South Kilburn Trust (SKT) is a Community Development Trust working to improve the lives of residents in an area of London that is undergoing a long-term physical regeneration. Job Description

Job Purpose

To lead the operational delivery, activation, and ongoing management of two new public-facing community assets: an affordable workspace and a smart, environmentally sustainable event space. You will balance access, quality, and sustainability by ensuring these spaces meet the needs of Kilburn’s dynamic and diverse community, while also generating revenue to support their long-term viability.

Key Responsibilities:

Space Setup and Launch

• Oversee handover and mobilisation of the affordable workspace and event hall as they are phased in between Sep–Jan 2025
• Liaise with Brent Council, contractors, and partners during transition and setup

Facilities and Operations Management

• Ensure buildings are safe, welcoming, well-maintained, and sustainably run. Manage contractors responsible for building maintenance and upkeep.
• Manage lettings, bookings, and contracts for both spaces including catering kitchen
• Monitor budgets and report on commercial activity

Workspace Activation

• Programme and deliver enterprise-focused activities in the affordable workspace
• Build a local network of entrepreneurs and facilitate community connections
• Manage and pre-let additional studio spaces opening Dec 2025

Venue Promotion & Community Engagement

• Market the event hall as both a community asset and revenue-generating venue
• Balance community events (weddings, cultural events) with corporate hires (Mon–Thurs)
• Ensure access and pricing remain fair, inclusive, and community-first

Strategy & Future Planning

• Contribute to visioning and strategic planning for long-term space management
• Help define the opportunity for an external operator post-2027 practical completion

Person Specification

Essential

Experience activating community or commercial spaces

Skilled in facilities and building management, and familiarity with CRM and booking systems.

Highly organised, able to manage projects end-to-end.

The Role

Reporting into our Customer and Neighbourhood Director, you'll be responsible for the development of strategies, policies and procedures relating to all tenancy sustainment activities. Being a specialist in this field, you'll also scan the horizon to identify potential significant changes in external policy and financial landscape, introducing best practice from other organisations and sectors.

You'll be the main point of contact internally for all matters relating to tenancy sustainment, working collaboratively across the business to ensure that consistent best practices are embedded within Locality teams and the wider business. Externally, you'll represent SNG and our commitment and vision in tenancy sustainment – influencing and working alongside key external stakeholders and delivery partners, building relationships aligned to our corporate and customer strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with internal and external stakeholders to provide and source expert advice, and manage the development of services, to ensure SNG meets its commitments, monitors its performance and evidences its delivery relating to regulatory obligations, changing regulations, guidance and best practice
• Developing and leading a stakeholder management plan across local, regional and national government bodies responsible for the delivery to specialist areas
• Piloting partnerships with other services to enhance the provision of support to SNG's customers and developing funding solutions to provide support to core budgets
• Managing large complex annual budgets, ensuring appropriate monitoring of expenditure and compliance with procedures and levels of approval

What we need from you

• Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks
• Evidence of delivering on innovative concepts, utilising future changes in policy to support flexibility in a responsive organisation

• Ability to inspire, support and develop others to optimise their performance

Job Purpose

This role is a senior leadership team member and strategic lead for all corporate and consumer communications, member business engagement and marketing.

The relationship with our business community is essential to the success of The Fitzrovia Partnership (TFP) and the delivery of the organisation’s vision and it is a key part of our strategy to ensure that businesses are aware of us and the services and projects we deliver. As such you would be responsible for the delivery of member engagement.

You will lead the marketing and communications function and manage the Marcomms team, continually developing and implementing effective marketing and communications strategies clearly articulating TFP’s vision, aims, projects and services.

Finally, you will provide strategic oversight and development for:

· Member communication strategy including BID renewal communications

· Consumer communications and campaigns strategy

· Social, wellbeing, member event and training programmes

· All communications channels including newsletter, websites, social media

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Senior Leadership

· To play a role together with the CEO and the Director of Policy and Place in setting the overall vision of the organisation and ensuring delivery specifically in relation to the agreed business plan.

· Have a key role working closely with the Board and relevant sub-groups.

