The Learning Specialist contributes to the development and delivery of training materials and resources within the organisation. You will work closely with the Learning & Organisational Development Partner to support various learning and organisational development initiatives. You will also be key in the engagement and effective utilisation of Ambitious Learning (our eLearning platform).

You will design and develop training content for delivery through the LMS across various topics as directed, ensuring it meets the needs and learning styles of diverse staff. You’ll facilitate training sessions and assist in ongoing professional development programmes for Charity staff and managers, promoting continuous learning and growth. You’ll maintain central records and certifications, ensuring all training and learning initiatives comply with relevant regulations and standards.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A CIPD qualification (or working towards qualification) or equivalent Learning and Development qualification/experience.
• Demonstrable understanding of training intervention, design, delivery and evaluation principles.
• Skilled in LMS deployment, content development and management reporting.
• Skilled in deploying relevant eLearning tools and content.
• Demonstrable skills in developing learning and development, training and facilitation.

The Catalyst Collective is an innovative and rapidly growing non-profit organisation. Since our pilot programme launched in January 2021, we have expanded significantly. As we enter our fourth year of operation, we are seeking an organised and proactive Programme Manager to play a pivotal role in driving our growth and ensuring the successful delivery of our mentoring programmes.

The Programme Manager will work closely with the Programme Director to lead and manage key components of our mentoring programme. This includes building strong relationships with mentors, mentees, and partner schools, as well as coordinating training, enrichment activities, and programme delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, a passion for empowering young Black women, and the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

Mentee Recruitment and Induction

• Work closely with partner schools to finalise mentee cohorts.
• Visit schools to deliver induction sessions familiarising mentees with the programme.
• Lead mentor-matching sessions with support from Mentoring Coordinators.

Mentor Training and Onboarding

• Develop and deliver training sessions for mentors.
• Collaborate with the Recruitment Coordinator to ensure a diverse mentor pool.
• Support mentors to maximise the impact of their relationships.

Mentor Coordination

• Support a cohort of up to 30 mentoring pairs.
• Conduct monthly check-ins with each mentor.
• Facilitate mid and end-of-year reviews for mentoring pairs.

Enrichment Delivery and Planning

• Plan and deliver enrichment activities like career trips and work experience days.
• Evaluate the impact of enrichment activities and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with partners and vendors for enrichment events.

School Liaison

• Serve as the primary contact for partner schools.
• Regularly update schools on programme developments and mentee progress.

Safeguarding

• Act as a point of contact for safeguarding matters.
• Maintain accurate safeguarding records and ensure confidentiality.

Communications

• Produce a monthly mentor newsletter.
• Contribute to social media content.

Reporting

• Support the Programme Director in preparing updates for the Advisory Board and funders.
• Produce the End-of-year report showcasing the programme’s achievements.

Administration

• Review and approve in-person mentoring meeting requests.
• Conduct risk assessments.

Staff Management

• Line manage Mentoring Coordinators and the Programme Assistant.
• Provide task management to other team members as required.

Person Specification:

Essential Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in programme management, education, charity work, or volunteering.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including young people, schools, and professionals.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to groups.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Proficiency in IT tools and platforms, including Google Workspace, Zoom, and project management software.

Essential Knowledge

• Understanding of mentoring or coaching practices, especially for young people.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures.
• Awareness of issues facing young Black women in education and employment.

• Passionate about tackling educational and employment disadvantage.

Other Requirements

The role is largely responsible for delivery of 1MM Mentoring Programmes. This includes partnership development, matching mentors/mentees, and oversight of mentoring relationships. The role will help to establish a pipeline in line with 1MM’s aspirations for 2024 and beyond.  This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

1MM Regional Manager for Programme Delivery’s main tasks include:

• Helping 1MM to scale by helping establish over 150 new, high quality mentoring matches each quarter. (A match means that the mentor and the mentee have completed 1MM’s training and have had their first meeting)

• Meeting all quality assurance KPIs.

• Maximising conversion, retention, and mitigate drop-off

• Ongoing support for key stakeholder partners, including Youth Partners, and maintaining strong relationships.

• Securing at least one new partner per quarter.

• Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to users.

• Providing regular reports on progress related to the role.

• Potential for line-management responsibilities as the team grows.

Terms and Conditions: This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £29,000 per annum plus London Weighting (pro rata), up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata).  We also offer monthly team Learning and Development training sessions, and 15 hours volunteering allowance per year.

