Please note this role will require an enhanced DBS check due to the need to work closely with vulnerable adults. You will also require a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of clients, delivering effective support, needs assessments, and support plans
• Provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable individuals with complex needs
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver multi-agency interventions
• Support individuals to access services such as housing, healthcare, education, and employment
• Carry out risk assessments and develop “staying safe” plans
• Help prevent and reduce rough sleeping and homelessness across the borough
• Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service performance targets
• Participate in out-of-hours work, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rota

Requirements:

• Recent, relevant experience working in a housing or homelessness-focused role
• Experience with support planning and risk management in collaboration with service users
• High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities and caseloads
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
• Collaborative, proactive, and empathetic approach

About the role

You will be responsible for delivering mentoring and leadership programmes, ensuring a high-quality experience for participants and stakeholders.
This will include:

• Leading the coordination and delivery of mentoring and leadership programmes
• Organising and delivering workshops, training sessions and events, both online and in person
• Managing relationships with external consultants and facilitators
• Supporting participants through mentoring processes, including onboarding and engagement
• Using CRM systems to manage data, monitor programme uptake and produce reports
• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across academic, research and professional communities
• Developing and producing programme materials, guidance and communications
• Supporting newsletters and website content updates
• Monitoring programme performance and contributing to evaluation and reporting
• Contributing to wider team priorities and organisational initiatives

About you

You will bring a strong track record of delivering programmes or initiatives within a structured, stakeholder-focused environment, alongside a genuine interest in research, higher education, or professional development.

This role is particularly suited to candidates with backgrounds in:

• Higher education, research organisations, charities, policy or not-for-profit sectors
• Programme or project delivery roles, particularly those involving training, events or career development initiatives
• Stakeholder engagement roles, working with academic, clinical or professional audiences

You are likely to succeed in this role if you:

• Have end-to-end experience delivering programmes, events or structured initiatives
• Are confident engaging with senior stakeholders, including academics, researchers or external partners
• Have experience using CRM systems (such as Salesforce) to manage data, track engagement and report on outcomes
• Are highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Have produced communications, reports or guidance materials for professional audiences
• Take a proactive approach to improving processes and participant experience
• Enjoy working collaboratively and are motivated by supporting the development of others

Job Title:  Child Support Officer (Therapeutic) 

Hours:  Part-time 17.5 hours per week during Monday to Friday  - working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2027 with the possibility of extension subject to availability of funding 

Salary:  £15,750 to £16,750 per annum depending on experience (this is £31,500 to 33,500 Full-time equivalent)

About the role: We are seeking to recruit a Child Support Officer (Therapeutic). You will provide early intervention, trauma-informed therapeutic support to children and young people living in BCWA’s refuges and dispersed move-on accommodation who have been affected by domestic abuse. You will develop, deliver, and evaluate a programme of one-to-one support, group sessions, and structured play/learning activities for children and young people.You will use creative and therapeutic approaches (e.g. play, arts, and age-appropriate therapeutic tools) to support children in understanding and recovering from trauma and domestic abuse. You will have significant professional experience of domestic abuse, safeguarding children, managing risk and promoting recovery, as well as an excellent working knowledge of the challenges faced by children who have experienced domestic abuse.

We are seeking a self-motivated, flexible and experienced individual to join our dynamic team to help us deliver excellent services to vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse and be committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner.  

Location: This role requires a flexible, outreach-based approach, working across BCWA sites in Bromley & Croydon boroughs, including independent refuges and dispersed move-on accommodation. You will be delivering sessions in a variety of locations and carrying out regular check-ins with children and mothers where they are living.A driving licence and access to a vehicle would be preferable however the role can still be done using public transport, but you will need to take more care when scheduling meetings and planning your travel routes.

YES care about young people's mental health, sexual health and wellbeing. The Outreach and Support Officer will deliver knowledgeable, high-quality, youth-centred support to young people in various settings.

You will get out into the community via outreach engagement, offering groups, 121 support and workshops.  You will be a key part of our Information and Guidance team, delivering wellbeing programmes for YES. 

This role is frontline and delivery-focused, supporting the development of responsive, inclusive, and professionally delivered services in outreach settings such as schools, youth clubs, social spaces and groups and will be pivotal within our small team of young people's support staff.