· To represent the organisation publicly as required, and step in for the CEO as required.

Member Engagement

· Driving, developing and ensuring implementation of the member engagement strategy.

What we need…

About the role

Are you passionate about shaping policy to improve workforce health and reduce inequalities? We are seeking a Policy and Research Manager to join our Healthy Lives directorate and contribute to advancing the recommendations of the Commission for Healthier Working Lives.

In this pivotal role, you will lead the delivery of policy development and research projects, including externally commissioned work, ensuring outputs are delivered on time and with impact. You will support the implementation of a programme testing preventative workplace interventions, synthesise emerging evidence, and develop credible policy recommendations to influence decision-makers.

You will also play a key role in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, representing the Health Foundation externally, and communicating insights to a wide range of audiences across policy, practice, and research communities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving health through action on the wider determinants. We are looking for someone who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-profile environment.

The Healthy Lives directorate leads the Health Foundation’s strategic work on the wider determinants of health, focusing on areas such as employment, education, housing, and community. Within this, the Economic Determinants of Health team builds evidence and policy analysis to influence government and employer action. The Role
We are seeking a Marketing Executive (Commercial) to help us deliver this vision, driving impactful marketing and communications campaigns that support our commercial ambitions, grow engagement and strengthen our long-term sustainability.  This role will deliver multi-channel campaigns that raise awareness, drive engagement, and support commercial revenue across areas such as venue hire, weddings, groups, film location hire, tenancy, and Master Ropemakers Ltd. A key part of the role will be supporting the re-launch of Commissioner’s House, our flagship hospitality venue, reopening in 2026.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager and working closely with your marketing colleagues, you will create and manage content, update commercial website pages, deliver targeted email campaigns, support social media and advertising activity, and coordinate photography/videography projects. You will also collaborate across departments to promote a wide range of commercial services and contribute to the Trust’s long-term strategic objectives.

You'll play a vital role in developing work experience opportunities for adults with learning disabilities as well as supporting our team members into permanent employment. This is a new role which will require you to show heaps of flexibility and learn-as-we-go in order to shape and develop our impact into the future.

You'll support and develop our team. This means:

• managing a caseload of between 6 and 10 people who are neurodivergent and/or have a learning disability, and who are looking to move into supportive employment locally
• preparing our team members for long-term employment by supporting them to understand their skills, aspirations and goals by offering employment profiling, job matching, action planning and skill development opportunities
• working to a minimum target of 2 adults moving into long term employment by the end of your contract
• undertaking monthly work coaching sessions for team members to develop and upskill them in brewing and bar management skills
• supporting team members to reduce work-related barriers such as travel-to-work, better-off calculations, disclosure of health & wellbeing needs and budgeting
• providing in-work support to assist team members in maintaining and retaining employment, including frequent in-person meetings during the first few months of a successful employment match

You'll be responsible for our employer engagement. This means:

• undertaking tailored job searches and proactive engagement with employers to source supportive, paid job opportunities which meet our team members preferences and match their developing skillset
• identifying potential opportunities for employment within their businesses and sales opportunities amongst employment partners
• providing education and support to employers, which may include negotiating adjustments and on-going employer support to ensure job retention
• building Ignition’s profile as a skills-based, local employment specialist

You will develop our wider employability programme. This means:

• organising and facilitating regular employment taster days for people with learning disabilities looking to move into work in order to raise aspirations and developing an understanding of the workplace
• planning & running CV development workshops to help adults with learning disabilities prepare for the world of work
• developing our evidence-based employability model, drawing on good practice from other sectors, in order to constantly improve and refine the model

As part of your 20 hours per week, you will also be required to undertake one evening or weekend shift per week of up to 6 hours, as a Taproom Supervisor.

What we need from you (the essentials):

• experience of working or volunteering with neurodivergent adults or people with learning disabilities
• experience of leading, teaching, coaching, mentoring or otherwise supporting groups of people
• an understanding of the barriers to employment experienced by adults with learning disabilities
• proven experience of meeting and exceeding outcomes and targets
• well organised with experience of managing a varied workload
• outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build rapport with people
