We are looking for a non-judgmental, compassionate individual who would fit into our passionate team.

Purpose of the Role

Manage and support a caseload of volunteers to empower vulnerable families in giving their children the best start in life, occasionally providing direct support.  Contribute to volunteer recruitment, training, development, and the effective day-to-day operation of the organisation

Key Responsibilities. As a HSH Co-ordinator you will:

• Carry out initial home-visits and support families to set and monitor goals
• Match volunteers with families according to need and capacity
• Assess the suitability and complexity of referrals, liaise with referrers for additional information, and support onward referrals
• Supervise an appropriate caseload of volunteers and enable them to support families
• Monitor safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Operations Manager/Director as needed
• Contribute to the delivery of the Volunteer Preparation Courses
• Contribute to recruiting, selecting and preparing suitable volunteers
• Support the evaluation of the impact of HSH’s volunteering programme and family support
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key health partners, including those from Parent Infant Mental Health Teams, Midwifery, IAPT, Perinatal Teams, Health Visiting and other groups

The Outward Bound Trust's mission is to inspire young people to believe in themselves and achieve more than they ever thought possible. For over 80 years, its outdoor learning and adventure programmes have helped hundreds of thousands of young people develop confidence, resilience, and the skills they need to thrive in life and work.

Each year, around 25,000 young people take part in Outward Bound programmes across the UK, delivered through partnerships with schools, youth groups, and employers. Around 80% of school participants receive charitable bursary funding, ensuring that financial barriers never prevent young people from accessing these life-changing experiences. Bursaries are central to OBT’s purpose, underpinning its commitment to equity of access, diversity, and the belief that every young person, regardless of background, should have the chance to experience adventure, challenge, and growth.

The Outward Bound Trust is now delivering its 2030 Strategy, which sets out an ambitious plan to grow reach, strengthen partnerships, and invest in its six heritage outdoor centres. 

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll directly manage four experienced team heads and oversee a high-performing team of 18 who generate bursary, unrestricted, and capital income. The role sits on the Senior Management Team, working closely with colleagues across the charity to connect fundraising with programme delivery, marketing, and business development, ensuring shared priorities and greater collective impact. You’ll also play a key role in the Fundraising and Marcomms Steering Group, ensuring effective working between fundraising and external engagement.

This is a broad, strategic role combining leadership, direction, and hands-on relationship management at one of the UK’s most respected youth charities. You’ll work alongside a supportive CEO and senior leadership team, lead an experienced and capable department, and shape a fundraising strategy that will help thousands of young people access the power of outdoor learning and adventure.

As Director of Fundraising, you will:

• Lead and support a multi-disciplinary fundraising function spanning major donors, corporate partnerships, legacies, trusts and foundations, and events
• Deliver growth across bursary, unrestricted, and capital income, ensuring fundraising priorities align with organisational strategy and long-term sustainability
• Develop and implement capital fundraising plans, supporting the upgrade of existing outdoor centres and laying the groundwork for a potential new site acquisition
• Review and refine OBT’s approach to new business and innovation, identifying where to invest, consolidate, or reshape activity to maximise return
• Build and steward high-value relationships, personally managing key donors, corporate partners, and foundations capable of transformational giving
• Ensure fundraising, business development, and marketing operate in partnership to maximise opportunities for income growth and profile building
• Contribute to organisational leadership as a member of the Senior Management Team, supporting financial planning, strategic decision-making, and cross-directorate collaboration
• Represent OBT externally with senior supporters, funders, and government stakeholders, acting as a visible ambassador for outdoor learning and youth development

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Substantial senior-level fundraising experience with demonstrable success in leading multistream teams
• Proven ability to secure and steward six- and seven-figure partnerships and relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporates, and foundations
• Strategic and analytical mindset, confident in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating performance
• Experience of capital fundraising or large-scale campaigns advantageous

South East London Community Energy (Selce) is an award-winning energy member-led cooperative. We believe in creating a fair and just energy transition by building distributed and renewable energy systems, reducing local energy demand, and leaving no one behind in the process. We recognise that effective engagement is a key component in delivering a sustainable future and enabling domestic retrofit at scale.

