Location: Remote – with semi-regular travel and out of hours working

GFS is seeking a creative and values led Programme and Participation Coordinator to bring our
programmes of youth activities to life and ensure that girls and young women (GAYW) are at the
heart of everything we do. This role sits within the Development and Impact Team and is key to
designing and delivering inclusive, evidence-informed activities that support and inspire girls, and
develop their socio-emotional skills to build confidence, friendships and wellbeing.
The Programme and Participation Coordinator will develop engaging activities and resources,
support training for delivery staff and administer the monitoring and evaluation of programmes.
They will also champion the voices of GAYW in decision making, and create and deliver
participation opportunities that ensure girl voices are heard across GFS. By connecting
programme design, impact measurement and participation, this role ensures that our work is truly
girl led. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, as well as volunteers and external
partners, they will help embed a culture of learning from and collaborating with girls.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about youth participation and wants
to make a difference to the lives of GAYW across England and Wales.

Young people who experience homelessness are more likely to experience it later in life too. Our purpose is to break this cycle.
For over 30 years, we have led a national network of 51 Youth Foyers, reaching approximately 3,100 young people aged 16-25 who can’t live at home every year.
Youth Foyers are more than a place to stay: they are thriving communities, with people - not circumstance - at the heart. By building on young people’s strengths, talents and aspirations, Youth Foyers offer a holistic living and learning opportunity for young people to realise their power and purpose, and move on equipped to thrive as independent adults.
What we do
Through community of practice events, consultation and training, and our quality development programme, we provide youth supported housing services with infrastructural support to adopt and deliver an impactful Youth Foyer service.
By working with services to build their resilience to external challenges, capacity to work holistically with young people, and high quality provision that centres youth voice, we increase the number of young people who move on from supported housing with the power and agency to thrive.
We’re now looking for a passionate programme coordinator with a flair for building positive relationships to join our team in the north west of England.
As Network & Programme Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with staff and young people in our Youth Foyer network.
By proactively listening to the network’s needs, ambitions and experiences; offering coaching and development opportunities; and guiding Youth Foyers through our accreditation programme, you will support services to develop and deliver transformational opportunities for young people who can’t live at home.
You will also be responsible for the delivery of funded programmes for and with young people (16-25) and staff in north west Youth Foyers.

Quakers in Britain is looking for a Faith in Action Coordinator to help strengthen and grow grassroots Quaker activism for positive social change. This is an ideal role for a ‘people person’ who is passionate about empowering others.
You will be working to strengthen a faith-driven movement by taking action on a range of peace and justice issues. You will bring a flexible, problem-solving approach to the work, providing advice and support to Quakers working on local projects and campaigns. You will help to build a stronger network of Quaker activists, who are inspired by faith and can learn from and support each other.
Building and nurturing good relationships is key to this role. You will need to respond with empathy and sensitivity to the needs of individuals and groups and identify how best to support them in their work. You will also need good organisational skills and be able to reflect on and learn from your work to inform future planning. The Faith in Action Coordinators also work with the wider team to contribute to newsletters and web and video resources to support Quakers to take action for climate justice and peace.
Experience in community development or community organising approaches would be an advantage, but skills are more important than background for this role. We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of experience.
Contract: Fixed term for one year (maternity cover).
Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week.
Location: Based at our offices in Leeds (LS2) or London (NW1), or at home if you do not live within reasonable commuting distance. Office-based staff can work at home some of the time by agreement. Regular travel required.
