Operations Assistant (Full Time – Office Based)
Job Purpose:
The Operations Assistant provides support to the HR and Operations Manager by taking day to day responsibility, under guidance, for various facilities, safety and administrative processes, including HR administration, as well as responsiblity for locking/unlocking of meeting rooms, routine health and safety tasks and other matters that contribute to making the office a pleasant and functional environment in which to work.
The duties will also include giving regular support to the Fulfilment Manager and under their guidance, process orders and support with despatch and deliveries, in addition to providing holiday cover, when the Fulfilment Manager is away.
Many aspects of this role require Manual Handling.

Main duties:

Update internal HR databases, such as PeopleHR and employee files

Fundraising Officer

We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Officer to join our small and friendly fundraising team. You will support the High Value Partnerships Manager and Community & Events Fundraising Manager, both of which are already well-established income streams with lots of great potential. Purpose of the role

Myeloma UK is looking for a driven and pro-active Events Fundraiser to join our growing Community and Events team. You’ll be joining the team as we continue to refine and expand our mass participation events portfolio including London Paris Ride, Great North Run and 100 miles for myeloma. About the role
As the Events Fundraiser you will be required to research, promote and deliver fundraising events, campaigns and activities, providing excellent stewardship to supporters, whilst working to help achieve monthly fundraising income targets. You will work to deliver an annual calendar of runs, walks, challenge and sporting events across the UK as well increasing support through Myeloma UK virtual and Facebook events.
The role holder will work with the Senior Event Development Fundraiser to provide the highest quality of event delivery as well as developing relationships, securing support, marketing, delivering and monitoring the event ensuring post event evaluation and future recommendations are made. They will also work closely with Community Fundraisers, supporting them as they identify opportunities to expand and diversify their fundraising portfolio.
You will work with other teams, develop materials required to support all marketing and promotion of events, ensuring organisational brand, style and key messages are adopted and ensure maximum use of database and other technology to increase operational efficiency within event fundraising.

We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Caseworker – Mentor Supervisor to join our New Leaf Young People Mentoring Project. This three-year initiative, funded by the Big Lottery, focuses on improving the life chances, personal resilience, and wellbeing of young people at risk of engaging with the criminal justice system through mentoring support delivered by our wonderful volunteer mentors. Additionally, the project incorporates restorative justice elements, delivering RJ interventions in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage referrals by liaising with referrers and conducting needs assessments using the Outcome Star tool.
- Provide mentoring support to young people for up to 12 weeks, facilitating the development of individual action plans.
- Match younger individuals with suitable volunteer mentors based on their unique needs.
- Supervise and support volunteer mentors through regular six-weekly supervision meetings, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination and administration of annual sponsored fundraising events Action Tutoring engages with, such as the Hackney Half marathon and London 10K, including the promotion of events, onboarding of runners, campaign page creation, encouraging participants to raise funds, organising materials to be sent to runners (e.g. t-shirts) and tracking of fundraising targets.
- Increase our participation in sponsored fundraising events, in London and our regional hubs.
- Ensure that relevant marketing materials (such as pictures and participants consent to share) are gathered and used to promote events. On occasion be open to travelling to specific events.

- Support the organisation and coordination of fundraising and key profile raising events, such as evening events, Action Tutoring anniversary celebrations or funder breakfasts, through sourcing suitable venues and overseeing logistics.

· Develop and implement a clear, outcome-focused leadership and management development offering for aspiring leaders to senior management.
· Design and deliver leadership and management training (and wider support/interventions) across Family Action.
· Embed a blended learning approach, including the curation of workshops, e-learning, coaching, mentoring, and other management learning resources.
· Actively support the implementation of the wider Learning and Development strategy and the continuous development of a strong organisational learning culture.

· CIPD Learning & Development level 5 or above (or equivalent significant experience/training/qualification)
· Good experience in a specialist Learning & Development role at Officer/Advisor level or higher
· Demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of leadership and management development as a subject matter expert
· Expertise in instructional design, including needs analysis, learning objectives, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
· Ability to develop blended learning solutions, incorporating digital tools, e-learning, and experiential learning methods.

The Individual Giving Manager will create, test, monitor and evaluate appeals and campaigns, lead on Legacy (and in-memoriam) giving, lottery and raffle and other income streams associated with individual giving.

About You
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will work closely with colleagues across the Income Generation and Marketing teams to deliver on a positive donor/ supporter experience with the aim of retention of current supporters for the long-term as well as acquisition of new donors, maximising the potential of all of our supporters. It forms a central part of the overall fundraising strategy, with the ultimate aim of growing our individual giving income to increase the impact of the charity and benefit those needing support in pregnancy, pregnancy loss or in the early years of having a baby.
