The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a reliable, conscientious and self-motivated individual to join the Inspire Management Information (MI) team as an MI Data Systems Manager.

Inspire provides a full MI service to the nine local authorities that make up the London East sub-region and we work in close partnership with wider London local authorities, career companies and other national partners to support the needs of young people through the intelligent use of management information. We have a reputation for providing insightful and informative data analysis to meet local and national requirements, always ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and security.

Key responsibilities of the MI Data Systems Manager include:

• Supporting the Deputy Director and Senior Systems Manager to develop, implement and manage the MI service.
• Monitoring of data integrity and quality within the database.
• Preparing the submission of mandatory management information to the Department for Education within set deadlines and to national standards.
• Supporting a MI helpline to users of the system.
• Interrogation of the database to conduct analysis and create reports.
• Developing and delivering training in the use of the database.
• Managing a team member.
• Taking lead responsibility for the production, analysis and presentation of MI reports.
• Maintaining a high level of understanding of all national requirements relating to the service.
• Contributing to effective teamwork and information sharing

§  Communicating and liaising with the internal staff/volunteer team and external agencies and services to include liaising with other mental health/ maternity care service providers and VCSE organisations to cross-refer.  

§  Delivering training sessions for staff and volunteer, sessional workers and placements.

§  Managing regular Co-ordinators meetings  

§  Offering quarterly management supervision to staff team.

§  Offering regular management supervision group for volunteers.  

§  Assist with the co-ordinating of supervision arrangements for the Staff team and placement students.

§  Publicise service across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire

§  Demonstrate an ability to empathise, encourage and support women towards recovery.

§  Promote MfM services to women during activities, as appropriate.

§  Collect and collate data, arrange for completion of monitoring and evaluation forms. Write timely reports giving feedback on the services for the CEO and for project funders.

§  Work in close collaboration with MfM colleagues in the development of the services to act in the best interests of MfM at all times. 

§  Triage and manage the waiting lists for the services.

§  Supporting women as required within project work.

The Job

The Learning Networks Portfolio Manager will:

• Report to the Managing Director

• Be employed on a permanent contract

• Be based remote or hybrid, with regular travel to London

• Be paid a pro rata full-time equivalent salary of £45,000-50,000

The Role In Brief

This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. It will be a varied role and will require someone to lead project teams in the design and delivery of high quality national learning programmes, while also playing a key role in the development of Koreo as an organisation
better able to build a just and regenerative future.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery and development of a portfolio of national learning programmes and projects. This portfolio of work is primarily focused on cross-sector learning programmes that bring cohorts of people together around learning missions. Examples include Civic Futures and the London Engagement Collaborative
with the GLA.
2. Responsible for sustaining and growing the portfolio, and with it Koreo’s profile, network, and income. This might be focused on developing the existing programmes in the portfolio, or could include wider writing, public speaking, pitching and networking
which support the distribution of the work.
3. An internal leadership role in developing a just and inclusive culture in which a diverse team can do its best work. This includes line management of one Project Coordinator, development of organisational practice and process, and work with the team on culture and development.

Strategic Leadership:

● Experience of a role with responsibility for the leadership of a team or portfolio of projects.

● Experience of strategy development and implementation, either at a programmatic or an organisational level.

Programme Management & Delivery:

● Experience of leading the design and delivery of learning programmes in an equivalent environment. 

● Experience leading projects which required the effective management of a range of stakeholders through project and programme work. You will be able to demonstrate how you have engaged with those stakeholders to build their connection with and investment in the project, and how you managed that work. 

● Experience of designing and facilitating learning/collaboration/experimentation spaces for individuals and groups, either in an organisational or programmatic context. 

● Skills & Knowledge which enable you to design high quality programmes and learning spaces, to support individuals with their learning, and to facilitate group spaces. 

● A familiarity with subjects relevant to Koreo’s work is essential. Successful candidates will likely be interested in subjects like collective impact, new approaches to power, working in and with complex systems, organisational design and psychology, participatory futures, activism and organising, multi-disciplinary practice, and much more that we don’t know about yet.

● An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written skills.

Operational Excellence:

● Experience working in a role which required excellent project planning, management & reporting. 

● Experience working in a role in which you were responsible for building and then delivering against project budgets.

● Experience working with a CRM to manage relationships and programmes of work. 

● An ability to organise and manage yourself, to work and deliver at pace to a high standard across a number of projects, to spot and solve problems as part of a proactive attitude.

● An ability to cope well with competing demands and changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and an ability to work in different settings and with different people.

Development & External Influencing:

● An understanding of the landscape of social change work, with a particular focus on UK non-profit and public sectors and the needs of people, organisations and networks in this space. 

