We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our dynamic fundraising team. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.

Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially in our programme numbers, securing a relatively stable income of c.£6m over a number of years. In recent years this has grown to c.£7m, and our organisational strategy to 2030/31 will continue this fundraising trajectory to increase income to £12m. With corporate income accounting for nearly half our fundraising, there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the corporate world for building strategic partnerships with The Sutton Trust.

Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure corporate support. We have a strong portfolio of existing supporters primarily from the legal, banking, and finance sectors, and our strategy involves expanding our reach into other sectors to support increased social mobility in UK businesses.

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will join a small and high-performing Corporate Partnerships team, taking over a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects at our ‘consortium’ partner level, ranging from £10k-£50k per annum.

You will identify, engage, secure, and steward corporate partner prospects from sectors that include law, construction, manufacturing and logistics, as well as supporting other team members across different sectors as the need arises. The existing portfolio of partners are primarily legal firms who also engage with our impactful programmes, and you will also have personal and team new business targets and support senior team members to steward our flagship partners.

We are looking for a fundraiser who is keen to develop their corporate fundraising skills, especially building relationships with delivery partners, strategic funders, and corporate foundations. Our ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, a confident communicator, and able to work independently under their own initiative as well as within the team.

The role will be line managed by the Head of Corporate Partnerships, working closely with other members of the Corporate Partnerships team, and collaboratively across the wider Development team and Employability Programmes team. 

Main duties

New business

• Personally scope, develop and secure new corporate partnerships at consortium level (£10k-£50k), aiming for a robust portfolio of partners in assigned sectors with multi-year commitments, working with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and other relevant stakeholders to appropriately to secure and steward.
• Support the Head of Corporate Partnerships to engage in proactive new business development within the corporate sector, including support for network mapping with senior volunteers.
• Manage writing and submission of reports and proposals for grants to corporate foundations, working alongside other Development team and wider organisation members to ensure high-quality submissions.
• Alongside team members, manage the shared Development inbox to ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a prompt, consistent, and friendly manner.
• Follow all relevant policies and processes to ensure due diligence is completed for all prospective donors, account management plans are kept up to date, and corporate partners receive high-quality stewardship.

Account Management and Development

• Manage and grow the portfolio of ‘consortium’ level corporate partnerships, including leveraging existing relationships to maximise financial income and partnership longevity.
• Support senior team members on designated high-value partnerships, including specific administrative and project tasks, e.g. coordinating meetings and webinars, attending programme visits, event invites, and volunteering opportunities.
• Write and deliver engaging and high-quality partnership proposals and reports for new and existing ‘consortium’ level funders, working with the wider Development team and relevant other Sutton Trust teams as appropriate.
• Be accountable for achieving agreed corporate income targets, looking for opportunities to grow funding and diversify corporate income.

Fundraising, Finance and Reporting

• Act as an ambassador for the Trust with external audiences in the corporate space, representing the Trust with confidence and enthusiasm to secure major gifts and develop relationships.
• Ensure the Trust’s CRM (Salesforce), account management plans, and all relevant income pipeline documents are kept appropriately up to date with activity from corporate partners, including accurate income forecasting.
• Attend appropriate meetings, such as the Employer Working Group, to represent the corporate team and portfolio of partners, and share information with colleagues across the Trust.
• Work with colleagues to support delivery of impactful events to cultivate prospects and steward partners, with a focus on experience for corporate partners and prospects.
• Appropriately follow policies and procedures on due diligence, Salesforce and data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.
• Stay up to date with corporate fundraising best practice, learning from senior members of the corporate team, and keep abreast of developments and opportunities within the wider fundraising space.

Terms of Appointment

• Office location: The Sutton Trust, 9th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP. Our home working policy gives staff the option to work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.
• Hours: The standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. This role is likely to also be required to attend events / meetings outside of normal working hours during weekday evenings and occasionally at weekends, in line with organisational policies.

The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton Hospital - a world leading specialist centre for complex heart and lung disease. We work in partnership with the teams on the wards, paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and in outpatient clinics. Our charity provides support and resources for patients, families and staff, as well as funding lifesaving medical equipment, accommodation - so that parents can stay close to their child during an admission, toys and entertainment for the playroom and improvements to the facilities to create the best possible environment for families to promote their wellbeing during what can often be a very challenging time. In collaboration with the hospital trust and the NHS we also fund research projects and develop new initiatives for babies, children and young people with heart and lung conditions. 

About You

Main Duties and Responsilbilties 

Community and Events Fundraising

• Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising events, including challenge events and community initiatives.

• Support the management of event logistics, including participant communication, volunteer coordination, and on-the-day activities.

• Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure smooth event operations and build strong relationships for future collaboration.

• Lead outreach efforts to engage new local community partners, such as (small) businesses, schools, and clubs, promoting fundraising opportunities and supporting their initiatives.

• Lead on generating income through supermarket schemes. • To represent the charity when required in schools, engagement events and cheque presentations. 

Individual Giving

• Manage the regular giving programme by implementing a rolling 12-month plan of meaningful touchpoints to deepen relationships.

• Develop and implement a plan to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors with personalised cultivation and stewardship.

• Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at lower to mid-level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys.

Supporter Care

• Serve as the primary point of contact for community and events fundraisers, delivering outstanding stewardship ensuring they receive the information and support needed to maximise their fundraising potential while maintaining the highest standards of stewardship and being respectful of potential sensitivities particularly when working with families who are fundraising in memory.

• Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.

• Maintain our CRM database ensuring accurate records to track communications, income, and supporter preferences, ensuring compliance with GDPR and data protection laws. 