As Community Engagement Officer, you will work to support various programmes that are, in the main focused on enabling decarbonisation of the UK housing stock, enabling warm, healthy homes. These programmes are as follows

· A programme of workshops and outreach events focusing on two neighbourhoods in Southwark and on the whole of the borough of Greenwich. The purpose of the outreach is to raise awareness about the benefits of retrofitting their homes and provide support to households who want to install measures. Your role will be to design and deliver a programme of outreach, engagement and awareness raising about the benefits of retrofit and to support residents on their retrofit journey

· Lewisham Council is planning a major retrofit programme for the council housing in Lewisham. Selce is supporting the local authority. Our role is to enable residents to understand the benefits of retrofit and to support any vulnerable residents to accommodate work in their homes. Your role will be to plan and deliver an engagement programme that engages residents, TRA's, local community groups, local champions to communicate the benefits of retrofit

· In 2026 we expect to be launching a new Community Share Offer and to raise Community Share capital to finance solar PV/ LED Retrofit in local community sites. Your role will be to contribute to a broader effort to raise awareness about the share offer in Southeast London

Ideally you will be locally based in South East London, with a strong links to the community and an interest in and some experience around climate issues and community retrofit. Your role will be to engage residents through in-person or online events. You will use a range of engagement techniques including workshops, community events, eco home tours and ‘retrofit parties’, supporting ‘resident champions’ to promote retrofit and occasionally doorknocking. You will support the wider team’s online communications – through owned channels, social and print media.

You will also work to build peer support networks, enabling residents who have retrofitted their homes to share their learning. Your role is to understand the needs of householders in relation to warmth, wellbeing, energy costs and climate and work to understand how our projects can best respond to those needs.

There is a strong possibility that this role could be extended beyond the initial 8 month fixed term period

Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Research Manager to help us manage and be responsible for our research grants programme. This includes maintenance of our existing grant portfolio as well as management of our national funding calls and the award of new grants. The role requires the development of close working relationships with research stakeholders including our staff, the members of our Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP), our grant-holders and funding partners.

We currently have 38 active research grants, and award approximately £1.5 million of new grants each year. 

The Research Manager runs the grants programme with support from the CEO. In addition, you will work closely with the Communications Manager on research communications. 

You will be a self-starter, able to self-motivate and thrive on working with a range of individuals and organisations. You will be a skilled communicator, working with a variety of stakeholders, including our SAP, our Fundraising and Communications team and our grant holders. 

A successful Research Manager at Brain Research UK will have a full grasp of all elements of grant management. You will have a close working relationship with the fundraising and communications team to provide, in lay terms, explanations of projects to our donors. You will help drive excellence in our grant assessment and management processes, to ensure the best research is funded and appropriately managed.

The Head of Governance and Chief Executive’s Office is responsible for effective governance across The Place, compliance with regulatory frameworks and providing effective professional administrative support to the Chief Executive. Specifically, this post holder will:

• Ensure effective governance across The Place and its Board of Governors.
• Provide secretarial services to the Board of Governors.
• Provide effective and professional administrative support to the Chief Executive and wider leadership team.

The Place is led by Clare Connor, Chief Executive and Accountable Officer—she has held this role since August 2017. Clare provides visionary leadership across all dimensions of the organisation: academic, artistic, operational, financial and strategic. Under her stewardship, The Place moved through its ambitious 50th-anniversary year and launched a transformative ten-year plan to further “a world with more dance”. During this period, turnover increased by approximately one-third, and London Contemporary Dance School became an independent Higher Education Provider recognised by the Office for Students as a World-leading specialist provider.

The Board of Governors is led by Alan Bishop, who joined as Chair in August 2019. Under Alan’s leadership and guidance, The Place has demonstrated dynamism and growth in dance development through our world-leading status despite an increasingly challenging external context.

Alan has been a passionate advocate for our artistic and educational ambition, championing a culture of thoughtful risk-taking underpinned by strong risk management. He has deeply understood and valued the innovative spirit that has defined The Place since its founding and his leadership has been instrumental in carrying that legacy forward- guiding us from our previous five-year strategic plan to our current vision, with boldness and creativity at its core. The Place expects to welcome a new chair in 2026.

