Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team to co-ordinate all strands of volunteering activity across the Commission, including onboarding new programmes onto the volunteer management system. You will be the go-to person for system changes, training and general setup, ensuring all users internal and external have an excellent experience.

You will champion and promote volunteering across the organisation and externally, seeking out new volunteer opportunities and reaching out to new audiences as well as existing volunteers and community groups.

We would like you to have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the voluntary sector, with experience developing and delivering training courses and workshops for managers. You will have a strong knowledge of volunteering processes, data storage and systems and have excellent IT skills.

With your strong interpersonal skills, you will be fluid at engaging and influencing people at all levels and be an active and positive collaborator.

This is a varied role which will require excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. You will have a flexible attitude with the ability to remain resilient, calm and efficient when under pressure.

You must be within a reasonable commute from our Maidenhead Head Office at 2 Marlow Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 7DX. On-road parking and public car parks are located approximately ten minutes’ walk from the office. We are also located within a ten-minute walk of Maidenhead train station and the Town Centre bus stops.

During the current Covid-19 situation we are working from home. We will return to the office in line with UK Government advice and guidance. The role-holder will be expected to work at the office when required.
