The Brent Centre for Young People

About the Role 

BCYP is seeking a seasoned Communications and Marketing Officer who will design and implement a strategy to boost BCYP’s brand and support the efforts of clinicians. The candidate will also support the fundraising team through grassroots event management and the adoption of a small portfolio of donors. Some event and project management will be required, in particular supporting the delivery of seminars and training programmes, as well as community events.

The applicant will have excellent communication skills, be able to translate the stakeholders’ (Trustees/clinicians/donors/young people) needs and broadcast them to the community. They must have hands-on skills creating and designing digital, print, and social media and the confidence to put their signature on a strong communications and marketing strategy that will maximize external partnerships.

Contract Managers are responsible for the effective management of all contracts within their designated patch, including line managing the relevant front line staff. Leadership and competence development in direct reports is a key responsibility of the role.

The working pattern for this role is Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. This is a 6 month contract until 03/2026.

What you'll do:
- Drive business planning activities within your contract, ensuring relevant and challenging objective setting and ongoing performance tracking, developing turn around action plans as may be necessary
- Work with the Young People directorate, contributing to and delivering the vision and strategy of our pathway
- Maintaining excellent relationships with the local council, commissioning team, landlords, and housing team
- Using sound financial and accounting principles, manage contract budgets to deliver on corporate and local contract financial targets
- Successfully lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
- Work to continuously improve staff competence, ensure ownership of all staff issues and speedy and effective conflict resolution
- Responsible for reporting all staff changes to HR and Payroll departments, as appropriate e.g. starters, leavers, additional hours etc.
- Responsible for maintaining quarterly staff succession plans
- Deliver effective, professional and commercially focused briefings and supervision meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting & communications flow up/down is effective

The Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants (JCWI) is an independent charity established in 1967. About the role
As our Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Officer, you will play a key role in delivering inspiring campaigns and stewarding supporters who give in memory or through legacies.

Key Responsibilities

About you
You will bring proven experience in planning and delivering fundraising or marketing campaigns across multiple channels, with a strong understanding of legacy fundraising, individual giving, in memory giving, or a closely related area. Confident in copywriting and editing, you’ll be able to tailor messaging to different audiences and inspire supporters through engaging communications.

Organised and proactive, you will thrive when managing multiple projects and deadlines, balancing attention to detail with the bigger picture. You’ll also be confident in analysing data to extract insights, identify trends, and make informed recommendations to improve campaign performance.

You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and able to adapt your approach to ensure both excellent supporter experiences and the achievement of campaign KPIs. Experience with CRM systems (especially Microsoft Dynamics), international charities or humanitarian aid, managing print campaigns, or delivering stewardship events would be an advantage.

Personally, you will bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build strong relationships. As Digital Project Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

• Lead on the National Year of Reading website planning and execution, liaising with both internal teams and external agency

We're looking for an inspirational people person to join us as a Assistant Shop Manager in our brand-new South London Boutique Shelter Shop in Greenwich opening September 2025. This is an new exciting opportunityto join Shelter opening their newest shop and we'd like you to join us to help raise vital funds for homeless and badly housed people.

You will work closely with the Shop Manager to ensure the shop looks welcoming, visually appealing and the team of volunteers are motivated and keen to engage with customers and maximise sales.

About the role

You will assist the Shop Manager in the recruitment, support and development of a strong community focused shop team and empower them to maximise Shelter's income. Representing Shelter in your local community, ensuring that you and your team share your knowledge of Shelter's cause with customers, volunteers, donors and potential Shelter clients will also be important aspects of the role. You will always ensure a safe, clean, bright and happy environment for your team to work in and for your customers to shop in, in turn attracting potential donors and volunteers.

About you

You are a naturally energetic person with an enthusiasm for managing and empowering people. You know how to recruit and develop a team of volunteers, and your extraordinary motivational skills will enable you to inspire your team to increase sales and control costs. Above all, you are ready to take on a new challenge and have a keen interest in Shelter's cause. Please note: fashion retail experience is preferred for this role.

This role sits within our Social Impact Group and you will work closely with Senior Major Gifts Manager, AD of Philanthropy (Major Gifts), Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships, Major Appeal Programme Director, Executive Director Social Impact and senior leaders at all levels to identify and access new and existing networks of wealth, opportunity and influence.

Our step-change in impact with children will be achieved by a step-change in our philanthropy & partnerships: as a Major Gifts (Trusts) Manager, you'll play a crucial role in this transformation through development and personal leadership of a portfolio of trusts and foundations that contribute major grants and donations (over 5 figures+) and support

In order to be successful in this role, you must have: 

-Relevant knowledge and experience gained in a role applying for significant funding with demonstrable track record of securing grants/donations valued at 5-figures+

-Strong knowledge and successful track record delivering significant income through successful funding applications with trusts and foundations

-Expert knowledge of developing compelling funding applications with experience of developing powerful and impactful cases for support and giving proposals

-Knowledge of legal, regulatory and ethical environment of trust fundraising

Barnardo's are seeking an experienced and passionate Challenge Events fundraiser to take up a fixed term contract as our Senior Challenge and Virtual Events Manager.  This is a full time position but we would consider part time candidates too.

You will lead the development and implementation of Barnardo's established Challenge Events programme, with a focus on growing our income and deepening our relationships with our supporters to build lifetime connections.

• Leading the development and delivery of Barnardo's Challenge Events programme to deliver and grow agreed income targets.

• Collaborating across the Fundraising and Marketing team and across departments to integrate Challenge Events into our communications and supporter journeys.

• Managing relationships with internal teams, external agencies and event partners to deliver high-quality events, acquisition campaigns and supporter experiences.  

• Monitoring trends in the Challenge Events landscape and using data and insights to inform growth plans and innovation.  

• Champion Challenge Events across the charity, building awareness and engagement internally.  

We're looking for someone with: 

• Proven events experience working across a portfolio of third party and bespoke Challenge Events.  

• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with a track record of delivering and exceeding targets, and utilising KPIs to measure and improve effectiveness. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships to achieve mutual goals. 

• Experience managing budgets and working with external agencies and suppliers. 

• A collaborative and proactive approach to leadership and team development.

The Candidate
Track record of working on successful digital marketing, campaigns and communications ideally in a charity setting.

Experience of delivering digital marketing strategy and campaign management for lead generation, acquisition and retention that is audience-centric, rooted in insight and target driven.

Experience of working across a range of digital channels including paid and organic social media, Google Ads , web and email.

Hands-on experience of working with digital production, service providers and platforms to identify and deliver best-in-class digital solutions.