The Governors help us shape our overall strategy and support The Place to fulfil its artistic and educational objectives within a sustainable business model. The Governors work closely with the Chief Executive and senior leadership team, and play a vital role as advocates and ambassadors on behalf of The Place.

As The Place is a company limited by guarantee (company no. 883094) and a registered charity (charity no. 250216), Governors are both charity trustees and company directors.

There are two key departments; Education (comprising Research and London Contemporary Dance School and the Centre for Advanced Training), and Public Programmes (comprising Theatre and Artist Development, Producing and Touring, Creative Learning and Classes and Courses). These departments are supported by Central Services Teams including Communications, Development, Finance and Human Resources.

Key stakeholders and partners include Arts Council England, Office for Students, the Department for Education, Research England alongside the Charity Commission. We also have a partnership with the University of the Arts London (UAL) in support of degree validation and PhD supervision.

SALARY

The salary for this position is £40,000-£45,000 (depending on experience).

Salaries are reviewed in August each year when any cost-of-living increases are made. No salary changes are made until after successful completion of a probationary period.

CONTRACT TERMS

This is an open-ended, permanent contract. This is a full-time position (equivalent to 40 hours per week). These hours are inclusive of a one-hour paid lunch break each day. Your hours of work will be agreed with the line manager. A minimum of 50% of hours must be office-based, with the opportunity for some remote working in agreement with the line manager.

Whilst in the six-month probationary period the notice period will be two weeks. Once this period is successfully completed the post holder will be confirmed in the post and the notice period will be twelve weeks.

About Southwark Charities

With a history of over 400 years, Southwark Charities provides affordable housing giving older people the opportunity to live independently in a safe, secure, and supportive environment. We also provide grant funding to a wide range of community organisations and charities working with older people in Southwark. We have a thriving membership programme to help enrich older people’s lives, support their health and well-being and tackle isolation.

Due to our prudent financial management our investments and varied income portfolio yields an annual operating budget of £1.9 million each year. Of this, we distribute around £500,000 in grants, a figure set to increase to approximately £1 million by 2029. In addition, we pay modest annual grants to around 200 individual members and organise a wide range of activities—such as theatre outings, day trips, and community events—for both almshouse residents and our wider membership community.

On completion of our new almshouse we will be providing affordable office space for like-minded organisations.

We are proud of our long history of service to Southwark’s older people and are committed to ensuring our organisation is well positioned to meet future challenges, including property expansion, increased grant-making, and a growing programme of resident and community engagement.

Our organisation currently employs a small but dedicated team of four:

• Clerk/Chief Executive (FT) – due to retire in November 2028.
• Operations Manager (FT) – appointed three years ago to free up the Clerk so they could oversee a major building programme.
• Grants Officer (FT) – currently manages ~£500k in grant giving (expected to rise to ~£1m by 2029) and provides administrative support to another charity.
• Membership Officer (0.8 FTE) – supports and organises activities for ~250 local people.

In the coming years, we face several organisational changes:

• Leadership transition with the retirement of the CEO (2028).
• Expansion of our property portfolio by 30 additional units on completion of a major works project, with the potential of a further site of 18 homes coming into our management and the rental of affordable office space.
• A possible second redevelopment of an existing site
• Growth in our grant-making capacity (from £500k to ~£1m annually).
• Expansion of membership support, resident engagement, and facility management responsibilities.

Objectives

We seek to engage an HR consultant to provide advice and proposals on the following:

1. Staffing Structure Review
   • Assess the current organisational structure and workforce capacity.
   • Review roles and functions through one-to-one interviews for clarity, overlap, and efficiency.
   • Benchmark against similar organisations.
2. Skills Audit
   • Identify current skills, gaps, and training needs across the team.
   • Recommend professional development opportunities.
3. Future Planning
   • Develop short-term (2025–2027) and medium-term (2028 onwards) staffing models.
   • Provide options for succession planning, particularly in light of the CEO’s planned departure.
   • Advise on HR implications of property & services expansion, increased grant-giving, and membership growth.
4. Practical Options & Recommendations
   • Present at least 2–3 structural options with cost implications.
   • Improvements to HR processes and systems
   • Any potential risks, concerns or obstacles and solutions to overcome them
   • Suggest phased implementation plans to align with organisational growth.

