The Role:

As a Database Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Data & Appeals Manager by ensuring our supporter and contact database (Raiser's Edge) is effectively maintained and up to date. You will assist the wider Development team with reports and queries, help manage fundraising data and ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor information.

Main responsibilities:

Assist in the daily management of the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring data accuracy through regular audits.

Provide training and advice to colleagues on database access and usage, ensuring compliance with best practices.

Reconcile and process donations from various sources, including BACS, credit cards, and online platforms.

Run direct debit and gift aid claims, ensuring valid documentation is maintained.

Provide key data and segmentation for fundraising appeals and emails, working closely with the communications team.

Essential requirements:

• Experience in CRM systems (preferably Raiser's Edge) and proficiency in MS Excel.
• Demonstrable experience supporting charities and fundraising teams in a data role
• Confident working with large datasets
• Solid understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality.
• Excellent communicator, a team player, and have a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise daily tasks and manage deadlines.

About the Position

Our Policy and Public Affairs Officer connects with and influences politicians and senior decision makers to make society better for people who have mental health challenges, have mental illness and their families. They shall manage projects that shall lead to improvements in support for those with poor mental health.

Key Responsibilities

In this critical role you will work closely with the Director of Public Affairs and Communications to develop and implement a policy and influencing strategy to ensure that the voices of people we support, and their families are heard in all the places they need to be. You will manage projects related to mental health and provide reports.

You will build powerful relationships with politicians, civil servants and partners and feel comfortable representing the organisation at a range of different stakeholder events. You will love policy and public affairs, enjoy mastering details and offering sound advice. General Duties:

• To ensure that Change Mental Health have a robust policy and public affairs process in order, to respond to events and consultations, set up meetings with influencers, write briefings for those meetings and record our interactions on the Lobbying Register.
• Develop and implement a policy and public affairs strategy which means Change Mental Health engage with external stakeholders, have key messages disseminated and ensure that the voices of our members and the people we support are heard at all levels. 
• Ensure that Change Mental Health’s Public Affairs and Stakeholder policies are kept relevant for our staff and promoted throughout the organisation.
• Collaborate on key communications documents and channels, including our newsletter, website and support the high-quality use of our social media channels.
• Manage projects that improve the outcomes of those with poor mental health and wellbeing. When agreed, engage with parliamentarians and stakeholders, representing Change Mental Health and advocating for our policy agenda 
• Take ownership of policy developments in fields relevant to Change Mental Health’s work and  ensure you are up to date and well informed of recent developments. 
• Write briefings for the Director of Public Affairs and Communications, the CEO, and Board as needed.
• Write briefings for debates in Parliament and communicate with members of Parliaments.
• Write reports for projects relating to mental health and wellbeing.
• Organise and undertake the administration of events that support our policy platform whether that be events at party conferences, cross party groups, parliamentary receptions or other activity that support the charity.
• Network and build relationships with different stakeholders across the private, third and state sectors.
• Support the work of the National Rural Mental Health Forum, organising meetings and reporting on impact.
• Act in accordance with Data Protection legislation.  Ensure all records, personal, staff and client data are managed in line with Data Management and Information Governance policies
• Comply with legal and regulatory requirements such as provisions set out in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for Advocates to join our team covering Fife and the surrounding area. You will be involved in one-to-one advocacy along with group work across the area; this could be in a clients’ home, hospital, care homes or other suitable community venues and be home based for administrative tasks.  Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential. 

This is a full time role for 35 hours per week, applicants who do not hold the Level 2 Award in Independent Advocacy will start on £22,500 per annum.

JOB PURPOSE

To inspire people with mental health conditions to progress, and to gain and sustain paid employment.  Some Employment Specialists will support clients with common (mild to moderate) mental health conditions (e.g. anxiety, depression), whilst others will support clients with more severe and enduring mental illness (e.g. schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders).

