Duties and responsibilities:

1.Lead and Develop Shop Teams

You’ll provide inspirational leadership to a team of Shop Managers and volunteers, supporting them to reach their full potential. This includes overseeing recruitment, training, regular one-to-one meetings, and performance management to ensure each shop team is motivated and high-performing.

2. Drive Sales and Maximise Profit

You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding income targets across multiple retail sites. By analysing performance data, reviewing pricing strategies, and identifying local opportunities, you’ll help each shop reach its full potential, delivering vital funds for the Centre for Peaceful Solutions (CPS).

3. Support and Deliver the Retail Strategy

Working closely with the CEO and Administrative Officer, you’ll play a key role in implementing our Retail Strategy and Business Plan. You’ll help shape the operational direction of our charity shops, ensuring consistency, innovation, and alignment with organisational goals.

4. Ensure Operational Excellence and Compliance

From shop floor standards to back-office processes, you’ll ensure that all shops adhere to charity policies, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices. You’ll also support Gift Aid performance, stock management, merchandising and customer service.

5.Build Relationships and Promote the Brand

You’ll act as an ambassador for Peaceful Solutions in the community, building positive relationships with local stakeholders and supporters. You’ll work to increase engagement, generate quality stock donations, and ensure our shops are seen as welcoming, professional and community-focused.

6. Provide Flexible Shop Cover and Support Growth

This field-based role requires flexibility across seven days. You’ll provide cover during staff absences and be involved in launching and supporting new shops as we expand across London

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a rota which includes day and late shifts, bank holidays, and weekends. Hours will range between 09:00 - 17:00 and 13:00 - 21:00

About the role

Our residents in this service have experienced long-term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals. 

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion for what we do as an organisation, and particularly in supporting those who have faced homelessness and may have other complex needs. Our residents needs are at the forefront of service delivery, so someone who can build trusting professional relationships is key. You will be adaptable, proactive, and able to use your initiative to resolve challenges.. You will be able to work within a team, and have previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, putting their needs first for the team to be able to deliver support to their needs. What are we looking for:

• Understanding of the needs of those who have faced homelessness and have various complex needs including mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency
• Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

Summary

We have a brand new opportunity for a Marketing Specialist Apprentice to support the Central Quadrant of Harris secondary academies, helping to identify, attract and engage our communities.

Working with the Assistant Director and Principals from the Quadrant, you will have the opportunity to support with our Academy marketing strategies, including social media channels, newsletters, events and create graphic designs, images and videos for both organic and paid campaigns. You will also work with the Federation Talent Attraction Partner.

This is an apprentice role with a fixed-term duration of 18 months. Your learning will be supported by the completion of the Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship programme.

The Central Quadrant academies are based in Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Croydon and Bromley and the successful candidate will be part of the academy team. We can be flexible on your base academy within the Central Quadrant.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Capital Project Manager to play a pivotal role in the transformation and development of our school estate. Purpose of the job

This role is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to join the UK Youth Network Delivery Department. The Summer Jobs Programme is the largest programme in UK Youth’s portfolio. Funded until the end of 2026, the programme is currently operating in its second year. The purpose of this role is to identify and secure employment placements, including those that generate some income, for The Summer Jobs Programme as well as overseeing the employer journey from start to end. Working closely with the Summer Jobs Programme Manager, the Employer Engagement Manager has key input into the work experience aspect of the programme. 

The Summer Jobs Programme is a paid employment initiative running from July to September 2025 and 2026, supporting vulnerable young people in England and Wales. It aims to reduce youth violence and improve future engagement in education, training, and work by removing barriers to employment and offering structured, empowering opportunities. Young people begin with a one-week pre-employment training course, followed by a five-week job placement. Throughout, they’re supported by both a local youth worker and an employer-based supervisor to ensure they receive consistent guidance.

Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund and Youth Futures Foundation, the programme launched in 2024 with over 400 participants and has expanded in 2025. A built-in Randomised Control Trial (RCT) will assess its impact on youth violence and long-term outcomes. In 2026, the programme will grow further, completing a three-year period of delivery and investment aimed at driving long-term, evidence-based change.

A mission-driven and impact focused single programme NGO is seeking a Finance Business Partner with strong financial modelling skills for a part-time, fully remote fixed term contract for approximately 4-6 months. The role is to support the Finance Director, HR team, CEO and other stakeholders with business partnering, along with specific financial modelling projects.

The organisation’s mission is to get 3-6 year old children in rural Africa to thrive. They have developed an award-winning Early Childhood Development programme, proven its impact through rigorous evaluation, and scaled it with governments in both Ghana and Uganda. It is currently reaching over 300,000 children per year, and we aim to reach 1 million children per year by 2028. The programme benefits both preschool age children and unlocks the potential of marginalised rural parents.