• Written report with analysis, skills audit results, and recommended structures (short-term and medium-term).
• Presentation to Board/Leadership team to discuss findings and options.
• Optional: Ongoing advisory support during implementation phase (to be agreed separately).

We are seeking an HR consultant (or consultancy) with:

• Experience in the non-profit, community housing, or grant-giving sectors, desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational design.
• Strong understanding of governance and operational needs of small-to-medium charities.

We would welcome an outline of your approach, proposed fee structure, and relevant experience.

The Fundraising, Communications, Retail Team & Reception

The Team is responsible for fundraising for the charitable work of Mothers’ Union and for communicating our work internally and externally in various formats and media platforms, resourcing dioceses, building membership, and providing a first point of contact for all callers and visitors to Mothers’ Union.

The Role

The successful candidate will primarily work with the Fundraising, Communications, Retail Team and perform Reception duties.

This role is a permanent Contract, 4 days a week . The role is based at our head office in Central London. Since this is a 100% office based role, no home working option is available.

Main Responsibilities 

Reception Duties

• Ensure a high levels of customer service is always maintained.
• To ensure reception area is well-maintained, tidy and presentable at all times.
• Call handling and redirection.
• Greeting visitors; providing face to face information and signposting.
• Greeting conference delegates; ensuring they are signed in, have relevant security badges, and information regarding allocation of meeting rooms and their location.
• To update the meeting rooms’ presentation notices and door signs as necessary.
• To liaise with the Conference & Facilities team to arrange any on-the-spot meeting room requests or other enquiries.
• To receive visitors of Mary Sumner House tenants and informing the relevant tenant of visitor’s arrival.
• Ensure all visitors observe the necessary security and health & safety procedures, including the visitors log.
• Maintain building security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
• Receive, sort and distribute post/deliveries.
• Organise the mailing out of letters and parcels as required.
• To assist the Conference & House Co-ordinator and Conference Facilities Technician when needed.
• In the absence of the Conference & House Co-ordinator, to cover the bookings and administration of meeting rooms, liaise with the facilities team to ensure meeting rooms are set up as required and refreshments and a/v equipment are in place and operational.
• To provide general administrative and coordination support related to the building and teams across the organisation. 

Membership/Supporter Care and Income Processing

• Be the first point of contact for retailby phone, letter or email and responding to these in a timely manner.
• Ensure high levels of customer service are always maintained.
• To acknowledge all fundraising income received from various sources (cheques, cash, online giving).
• To provide retail external fulfilment providers with information and support required to enable them to meet their fulfilment KPI of 1 to 3 working days, reporting any issues to the retail manager.
• To carry out retail administration duties including but not limited to the processing of all information relating to the organisational finance system.

Fundraising, Data and Database

• Support with the administration, booking, planning and delivery of income generating events.
• Produce materials to support community fundraising activity in line with agreed appeals and events.
• To work alongside the Database Manager to maintain the data architecture and quality of the database at all times.

General

• To manage the bookings diary for Mothers’ Union’s displays and banners.
• Provide administrative support to the Director of Fundraising, Communications and Retail around team meetings.
• To actively be involved in any projects undertaken by the team and contribute as required or directed by the Director of Fundraising, Communications and Retail.
• To contribute to team meetings and organisational priorities.
• To provide general administrative and coordination support related to the building and teams across the organisation.

Skills & Experience

• Experience of working within an office or customer service environment is essential.
• Experience of working with Excel is essential.
• Working within the Charity sector is desirable.
• Pleasant and efficient telephone manner. Ability to interact in a friendly and
• Personable manner with external clients, tenants and staff.
• Experience of working at a reception will be an advantage.
• Knowledge/experience of working in a conference facility and advantage.
• Good computer skills and of MS Office software, MS Outlook, Teams and Zoom.
• GCSE or equivalent passes in English and Mathematics.

JOB DESCRIPTION

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
We are looking for an exceptional fundraiser with significant experience in successfully fundraising from trusts and foundations as well as governments.

