Job Title: IT and Data Support Officer

Location: Based within Islington (Please note, there is no step free access). You will also work flexibly across multiple services including Elephant and Castle, Havering and central office, as well as some home working might be possible

Salary: £28,560

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. Flexibility may be required as per requirements of the service/department

About the role

We are looking for an IT and Data Officer to join our central team, working in collaboration with our services which are our Independent Approved Premises (IAP). You will maintain and support our data systems and IT infrastructure across our services, responsible for managing CRM systems and supporting with first line IT queries which could include ticketing requests, troubleshooting, technical issues, and liaising with internal and external partners to ensure consistent and timely data reporting.

You will work across multiple projects to ensure performance metrics are accurately tracked and communicated, proactively identifying and addressing any data or system related issues. You will support with continuous improvement for the service and wider organisation.

About you

We're looking for someone who is passionate about IT and data, able to utilise this within a practical working environment. You will be confident in using various tools and software with transferrable skills. We're looking for someone who understands SIG and what we do as an organisation, with a judgement free mindset, and comfortable working within any of our services, able to build good professional relationships with our staff internally, our residents, and external partners. We look for:

• Skills in data input, extraction, and reporting
• Skills in online platforms and systems, ideally Power BI, Trello, Inform, and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity in externally used systems by Ministry of Justice is highly desirable
• Ability to translate and present technical knowledge and information to non-technical teams
• Ability to deliver training to staff at all levels in reference to use of systems and develop training videos/materials
• Working knowledge of business intelligence/reporting and database
• Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver a rounded customer service experience both written and orally, and build effective relationships with others at all levels

About the role

The Trusts and Foundations Advisor works strategically within the Partnerships and Business Development team to maximise impact and income by building high value partnerships and securing five, six and seven figure grants.

You will be responsible for building new relationships with prospect donors as well as providing exceptional stewardship of existing donors, and will collaborate closely with other teams in the wider division to create excellent proposals. 

You will be expected to develop a strong pipeline of highly engaged Trusts and Foundation Funders committing to multi-year pledges to maximise income and impact, and build relationships based on trust and openness using the support of senior staff and Multi-Country Cluster based colleagues.

You will work collaboratively within the team and beyond, sharing expertise and ideas to create strong cultivation plans and proposals, and you will be expected to think critically about existing processes, aiming to create, adapt and deliver innovative ideas, initiatives and networks to secure impactful and meaningful support for Christian Aid’s programmes.

You will develop relationships with potential donors and partners and represent Christian Aid at appropriate networking events such as conferences and external meetings.

About you

We are looking for a confident fundraiser with significant experience of securing five and six figure gifts from Trusts and Foundations. You will demonstrate a clear understanding understanding of the Trusts and Foundations landscape and market trends, and will be able to employ a wide range of Trusts and Foundations fundraising approaches and strategies.

As a fundraiser, you will have significant experience of responding to the requirements and demands of funders, and demonstrable experience of producing in-depth, motivating and inspiring proposals and funding reports.

You will be able to demonstrate highly developed negotiation and influencing skills, and demonstrable experience of successful networking with internal and external senior stakeholders. 

You will be able to demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills across your work.

The Third Age Trust currently provides members with access to two systems to aid them in the running of their u3a.

Beacon is an online membership and activity management system for u3as. It provides a simple interface for managing members, groups and finances. Beacon currently provides over 650 individual u3as with over 300,000 members with a secure, efficient and effective means of managing their day-to-day business functions. 

SiteWorks offers a website presence solution for u3as, Networks and Regions. A volunteer-led team provide WordPress websites on a managed platform. SiteWorks provides over 700 u3as with a website presence.

A central aspect of this role will be working closely with volunteers; the service manager will play a key role in overseeing and supporting the ongoing operation of both these systems. Historically theses services have largely been managed by volunteer teams, whose commitment and expertise have been vital to the success of both systems. Going forward the service manager will provide oversight and accountability for these critical systems, ensuring they remain reliable, secure and fit for purpose.

About the Role

As a Recruitment Manager, you’ll drive our process for finding and selecting the founders of the new organizations we launch. This is a highly impactful role, for two key reasons:

1. The number of organizations we launch is currently limited by the number of exceptional founders we can find. Your ability to find and select an additional outstanding founder will likely result in an additional incredible organisation launching. For every Lucia Coulter & Jack Rafferty we find, we can launch another organisation like LEEP, preventing more than 44 million children suffering lead poisoning.

2. The biggest predictor of charity success we have is the strength of the co-founding team. If you can refine our recruitment process to reliably attract and select higher-potential founders, the organizations we launch will help more humans and animals at scale.

Our Recruitment team operates across two distinct, though overlapping, areas of work:

• Outreach - attracting high-potential entrepreneurs to apply

• Vetting - selecting the very best founders out of the applicant pool

We operate as a tight-knit team of four who work flexibly across the two domains. We anticipate a new hire doing both Outreach and Vetting work, with some possibility to specialise more in one direction or the other based on experience and preference. 