Administrative and Financial Support

• Process cash and cheque donations, Gift Aid and matched funding claims, ensuring this income is processed and recorded accurately on our database.

• Manage the distribution of supporter resources, conduct stock checks for fundraising materials and ensure an organised work environment for all fundraising assets.

• Overseeing our online shop.

Marketing and Communication

• Create engaging materials (posters, leaflets, stories etc), social media content and e-newsletters to inspire participation in fundraising activities.

• Produce impact reports and collate information for the HOF to support fundraising initiatives and grant applications.

• Ensure fundraising and associated webpages are kept up to date. Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with the wider team (when required) to support in-hospital and community events as well as assisting with tasks as needed to ensure smooth charity operations.

• Support the CEO and team members with ad hoc projects, activities, and any high-priority tasks to contribute to overall team objectives.

• Any other duties as required by the Head of Fundraising.

Additional Information

Salary is £30,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE). The role covers 37.5 hours per week. Two days per week working in our charity office at Royal Brompton Hospital - London, and the remaining hours to be worked remotely. Occasional evening and weekend work subject to our events calendar. Exact working pattern to be discussed at the interview stage.

One-year fixed term contract with the potential to extend contract length subject to performance and funding.

A full driving licence or the ability to travel to events and meetings within London and the South East is essential.

This role would suit a candidate who has developed community projects before; someone who has taken vision/s and built them up from scratch until they have become flourishing projects, making a real difference to people's lives in a local community.

The Role

• Based at our office address of School 360, Sugar House Lane, Stratford, E15 2QS as well as various community project locations across the London Borough of Newham, with one day per week available for working from home
• Full time - Monday - Friday - 37.5 hours per week offered as a permanent contract

The Role

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the CEO/Director will be responsible for the overall strategic, financial, and operational leadership of Chelsea Theatre. This is a hands-on role with a focus on balancing the day-to-day running of the operational activities of the venue, with essential components such as stakeholder management, community engagement and income generation. 

Key Responsibilities

The postholder will: 

• Provide leadership and responsibility for the charity’s purpose, administration and financial management plus ensure compliance with the law and regulations. 

• Generate significant earned income from one-off and repeat hirers, including local community organisations, commercial contracts, arts organisations and private hires, with a focus on high quality customer care.

• Increase income from grants, corporates and funds from individuals, with support from Trustees.

• Run the building as a community centre, making an ever-increasing positive impact in the local community and beyond. 

• Motivate and engage a small team of staff and volunteers, and broad range of stakeholders and prospective supporters.

• Where necessary, with the team, be capable of delivering a range of operational tasks, such as updating the website and managing the box office systems.

• Act as ambassador for the charity, building relationships with partners and stakeholders in the community, local government and with businesses. 

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

• Work with the Board to develop and implement a clear vision and business strategy to ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of the Chelsea Theatre.

• Identify and maximise commercial opportunities, including venue hire, sponsorship, and partnerships. Support the Board with fundraising.

• Lead on business development and marketing initiatives to increase revenue while maintaining the venue’s community-focused ethos.

• Ensure the organisation’s mixed team of staff and volunteers are focused on supporting the business’s mission and objectives.

Venue & Operational Management

• Oversee all aspects of venue operations, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, customer experience, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Develop and manage budgets effectively, ensuring quality financial reporting, financial stability, and responsible stewardship of resources.

• Ability to optimise rental income and diversify income streams, while serving community needs. 

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, local authorities, businesses, and community groups.

• Operate within the annual budget. Monitor key indicators of the organisation’s impact and financial health. 

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

• Develop and nurture partnerships with the local community, ensuring the theatre remains a welcoming and accessible space for all.

• Work closely with the Board of Trustees to align organisational commercial goals with community needs and expectations.

• Further develop a balanced and funded community programme, which currently include a flagship youth theatre scheme, to reflect community needs and interests. 

• Represent Chelsea Theatre externally, acting as an advocate for its work and impact.

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to provide support to the CEO and Board of Trustees, as well as adding administrative capacity and office management function to the Staff Team. This is an integral role that requires a diligent, detail oriented individual, with a passion for the vision of Prison Fellowship.

Our mission is to show Christ's love to people in prison by coming alongside them and supporting them. We run a number of programmes, including Angel Tree, Sycamore Tree, Letter Link and Pastoral Care.

This position is 35 hours per week across five days. This role is based in our office in London (SW1). We are open to discussions about flexibility, including hybrid working.

Job Profile

CAFOD’s mission in the Catholic community of England and Wales is to inspire and equip Catholics to actively engage in the Church’s efforts to overcome poverty and injustice. Our regional teams focus on recruiting and supporting a dedicated group of volunteers within parish and school communities, empowering them to educate, engage, and inspire others to act in solidarity for the common good. Regional teams also collaborate with clergy and other representatives across the Catholic community to ensure CAFOD’s volunteer programme is aligned with faith life.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative and communications support to the Community Participation Coordinators across England and Wales, with a focus on the West & Wales region as the first point of contact. This includes coordinating administrative tasks performed by office volunteers and identifying opportunities for process improvements. The role also involves volunteer recruitment administration, overseeing and training Office Volunteers, and ensuring effective database management.

This role can be based anywhere in the UK including our head office in London, working from home, from one of CAFOD’s Volunteer Centres, or a combination of both. The role requires occasional travel to London and other areas within the East & West side of the country. Travel expenses will be reimbursed, and time off in lieu will be granted for travel beyond normal working hours.

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) and reports to the Volunteer Support and Development Coordinator.