● Experience of winning, and/or growing projects or programmes of work to deliver on a business development target. This may be through growing existing projects, writing proposals/tender responses, or by taking a new idea from concept to operational delivery. Experience of doing this in an equivalent context is desirable.

● An ability to influence externally, with a particular focus on the production of content (in the form of blogs, articles, reports, videos, infographics) that support campaigns and external influencing. 

People & Culture

● An ability to building positive relationships in a small, busy and ambitious team, leading and able to hold relationships with colleagues and our wider community.

● A commitment to your own personal development and learning, and an understanding of how that development will be supported by your work at Koreo.

It’s desirable, but not essential that the person has:

● An understanding of Justice, EDI, and anti-oppression and how to apply that understanding into organisational development.

● Experience of designing and delivering cross sector learning networks.

● Experience of client and account management in a consultancy context.

● Experience of designing spaces for cross-sector groups.

● Familiarity with practices like coaching, action learning, or particular methods of group work.

● Experience using Asana or an equivalent.

● Experience using Hubspot.

● An existing network in a relevant sector.

Head of UK Programmes Grants and Programmes Contract: Fixed term to 31st May 2025 (maternity cover)

Hours: 35 hours per week - open to part time/ flexible work discussions.

Head of UK Programmes is the senior lead on UK-wide grants and programmes, working closely with nation teams and fundraising to shape and deliver a sector leading portfolio of programmes that is evidence informed, and evidence generating, catalysing positive change for carer organisations and unpaid carers. This role requires an established social sector leader who is adept at demonstrating internal and external leadership,

As a seasoned programmes professional your leadership accountability for UK Programmes spans from development through to implementation and you will work closely across the nations to steward and role model a joined up approach across Carers Trust’s programme cycle, leading to meaningful and coherent programming.

The role holder will instill a learning and continuous improvement culture across the programmes and impact community, to ensure that programmatic learning is used to inform our network offer, evolving research agenda and influencing activities. BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND PURPOSE OF THE POST

The Institutional Relations team is responsible for donor engagement and influencing, institutional funding, and partnerships in the UK. It comprises the Head of Institutional Relations, a Commercial Contracts Manager and three Programme Funding Officers.

As part of HI’s 2016-2025 strategy, we have ambitious targets for growth in institutional funding from UK donors, and more broadly, a focus on building strategic relationships with key UK donors and partners. Given the changing external funding environment and evolving context in the UK, we are looking for an individual who is willing to be flexible and adapt to the context in order to meet the organisation’s needs and have the biggest impact for people with disabilities.

The main purpose of this post is:

· Improving our track record for UK and other funding by increasing internal understanding of donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, supporting high quality submissions, grant management and donor compliance

Strengthening relationships with, and generating and managing funding from UK and other institutional donors and partners

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Promoting our work and building relationships with institutional donors

Supporting the work of the Head of Institutional Relations, you will have sound knowledge of the donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, and contribute proactively to influencing their funding strategies and priorities. Duties include:

· Maintain a good understanding of HI’s programmes, strategy and approach and communicate this externally.

· Identify and build relationships with a portfolio of large public and private institutional donors and their key suppliers (e.g. INGOs and for-profit development companies), mobilising colleagues from UK and across the global organisation as required.

· Work with country programmes to develop country-level action plans to engage with local representatives of UK donors and partners, in order to strengthen in-country relationships, influence donors’ country-level plans and access in-country funding opportunities. This will also involve supporting the development of multi-year operational plans and advise on the funding possibilities offered by UK institutional donors.

· Anticipate future trends and the expectations of the donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, influence their policies and strategies, and negotiate and consult with them on institutional funding matters, in liaison with the appropriate colleagues from the UK team and federal network.

· In coordination with the Head of Institutional Relations and the Chief Executive, monitor and where needed, contribute to collective work and advocacy initiatives in collaboration with partners and INGO networks (such as the Start Network and targeted Bond groups) with the aim of raising HI’s profile and influencing UK donors in line with our influencing priorities.

Generate and manage institutional funding from UK donors

You will follow and champion HI’s internal institutional funding procedures to identify and analyse funding opportunities from UK sources, contribute to project submissions, and carry out grant management duties. You will:

· Monitor, identify, analyse and communicate all relevant funding opportunities from donors in your portfolio (including development and humanitarian grant opportunities and commercial contracts). This will involve facilitating internal go/no go decision-making for new opportunities and advising, and supporting programme colleagues on positioning and consortium-building when relevant.

· Lead the review and analysis of the requirements in new funding agreements and contracts, advise internal stakeholders on compliance and ensure appropriate contract negotiation and due diligence processes are followed.

· Implement internal procedures for contract/grant management and support the submission of reporting and payment requests according to donor requirements.