You will work in a busy finance team based in the UK, Ghana and Uganda. The role can be done fully-remotely from within the UK, and the salary range on offer is circa £50,000 - £60,000 FTE (pro-rata). It is anticipated there will be around 2-3 days work per week for approximately 4-6 months.

Experience within a business partnering / modelling role within the NGO sector would be very useful, but is not essential.

Duties include:

• Work focused on adaptions for new contexts: The programme targets rural communities in Ghana and Uganda. This year the organisation plans to scale to a new country and to test ways to adapt it for this new context. They are also keen to explore whether the programme can be adapted for refugee settings.
• Financial modelling focused on selecting a new country to launch the programme
• Specific cost modelling and fundraising modelling around the corporate sponsorship of the organisation’s radio station project

• Develop and strengthen robust and flexible cost models (including sensitivity analyses/stress testing) to guide decisions around the pace and rate of scale, staffing & resource requirements (HR), ensure value for money and maximise cost efficiencies.
• Develop robust budgets for new and renewal funder applications, considering complexities around funder restrictions, currency exchange and forecast economic conditions.
• Analysis and modelling on organisational procedures & policies and capacity building projects

Requirements:

• Fully or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience with finance business partnering to a range of stakeholders
• Strong financial modelling skills – ideally in things such as cost analysis, funding analysis etc
• Intermediate/advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills
• An understanding of international charity finance - donor reporting, programmes finance, foreign currency transactions is useful

Summary

Greenhouse is a national Church of England programme that supports churches to grow new disciples by starting new worshipping communities. The programme works with and through dioceses to support small teams from parishes and other contexts to grow their church.

Greenhouse is moving into the Lay Ministries Team for the next three years, and we are looking for someone to lead this programme within the team. Through Greenhouse we aim to continue to support parishes to grow new worshipping communities through local teams that include confident lay leaders. This role requires someone who can lead this work at a strategic level as well as holding responsibility for the national implementation of Greenhouse as it moves into a new season.

This work supports the aim of the Church of England's Vision & Strategy, of becoming a Church where mixed ecology is the norm, where every person in England has access to an enriching and compelling community of faith.

Sitting within the Ministry Development Team, the national Lay Ministries Team champions and supports the wide range of lay ministries across the Church of England, including ministry with children, young people and their families.

We work with dioceses and other partners to identify and share best practice, grow new vocations and ensure lay ministers are equipped to flourish and thrive.

It's an exciting time for the Lay Ministries Team as our work expands and develops, building on existing success and piloting work in new areas.

We are seeking a coordinator for our educational mentoring programme for young refugees and asylum seekers. The coordinator will oversee our West London mentoring hub by recruiting and training volunteer mentors and matching them to young people needing additional educational support.

We would particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of forced migration for this role.

This role will be located at Battersea Old Windsor or Battersea London with regular travel to Old Windsor.

The Capital Project Manager will be responsible for leading a £4-5M project that will build a new Cattery facility at our Battersea Old Windsor site. The role will oversee all aspects of the project to ensure the capital project is completed on time, within budget and to the required standards and design. This will include working with colleagues in Animal Care, Infrastructure and Income Generation teams to ensure the project has appropriate funding, the design and build of the cattery meets Battersea’s strategic and operational requirements and that the operational impact of the construction is effectively managed to minimise the impact to dogs and cats across our centres during the works.

Key Tasks

• To develop, with appropriate input from the Director and Partnership Manager, the Network’s approach to engaging with parliamentarians (Politics Alongside) in line with its values and practices 
• To ensure that Poverty Truth Commissioners are at the heart of the Network’s parliamentary engagement
• To develop and, where appropriate, establish links with UK and devolved Parliaments and governments to promote the work of the Network 
• To coordinate and help to deliver parliamentary events on behalf of the Network, including mapping topics and attendees, working with other partners as appropriate 
• To support the development of effective links with Combined Authorities and other devolved administrations
• To work closely with members of the Amplify Team to promote its groups proposals for change
• To support parliamentary engagement, including through written briefings, for the Network’s other national programmes, including Economics for All

Schools Coordinator

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Schools Coordinator (Impact Officer) to work as the primary link between partner schools and the CYUK programme.

This youth and education charity empowers diverse 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, the charities volunteers support children who are furthest away from opportunity in the UK.

Position: Schools Coordinator (internal title School Impact Officer)

Training location: E1 6EG - 1 day per week (with some working from home)

The Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers and monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.

The Impact Officer is based predominantly in a school and is the primary link between the partner schools and the programme and is the enabler of the programme delivery.  You will support a team of volunteer mentors, who support school activities by coordinating, managing and evaluating the programme.

The Volunteer Mentors also complete a Leadership and Development programme and you will work with them on a professional development plan to chart their continuous professional development and ready them for employment.

The role is primarily a school-based post from Monday to Thursday and is based in a regional venue on most Fridays. See locations above.
