Competencies
- Knowledge, empathy, understanding and proven ability to work creatively and engage homeless people whose alcohol/ drug misuse/ mental health/ complex trauma has had significant effect on their physical and mental health, social and coping skills .
- Ability to assess needs, risks (within a framework of positive risk taking) and develop user led support plans.
- Awareness of and ability to identify and address health and care issues with partners, especially substance misuse, mental health, dementia etc.
- Ability to respond to challenging behaviour in a safe way.
- Ability to develop successful professional relationships, working collaboratively with external and internal partners , sharing expertise and learning from colleagues in health, social care,probation and voluntary sector etc
- Knowledge of and commitment to service user involvement, self empowerment, equalities, diversity andservice improvement

About the role

The Role
We’re seeking a visionary and collaborative Communications Lead to lead the next phase of our communications strategy. This role is about more than messaging — it’s about shaping a compelling and inspiring public voice for creative climate action.
You will be responsible for our brand, storytelling, content strategy, and creative outputs—ensuring that everything we do reflects our values, amplifies our impact, and deepens our reach across the cultural and climate landscape. You’ll also play a key role in supporting our impact including welcoming new cultural organisations, creative practitioners, environmental partners, and funders into our network.
This is a digital-first communications role, with a strong focus on content development, storytelling, and designing varied communication campaigns. You’ll oversee our editorial voice across blogs, email, social media, and digital content. Alongside our Marketing Lead, you will ensure our insights, tools, and narratives are warm, purpose-focused, clear, accessible, and optimised for reach and engagement. You will be someone who thrives on the combination of ambitious strategic thinking and delivering content and projects on the ground.

Essential
- Substantial experience in a senior communications role, ideally within the cultural, environmental, or non-profit sectors.
- Significant experience in designing and delivering successful communications strategies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a track record of developing clear, creative, and inclusive content.
- Strong experience in campaign development, brand implementation, visual storytelling, and communications project management.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Customer Experience Executive to join our team on a fixed term basis covering an internal secondment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, people-orientated, Customer Experience/ Supporter Care professional to join an established team at one of the most dynamic charities in the UK.
You’ll be a critical part of the Customer Experience and Engagement Team in our Communications Directorate. Focussing on supporter care, you’ll be committed to building and strengthening long term relationships with our customers – from service users to fundraisers, from campaigners to volunteers. We’re transforming our culture to be customer and insight driven and this role will play a major part in making that happen. You’ll be supporting the Customer Experience Manager in gathering customer intelligence and implementing evidence-based insights to reinforce and improve customer journeys.

Putting the experience of the customer first, you’ll help build long term relationships with our customers and keep them coming back for more. What we want from you
We’re looking for a people-focused, self-motivated, and hands-on individual who believes that every interaction matters. You’ll have experience working in a busy, customer-focused support team and enjoy the “nuts and bolts” of delivering customer-centred, insights-led experiences just as much as delivering the experience itself. You’ll help strengthen the relationships we have with our customers, so together we can create a world where lives aren’t limited by prostate cancer.

You’ll be comfortable highlighting the impact that every stakeholder has on our customers’ experiences. You’ll have experience using a CRM system (like Raiser’s Edge) and understand the importance of handling sensitive data in line with GDPR regulations. Ideally, you’ll also have a good understanding of fundraising rules, including Gift Aid.

About the role

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Global Safeguarding Team as our Senior Global Safeguarding Specialist reporting to the Global Safeguarding Director. This is a senior role in the team and will play a key part in managing and supervising safeguarding cases and investigations, as well as providing proactive support and guidance to Members and Country Programmes on a range of safeguarding topics. The role involves a considerable about of proactive prevention work such as designing and facilitating training and resources for a range of audiences (Boards, staff groups, volunteers, communities). The role involves organisation and facilitation of large-scale events and management of the Safeguarding Focal Point Network. This role supports the Global Safeguarding Director in implementing safeguarding policies and standards and works closely to deliver core safeguarding projects across the federation. - Lead and Co-lead safeguarding support country programme / member visits.

Standard working hours are 36.5 hours a week 9.30am until 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and from 9.30am until 4.00pm on Friday, including a paid lunch break of one hour.
We have embraced the benefits of working from home and at the same time, we value the contribution of face-to-face contact in building teamwork, collaborating with your colleagues, exchanging ideas and know-how, and for work efficiency. We therefore operate a hybrid working policy, where staff can work from home if they wish, however everyone is required to work in the office a minimum of 1 to 2 days a week with Tuesdays as the core day for regular whole team meetings.

Recruitment Process
We hope to meet initially with as many candidates as possible, however where demand is unusually high, we may not be able to meet everyone.
If your skills and experience are relevant to the role, you will likely meet with a member of the HR Team to talk through any questions you may have, and for us to find out a bit more about you.
You will then be asked to submit a technical task, for review by the panel prior to selecting the shortlisted candidates for interview, further details will be provided in the initial conversation.
Once the advertising has closed, we will invite the shortlisted candidates to a formal in-person interview on the 15th July 2025, with the view to appointing the Junior Salesforce Administrator as soon as possible after that. The successful candidate will ideally start in September 2025.