The Senior Officer – Statutory & Foundations will join a highly collaborative, supportive and ambitious Development Team and will play a key role in sustaining and growing income from trusts & foundations as well as governments. The ideal candidate will be able to work in close collaboration with Senior staff across the organisation to identify and strategize responses to grant opportunities turning complex issues into clear and persuasive proposals. The Senior Officer – Statutory & Foundations will also be responsible for initiating, developing and deepening relationships with a global roster of trusts and foundations in support of TRAFFIC’s strategic priorities, primarily focusing on six-, seven- and eight figure opportunities.

This is a diverse role with key responsibility for the delivery of TRAFFIC’s global fundraising strategy and income streams. Whilst proposal development and writing is central, the role regularly extends to leading, organising and coordinating effort both within TRAFFIC offices and with external partner organisations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Guides TRAFFIC thematic leads and Programme Offices, including Programme Office Directors, to transform project ideas into compelling funding concepts.
• Manages the development of funding proposals ; from project design, informed by strong logical framework rationale, to providing high quality written content, editorial and process guidance and other areas of technical support e.g. monitoring and evaluation.
• Initiates liaison with colleagues from finance, operations, risk management, research and data, and M&E as needed to ensure their input to proposal content and review.
• Drives efficiencies and improvements to TRAFFIC’s overall fundraising processes and systems at the institutional level (e.g. designs and maintains systems to manage current and past proposals, and maintains Raiser’s Edge database of donors), in collaboration with Development Teamcolleagues.
• Reviews funding calls and donor requirements & criteria to provide advice on direction of approach and content.
• Advises staff in the Global Office and regional programme offices to strategize responses to grant opportunities, to optimize return on effort and to ensure that funding is directed to priority intervention areas (as described in TRAFFIC’s annual workplans) and to priority funders (as identified in the fundraising strategy).
• Represents TRAFFIC in discussions with potential partners for joint bids, and provides support and advice to these external partners to strengthen bids.
• Represents TRAFFIC in donor meetings and briefing sessions.
• Designs and implements capacity building programmes for TRAFFIC on project design and proposal development, including introduction to project development within TRAFFIC, problem identification and articulation, stakeholder analysis, development of theories of change, monitoring and evaluation frameworks and processes, fundraising communication. Ensures this training is aligned to best practices in project planning across the conservation sector, and coordinated with Communications and Strategy, Programmes and Impact teams.
• Proactively researches, identifies and develop relationships with new prospects, who align to TRAFFIC priorities.
• Provides guidance on donor cultivation and engagement strategies.
• Leads on the development of generic fundraising material which can be multi-purposed for donor or wider publics.
• Advises teams across TRAFFIC as required to ensure the alignment of fundraising activities and program design to TRAFFIC strategic priorities, communications materials, and approaches (such as Evidence to Influence). Provides development input to Pipeline Group (indirectly) and Programme Forum.

REQUIREMENTS

• Project design and proposal writing experience, ideally across a range of international environmental NGOs, and a track record of success with securing at least six-figure grants from different donor sources, including European Commission, Governments, and Trusts and Foundations.
• Strategic, proactive and results focused with excellent organization and planning skills.
• Articulate with persuasive and engaging verbal communication skills and excellent written communication skills (English).
• Similar communication skills in French, Portuguese or Spanish desirable, but not required.
• Robust understanding of best practice for project design, including theory of change and log frames, and best practice approaches (e.g. Conservation Standards).
• Able to take a lead role with the packaging of a complex programme portfolio into language and visuals suitable for conveying TRAFFIC’s work to existing and potential supporters.

The Museum Manager is responsible to the Board of Trustees for the overall operational management of Haslemere Education Museum. Working with the Board of Trustees the postholder will develop the museum’s sustainability, ensuring excellent visitor experience, positive engagement with current and future audiences, fostering strong relationships internally across the staff and volunteer team and externally with the local community and partner organisations.

Person Specification
We are looking for someone with extensive recent experience of leadership management in the heritage/culture sector, including line-management of staff and financial management, with highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisation skills, and a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications
Degree or equivalent, plus experience of working in a similar role OR specialised skills acquired through significant on the job experience