Depending on what clients are right for you to work with, you will either work across the local NHS primary or secondary care network alongside NHS clinicians to secure client referrals.

To work with clients with more serious mental illness, you will need to be comfortable supporting people who have experienced / are experiencing serious mental health challenges, as well as possibly other serious difficulties in their lives.  Although you will receive full training and support, it’s important you are aware of the potential impact this may have on your own mental wellbeing.

All Employment Specialists will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Engage a caseload of clients with mental health problems and establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them into employment in line with contract targets and IPS fidelity.

2. Assess clients’ employment support needs; implementing and adjusting employment plans as necessary to support each client’s desired outcomes along IPS requirements.

3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to meet clients’ needs including career guidance, job searching, CV preparation, interview skills, individual coping techniques or work coaching.

4. Build a constant flow of referrals to ensure a dynamic caseload.

5. Conduct weekly employer engagement activity in line with IPS Fidelity.

6. Understand the complex issues a client may face, recognise holistic support needs and work in conjunction with clinical staff.

7. Facilitate access to expert financial advice on welfare benefits and ‘access to work’ resources.

8. Provide support and reasonable adjustments if required, to employed clients to support them to stay and progress in work.

9. As requested, attend clinical team meetings to provide advice and information on employment and IPS.

10. Collaborate with community partners to raise awareness of employment and mental health issues and promote access to the service.

11. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring the IT database is up to date and paperwork compliant.

12. Update and maintain NHS database (IAPTus).

13. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organization’s needs.

14. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.

Health Engagement Worker

Grade & Salary: SP 26 £22,647 (£28,309 pro rata )

Functional Responsibility: The post holder will work with existing partners in targeted support of successfully engaging with those on the SMI register in accessing and attending physical health checks 

Job Purpose:

To offer outreach and engagement, to support people with SMI to access their annual comprehensive physical health check. 

Based at: Outreach based role based in the community, GP practices, clinics in the borough of Queens Park, Paddington and North Kensington, with office base at GWS or Monck St.

Main duties and Responsibilities

Operational

Accountable for leading all activities within Community Programmes portfolio including, but is not limited to: 

• Offer outreach and engagement, to support people with SMI to access their annual comprehensive physical health check.
• Conduct an outreach program to reach people with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) who are not currently accessing annual, comprehensive, physical health checks and 
• Raise awareness about eligibility for people living with SMI (priority group 6) 
• Provide support for people with SMI to access physical health checks and discussing their concerns
• Provide a tailored one-to-one engagement service for these identified patients to overcome barriers to them accessing, and, getting value from their SMI health checks.
• (BMI, BP & Pulse Check, Blood Lipids, Blood Glucose Tests, Alcohol Consumption, Smoking Status)
• Signpost – including smoking cessation is an indicator 
• Working to engage and build relationships to better understand individual barriers and/or personal reasons that makes it difficult to take up the offer of one of more health check/s 
• Agree a plan with the person to support their physical checks
• Building solid relationships with a wide range of statutory and voluntary agencies in North K&C in order that they can offer additional support and link the individuals in to other appropriate services, to resolve any non-health issues which may be acting as obstacles to accessing SMI health checks 
• Working flexibly with primary and community nursing professionals inc. CNWL Physical Health Nurse (s), and Community Mental Health Hubs to identify the most appropriate route to access health-checks
• Giving people practical support (such as help with travel fares, reminders and accompaniment to appointments) 
• Help prepare people for appointments and, where appropriate, with understanding the content of the appointment 
• Explaining the roles of different professionals in the health service and enabling co-ordination of appointments 
• Support people to secure access to other services 
• Building the skills, confidence and knowledge that will enable patients to access health services independently and appropriately
• The Provider will support the recording of health checks on relevant systems. Subject to access to system 1
• Undertake training in the use of the relevant clinical record system in primary care 
• Carry out an audit of patients who have missed one or more of the physical health-checks, cross referencing between practice and secondary mental health care records (where such access arrangements are in place) · Input completed health-checks into the relevant database · Ensure that data is managed in compliance with General Data Protection Regulations
• Ensure completion of patient experience questionnaires and collation of them to facilitate reporting against KPI’s for service. 
• Dispel misinformation (by, for example, distributing flyers, brochures, or other informational or educational documents)
• Educate people about the importance and availability of healthcare services, such as cancer screenings 
• Help individuals to identify barriers / reasonable adjustments that the practice / vaccinating team can make to enable the individual to access their health check / Covid-19 vaccine
• Where appropriate, engage supporters (e.g. family, carers, providers) to offer support in accessing the health check
• If required, liaise with the practice, vaccination team or individual to support access to the health check
• Ensure an inclusive approach for those who are most vulnerable, including BAME populations, older people, pregnant women and those with missed reviews
• Gain insight into the reasons for vaccine hesitancy and the barriers to access the vaccine, to shape wider CCG communications
• Work with existing service users / group attendees where they meet the category of SMI and with people with SMI who are referred by the funder / other identified health stakeholders
• Assist in the collection of information and data in order to monitor and evaluate the service