Improve our track record for UK institutional funding

You will be responsible for increasing internal understanding of UK donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, supporting high quality strategic submissions and donor compliance. You will:

· Create internal communications, train and brief finance, programme and technical staff (including country programmes) on the donors in your portfolio, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to comply with donor rules, understand donor priorities and focus areas, and maximise the potential for funding.

· Support proposal development, advising on donor requirements, expectations and preferences.

· Build strong relationships and internal links with technical and programme teams and contribute to internal working groups on issues related to institutional funding.

Other duties

· Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues and the Federal Institutional Funding, and Operations teams.

· Actively contribute to the HI UK operational plan and team work plans, and internal staff meetings.

· Ensure high quality, accurate internal reporting and information management for your portfolio.

· Keep abreast of developments within the sector by liaising with counterparts in other NGOs, and relevant networks.

· Represent HI UK at external forums and meetings when relevant.

· Any other activities commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required by the Chief Executive or Head of Team.

The Eve Appeal, working together with the Department of Health and Social Care, is delivering a groundbreaking programme on gynaecological health to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in London and beyond.

We are entering the final year of the programme and pivotal to its success will be bringing new SMEs on board so that we can deliver our health information to their staff. Up until March 31st 2025 there is no charge for SMEs to join the programme.

What you will be doing:

• Building relationships with other charitable and social purpose led organisations, corporate and governmental customers from within the health and safety sector giving consideration of partnership opportunities

• Developing research methodologies and conducting analysis that provide insight into charitable opportunities in the UK and internationally that align with our charitable objects

• Establishing and embedding aligned and integrated social development processes that provide direction and guidance for undertaking charitable activities, including consideration of safeguarding procedures

• Contributing towards an organisation-wide communications strategy that showcases NEBOSH as a prominent health and safety education charity.

• Monitoring the social purpose programme budget including clearly reporting on both used and committed funds.

 About You:

Knowledge and Experience:

 Significant experience, with a track-record of effectiveness, in:

• Researching, Identifying and building new social development opportunities

• Project Management, including understanding of the Agile framework

• Demonstrating a commitment to positive social and environmental impact including development of  ESG and Sustainability Initiatives

• Business case and Tender application processes

• Budget management and accountability

• Reporting - formal report/paper writing at Board or equivalent leadership level

• Forging business relationships

The role will work in hybrid manner where you will work both from our office in Leicester and from home.

Up to £50,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Young people experiencing barriers such as challenging relationships, living in low income households, or growing up in areas with a lack of access to opportunities can be confronted with hurdles. Without the right support these can lead to high risks of unemployment and long term effects on their career and life chances.

About ThinkForward: What we do

We run three programmes that help young people to gain the independence, skills and confidence they need to fulfil their potential and have happy and successful futures. In an ever changing world we support them to prepare for their move to adulthood, the working world and the start of the rest of their lives.

Overview of the role

Our Development Manager will play a key role in supporting ThinkForward to achieve ambitious growth targets and deliver on our mission to support young people facing challenges to build a brighter, better future.

You will work flexibly across all income streams to identify and convert high-value funding opportunities from trusts and foundations, corporate partners and high-net-worth individuals, as well as supporting excellent stewardship for our existing funders. You will bring technical excellence in relation to the highest standard of compelling application and report writing, and you will develop strong relationships internally to facilitate a collaborative approach to income generation. Ideally, you will also bring expertise in at least one of ThinkForward’s identified income streams. The Development Manager will be comfortable working with healthy pressure within a supportive and collaborative team culture and will be able to maintain a high level of productivity, pace and resilience in what is a challenging funding environment.

Our client, a leading London university, is looking to recruit a full-time (35 hours per week) temporary Programme Officer to support them during this busy time. This post will be Monday-Friday, and the post will be eligible for hybrid working, normally 2 days per week onsite, although on occasion 3 days may be required for covering the enquiries desk. Flexibility will be required, and preferred days can be requested for being onsite, although is not guaranteed, as will be dependent on business needs. They are looking for someone to join them as soon as possible, and will be ongoing for now, so would anticipate 3 months +

In this post, duties will include the following:
 

• Respond to students’ and academics’ enquiries (face-to-face and via email) within agreed timeframes.
• Process assessment extension/deferral requests.
• Work with senior programme officers to support student assessment processes.
• Facilitate student module selection processes.
• Use systems and databases (e.g. student records systems and virtual learning environments)

To be considered for this post, you will have worked within a similar post, including the following criteria:
 

• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to work as part of a team and relate to a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft documents and correspondence.
• Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyse complex data.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy at all times.
• Understanding of good customer service, and ability deliver this to a high standard.
