The Finance & Administrative Officer role offers the opportunity to join a young and growing registered charity at an exciting point in its evolution, and to help lead on establishing Crystal Palace Park as an exemplar in urban park management, community-led regeneration and cultural and heritage programming whilst restoring its position as one of the UK’s leading visitor attractions.

We are seeking candidates who have experience working in a finance function and have skills in office management and administration including data processing. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Corporate Services, the role provides support in bookkeeping, credit control (inputting of sales and purchases invoices), health and safety and smooth running of the office (ranging from ensuring there is milk in the fridge to ordering stationery as well as IT requirements). As the main point of contact for callers and visitors an awareness of excellent customer service will also be needed. The role is very varied and will suit a candidate skilled at multi-tasking and who has attention to detail. 

The appointment comes at a pivotal moment: in September 2023, after 25 years of community campaigning, Crystal Palace Park Trust took over custodianship of this unique landscape via a 125-year lease from the London Borough of Bromley. We are now working closely with them and a wide variety of other park and community stakeholders to deliver our mission: to protect, manage and improve Crystal Palace Park as a green, historic, ecological, recreational, sporting, cultural and educational resource in the interests of park users and of the wider community.

Job Summary

Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.

The Museum is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual for the role of Philanthropy Executive. Working alongside an approachable and highly successful Philanthropy team, reporting into the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, the role will support the development of our Principal giving programme (highest level funders of seven figure+). You will focus on the administration of the programme: preparing briefings, written correspondence, data base management and working closely with the Senior Principal Gifts Manager to create compelling proposals. Alongside supporting this, you will have your own portfolio of five to six figure funders and prospects and will need to maintain a high level of organisation and excellent communication to build both internal relationships and external relationships with donors and prospects.

Main Responsibilities

Fundraising

· Raise income in line with agreed personal targets and KPI’s, contributing to the Philanthropy team’s current annual income target of £7m+.

· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager in their management of seven-figure gifts.

· Establish strong cross-Museum relationships to develop programme ideas in line with funders’ interests and support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager to craft compelling cases for support.

· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, Head of Philanthropy and Director of Development to plan and implement creative strategies to increase philanthropic gifts at the seven-figure gift level.

· Prepare written briefings for senior management for meetings with prospective donors as well as follow up documentation and correspondence.

· Ensure all required gift reporting is delivered to the highest standards, supporting the development of robust evaluation processes with colleagues where needed.

· Promote best practice in fundraising across the NHM.

Finance and Administration

· Ensure that Raisers Edge is updated regularly and in line with the requirements for each event or activity and work closely with key database managers to ensure records are kept up to date.

· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager, wider Philanthropy team and Director of Development, with meetings, visits and event organisation, including, supporting the delivery of events and writing briefings ahead of donor meetings.

· Support the Senior Principal Gifts Manager and Head of Philanthropy with Raiser’s Edge data- inputting and gift administration, including gift processing, acceptance and due diligence forms, ensuring full and timely records of all activity are kept on the database.

 General

· Stay informed of key developments within the sector by monitoring government and third-sector policies and relevant publications.

· Attend evening and occasional weekend meetings and events, as required within the nature of the post.

· Assist with other duties that may be reasonably required.

We’re looking for a part-time Grants and Trusts Officer (2.5 days a week). Office or home based, they will be a vital member of our fundraising team, working closely with programme staff and the CEO to continue to grow grant funding for our work – shaping funding bids, managing grants and reporting, and building relationships with funders and funding networks.

Increasing and diversifying the sources of grant funding for A Rocha UK’s work is key to our fundraising strategy. Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.

In this role, the Advisor will be instrumental in contributing towards the team’s annual income target and supporting additional planned growth in the coming years. 

Responsibilities

This role will provide proactive and efficient administrative and operational support to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees, whilst observing the strictest confidence. Provide proactive and efficient administrative support at the Head Office. The Senior Leadership Team comprises the Chief Executive, Director of Care Services, Director of Finance and Operations, Director of Fundraising and Engagement and Director of HR & Volunteering. The role is responsible for a wide range of cross-organisational tasks and projects as directed and will be part of a job share arrangement, working 3 days per week. The post holder will live the Rainbow Trust Values and effectively communicate with all stakeholders, over the telephone, online, by email and face to face.

About the role:

This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized company and Top 20 charity is looking to appoint an Executive Assistant to provide proactive and efficient administrative and operational support to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees, whilst observing the strictest confidence. This is a part time job share role, working 3 days per week.

Reporting to the Chief Executive you will be responsible for a wide range of cross-organisational tasks and projects, including leading on general operational issues at Head Office including franking machine, stationery orders, cleaning materials, managing and monitoring switchboard voicemail messages, sign-in sheets, shredding, parking etc. You will act as key point of contact for Trustees and a wide range of external contacts, maintaining a professional, confidential and responsive approach.

Having worked in an administrative support role, you will have exceptional organisational skills and will support the Senior Leadership with their day-to-day activities, including the monitoring the progress of their various projects and organising, as required, internal and external meetings for each SLT member including sector-wide meetings.