Job purpose

We are looking for a Programme Coordinator to support all aspects in the delivery of Challenge Works programmes. An enthusiastic team player with a knack for problem solving. Someone who is able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, moving effortlessly from day-to-day management to supporting the team on planning and strategy. The ideal candidate will have some programme assistant experience, including experience of developing, maintaining and revising systems, budget and financial monitoring, relationship management, communications and management of social media channels.

The Role

Programme Coordination

• Work closely with Programme Managers to enable smooth day-to-day programme execution.
• Monitoring of milestones, evaluation and finance to keep check of project budgets and deadlines. Flagging action points to the Programme Manager when necessary.
• Develop, maintain and revise (as necessary) systems that will underpin the delivery of the prizes.
• Carry out procurement activities end-to-end, including development of contracts, legal documents and CRM
• Development of key documents relating to the delivery of the prizes.

The Eve Appeal, working together with the Department of Health and Social Care, is delivering a groundbreaking programme on gynaecological health to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in London and beyond.

We are entering the final year of the programme and pivotal to its success will be bringing new SMEs on board so that we can deliver our health information to their staff. Up until March 31st 2025 there is no charge for SMEs to join the programme.

As Sales & Marketing Executive you will lead on researching and approaching new SMEs to joint the programme, complete all necessary contracts, lead on overall project management and co-ordination of the program, liaise with our external evaluators on monitoring and evaluation and other administrative tasks as directed.

This role will also line manage the Programme Leads – our staff who visit SMEs and deliver our health information talks.

No formal qualifications are needed for this role, nor is previous charity sector experience. What is important are the skills, experiences and potential you bring.

1. Managing the diary of the Director of Communications, including making appointments, resolving, or escalating any calendar conflicts, coordinating team meetings, room bookings, hospitality and travel arrangements where appropriate.
2. Supporting the Director of Communications with inbox management.
3. Providing administrative assistance to other members of the Communications team.
4. Being present on site for Communications events such as press conferences to meet and greet and to ensure smooth running of events.
5. Supporting team members with research administration as required - producing, collating, and delivering materials in line with the brief and deadlines.
6. Taking responsibility for managing and maintaining an effective records management system for the Communications team.
7. Proactively manage, review, and improve office procedures, including electronic filing systems, department processes, and policies, on an ongoing basis. Resolve or escalate any issues as appropriate.
8. Developing and maintaining good relationships with colleagues and stakeholders within the Communications teams across the Palaces and Dioceses.
9. Carrying out any other duties as required.

• Proven ability to manage diaries and administrative experience reporting to a manager or Director.
• Experience of liaising with a wide range of people in the course of work, including at a senior level.
• Good level of interpersonal and social skills.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and the internet, as well as a networked computer system and ability to use IT to find creative solutions.

The On The Water Project Assistant role:

The On The Water Project Assistant will support the delivery of the On The Water project at one of our boating stations in Birmingham. The project provides young people from outside Sea Cadets, age 9-14, the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills and build confidence through boating activity. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, inspiring, organized, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people with a attention to detail and real enthusiasm for the project.

Responsibilities as our On The Water Project Assistant will include:.

• The welcoming and registration of participants for the On The Water project
• Collecting and uploading daily statistics and figures that show how the project is progressing
• Making new and repeat bookings
• Talking to participants and their parents/carers about the opportunities within Sea Cadets
• Managing a waiting list and reducing drop-outs
• Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of participants alongside the Boat Station staff
• Ensuring that participants complete surveys to share their experience of the project and encourage adults to feedback on their young people’s experience
• Attending any meetings as required by the project
• Assisting with the evaluation of the On The Water project

• Previous experience of working with volunteers

The Concerts Team
The LSO’s Concerts team meticulously plans and organises all of the orchestra’s live and online performances, including the LSO’s main residency at the Barbican Centre; other UK concerts; commercial studio recordings; overseas tours; and all rehearsals.  The team develops key relationships with the LSO’s musicians, extras, conductors, composers, soloists, artist’s agents, promoters and other venues

Overall Responsibilities of the Tours Assistant/Coordinator:

• Prepare and follow up cost estimates, contracts, technical riders and invoices for tours and UK concerts 
• Coordinate logistics for overseas tours including travel, accommodation and per diem rates for the Orchestra. 
• Prepare, label and assist in distributing electronic train/flight tickets, assist in creating seating plans 
• Update and maintain the LSO diary and database (ArtsVision).
• Assist and advise players with their immigration arrangements. 
• Assist with instrument freight documents for overseas tours.
• Liaise with third parties on preparations and logistics for upcoming tours.