Policy and Service Development:

• Develop and support service innovation and effective service model
• Ensure awareness of relevant policy and procedures and that communication is developed and deployed appropriately.
• Maintain a good knowledge of emerging policies from government departments, the organisation in defining the strategy. To support delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan.

About the Project

Hertfordshire Mind Network is proud to provide early intervention support to children and young people experiencing poor mental health across Hertfordshire. We provide a combination of support through psychoeducational workshops, open access, 1:1 and group support.

We are expanding our provision, to offer drop in, open access community support to 10–18-year-olds across the county who need someone to talk to about their mental health in that moment. This space will offer timely support, in a person-centred, trauma informed way.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Herts Haven Café service are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues, including crisis presentations, in Hertfordshire.
• To provide drop in, no referral required, timely support to 10-18 year olds.
• To support children and young people in Hertfordshire to access community based mental health help.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided across the CYP MHS system.

About the Role:

The key purpose of this post is to be an integral member of staff delivering the Herts Haven Café service, facilitating drop-in mental health support for children and young people aged 10-18. As a practitioner you will meet the varying needs of the individual, as they present, meaning no day may look the same.

A person-centred approach will be maintained, and this role is pivotal to ensuring CYP have a warm and welcoming space to turn to. You will be working as a team to facilitate support, deliver brief mental health interventions, signposting, and ensure timely information, guidance and referrals are provided for ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

• To play an integral role in instilling HMN’s values throughout the Herts Haven Cafe Service.
• To play a key part in the development and delivery of quality CYP mental health support services.
• To provide consistent and clear communication to the team, working proactively and with initiative.
• To be part of a cooperative and collaborative team that is flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
• To deliver 1:1 and group interventions, depending on need, flexibly and creatively.
• To ensure that every individual accessing the service receives, safe and trusted support.
• To create and review risk assessments, wellness plans, crisis support plans, safety plans, as well as signposting resources, as required.
• To proactively recognise indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies e.g., C-CATT, Emergency Duty Teams, CYP MHS, etc.
• To work alongside Crisis Teams in line with joint protocols, where required, to support those individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
• To signpost and refer effectively into other Herts Mind Network services, as well as alternative VCFSE and statutory organisations.
• To act as a positive role model showing professional and caring attitudes and behaviours towards other team members, children and young people, families/carers and professionals.

Our Peer Support Service started 10 years ago, with 2 Wellbeing Centres offering this new service. Since then, we have seen our service grow and develop in ways we could not have imagined. This service is the key service most requested by people and we now offer Peer Support across all of our Wellbeing Centres across Hertfordshire.