At AIM, we prize the ability of staff to work with speed, autonomy, and flexibility. We don’t expect you to have prior experience in recruitment. We do expect you to be a fast learner and excited about taking on whatever work is most essential on a given day.

• Designing and implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and in-person channels (such as our website, newsletter, LinkedIn, job boards, and conferences)

• Identifying and persuading top talent to apply for our programs through one-to-one engagement, such as through LinkedIn, email, and online calls 

• Soliciting and collating referrals for potential top applicants to our programs, especially from members of our community and affiliated organisations

• Writing blog posts, newsletters, articles, and other copy in a clear, accurate, and convincing tone

• Attending conferences and other professional events to represent AIM, conducting talks, workshops, and 1-on-1 meetings

Executing our Candidate Selection Process [40%]

• Evaluating hundreds of application forms and test tasks to figure out which are the most promising, using a wide range of formal and informal indicators, heuristics, and other information

• Conducting and grading candidate interviews to help identify and select the most promising candidates to join our programs

• Project management for each application round to ensure each candidate receives accurate and timely information on decisions, next steps, and other details of the application process

• Automating aspects of the process to increase scalability and reduce staff time

Evaluation and Systems Improvement [20%]

• Collating and refining data on the cost-effectiveness of different communication methods for finding high-quality applicants to our programs

• Analyzing historical data to pull out findings to improve our selection rubrics for future rounds

• Testing potential new communication avenues, such as digital advertising or pitching articles to major publications

The Counter-Trafficking Department operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The Casework Coordinator works alongside the Senior Counter-Trafficking Manager and the rest of the Counter-Trafficking team, as well as other human rights professionals from a wide range of fields and disciplines in order to support survivors to work towards sustaining long-term recovery, social inclusion and re-building their lives. The Counter-Trafficking Programme is designed to assist and safeguard HBF’s clients, with the primary purpose of preventing re-trafficking/re-exploitation and further forms of crime and harm through expert assessments, support and coordination and joint working with external agencies. The role of the Coordinator is to ensure that clients who are victims of trafficking have detailed counter-trafficking assessments, regular follow-up (as per their individual needs and risks) and appropriate safeguarding. The coordinator will provide and assist with evidential documentation as needed and make sure that clients are accompanied and/or sufficiently supported throughout the course of immigration, NRM, asylum and/or criminal justice procedures until they obtain official recognition and protection from the UK authorities and all other relevant professionals and bodies.

Buildings Council is a statutory body responsible for advising Chancellors, dioceses and parishes on faculty applications.

The Church Buildings Officer will be responsible for the production of reports summarising the history and significance of church buildings and assessing the impact of proposed changes. You will also provide general guidance and advice at diocesan and local level.

As a team player the role holder will be a responsible case-worker, able to provide expert advice on proposals, having assessed the significance and needs of church buildings, balancing them with the impact on the historic church. The postholder will prepare reports for church buildings considering closure, researching and assessing their significance and potential sustainability.

This role may also require updating and developing guidance for parishes and dioceses.

• A salary of £48,577 pro-rata per, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

Operations Assistant (Full Time – Office Based)  

Job Purpose:
The Operations Assistant provides support to the HR and Operations Manager by taking day to day responsibility, under guidance, for various facilities, safety and administrative processes, including HR administration, as well as responsiblity for locking/unlocking of meeting rooms, routine health and safety tasks and other matters that contribute to making the office a pleasant and functional environment in which to work.

We are now looking for an Income Generation Manager to join our team, on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the importance of sustainable funding and wants to use their skills to make a real difference. In this role, you will provide targeted support to community organisations and community-led libraries across Birmingham, helping them to develop their fundraising skills and build long-term financial resilience.

You will deliver bespoke support, workshops, and resources designed to improve income generation across the sector. Working closely with organisations, you will help identify and secure suitable funding opportunities through bid writing, applications to trusts and foundations, and developing other income streams such as events, sponsorship and corporate partnerships. You will also take a hands-on approach to achieving agreed income targets — around £200,000 in the first year, rising to £500,000 within 18 months.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work with Birmingham City Council and other strategic partners to ensure our support aligns with city-wide priorities, while also building strong relationships with funders and networks to open up new opportunities for community groups. Alongside this, you will monitor outcomes and report on the impact of your work, maintaining accurate records and producing reports that highlight progress and learning across the programme.

To succeed in this role, you will need to bring proven experience in fundraising or income generation, ideally within the voluntary and community sector. An exciting opportunity has arisen across our dynamic Income Generation and Digital Teams at Terrence Higgins Trust.

We are looking for an individual with extensive experience of producing innovative and insight-led campaigns from conception to delivery and a passion for line managing a team whilst developing people.

The Individual Giving and Digital Manager will lead the implementation and development of our Individual Giving programme. You will be responsible for managing a team with ambitious targets and an exciting portfolio of campaigns to drive donor acquisition and retention, with a particular focus on digital campaigns. 

You will work in a cross-team manner, collaborating with colleagues to deliver activities that delight and inspire our supporters, encouraging long term partnership.  You will form strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

This is a fixed term role for four months.