Working in co-production with clients, staff, volunteers and stakeholders, we were able to create our own Peer Support Charter Values (this can be found on our website). About the Role

Working with the team to offer 1-1 peer support to anyone accessing HMN. The Peer Support service provide tailored support for individuals to support their needs. This includes using different tools and techniques to help an individual improve areas of their life they may be struggling with. Having a lived experience of mental health issues or supporting someone who has is a key element to what makes this service so unique.

The Peer Support approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity and compassion. Peer Support is based on the recognition that there is no better person to support the path towards recovery, than someone who has walked a similar path as that person.

To meet client need, and work to this personalised approach, we do support people out in the community, within their home, as well as in one of our Wellbeing Centres. Being able to drive and having access to your own vehicle (or equivalent) is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will need a personal understanding of mental ill health, either from your own lived experience or by caring for someone with a mental health condition and have awareness of issues in mental health service provision.

Peer Support Workers will also provide support within our Peer Support Groups, Peer Support Learning Sets and Peer Support Academy when needed.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. Right now, we’re looking for someone like you to join our NGAGE Young People’s Service in Northampton. NGAGE is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 and we provide information, education, advice and support to young people in relation to drug and alcohol use.

Your challenge? To provide advice, assessments, brief and structured interventions and group programmes. As a Practitioner, you will be the initial contact for referrals into the service, conducting assessments via telephone, face to face and offering relevant and appropriate advice, harm minimisation, family interventions risk assessment and management, actioning onward referrals to partner agencies. You will also be required to manage a caseload.

An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. About the role

Every piece of data we collect holds a story, a piece of someone’s journey towards better mental health.

This is a pivotal role within the CRM and Insights team, supporting the project team in successfully migrating service user data from the existing Dynamics system to In-Form CRM. You will join us at an exciting time, as we streamline operational systems and data processes, enabling the service teams to serve our communities more efficiently and effectively.

You will be well versed in SQL and database analysis techniques, helping the project team to understand the relationships between the Dynamics entities and how the data can be best transposed into the Salesforce-based CRM, In-Form CRM.

By understanding the Solent Mind's data retention rules, you will assist in inspecting and cleansing the data to ensure that only relevant, accurate, and complete data is migrated to In-Form CRM.

As new data systems are integrated, this role will collaborate with owners of the Finance, HR and Donor Management systems to support the design of viable solutions to extract, transpose, and load data between the different systems. This role is initially offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About you

You will be highly proficient in manipulating data using Excel and SQL, with proven experience in analysing databases to extract, transform, and load data. You’ll have a strong knowledge of data auditing techniques and processes, along with a good understanding of data management principles and compliance. You’ll be able to communicate technical concepts simply to non-technical colleagues and be comfortable working both autonomously and in a team environment.

Purpose of the Job 
 

This role is within our crisis alternative emergency department (ED) service, which is an out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who present at A&E, feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service will work collaboratively with hospital Psychiatric Liaison Team (LPS) to ensure those in crisis are supported by the appropriate team. The service will operate 365 days a year from 5pm-1am across three ED’s in West London. 

Staff within the service will triage, assess and provide face-to-face support to anyone who is experiencing mental health crisis. This will be person-centred and will be in various forms of de-escalation support; practical, emotional support, grounding techniques, safety planning, care/action planning etc. Staff within the service will work alongside LPS and escalate if clinical intervention is required. Staff will also actively participate in MDT discussions for frequent attenders and take a key role in initiating and promoting alternative crisis support in the aim of preventing A&E use. Staff in our Safe Space ED service are required to have experience in a mental health clinical setting (such as inpatient, A&E, or other clinical setting) however, they do not need to hold a clinical qualification for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a person centred and recovery orientated approach in all aspects of the roles and responsibilities.
• Working collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and developing flexible and realistic crisis support packages/person centred plans
• Listening to clients and encouraging positive steps towards self-management of crisis and recovery
• Providing advice, information, practical and emotional support to clients
• Proactively recognising the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action; ability to escalate to LPS
