About the role

We're looking for someone who wants to build their career in marketing and digital communications and has a knack for administrative tasks, great writing skills and an eye for detail. As part of The King’s Fund’s Marketing and Digital Communications team, you’ll be at the heart of giving colleagues and customers a consistent, joined-up experience and play a key role in our marketing and communications strategy.

You’ll deal with a spectrum of work spanning from writing and creating compelling copy to diving into our CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and managing lists; to pulling together evaluation reports, analysing campaign performance, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights. With support from your manager and the rest of the team, it’s a great role to build your expertise and gain valuable marketing experience.

The Role

What will I be doing?

• Supporting the Manager- Teaching Workforce in the development of a report on Recruitment, Retention and Retraining physics teachers in further education
• Supporting the development of relationships with key stakeholders in the education sector, including curating key networks such as the Initial Teaching Training community
• Undertaking activities to support the development of a robust research and evidence base around: the factors underpinning the health of the physics teaching workforce and how best to create the conditions for this to thrive

The Role

The purpose of the Project and Policy Officer role is to:

• Provide vital project management support to substantial and often fast-paced projects that National Voices runs across its whole organisation including the policy and external affairs team and the evidence and improvement team
• Assist senior members of the policy team to develop policy projects and outputs which support the adoption and spread of equitable and person-centred health and care services.
• Work with voluntary sector organisations and people with the greatest health and care needs to ensure they are engaged in National Voices’ work

Responsibilities

Project organisation and administrative

· Support and coordinate the project management of significant projects, across the whole organisation including the policy and external affairs team and the evidence and improvement team. 

· Maintain records of activity, finances and minutes etc as required.

· Lead on collating evidence of activity and its impact to support evaluation.  

· Support the planning and facilitation of online and in person events such as working days and webinars.

· Support stakeholder management, particularly via email and diary management using electronic systems.

Insight, engagement and communication

· Work with voluntary sector organisations and people with the greatest health needs in the coordination and support of workshops, focus groups and in-depth interviews.

· Read and analyse the influencing work our members do (reports, events) and share content with the National Voices team, spot and make connections.

· Connect with policy and influencing colleagues in member organisations, sharing our work with members.

· Work with senior members of the team to deliver timely and effective Heads of Policy meetings and Members’ Briefings on strategic topics within health and care.

· Identify, monitor and evaluate policy issues and assist senior members of the team to formulate and draft new policy positions, consultation responses, reports, briefings and other policy and public affairs documents that capture agreed positions.

· Support and develop the communication of project outcomes and outputs working closely with National Voices Policy and Communications manager.

Our approach to hybrid working

We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.

We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to-face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.

We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time.

This is role is offered on the initial basis of a 3 year contract, with any extension of that subject to funding.

As a Policy Officer at TransActual you will:

• Engage with elected representatives and civil servants.
• Support with the research for, writing and distribution of TransActual’s Parliamentary briefings.
• Research and write responses to consultations, reviews and calls for evidence.
• Keep our policy database up to date.
• Support the Policy Lead in creating and coordinating a Trans Policy Network.
• Support the delivery of a programme of work to support activists to develop their develop skills and expertise in policy work.

We have a great job opening in our Grants team at ClientEarth! As Grants Officer you will work in our Grants Team to manage a portfolio of grants that fund our organisation’s work.

ClientEarth’s Development Department is responsible for raising and managing funds to enable the organisation to deliver its mission using the power of the law to bring about systemic change that protects the earth for, and with its inhabitants. Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Lydia Baker. Lydia joined ClientEarth in August 2024 and in her role as a Grants Manager is responsible for managing relationships with key funders. Lydia has worked in the NGO sector for over eight years and has expertise in a variety of functions including grant management, programme management, communications and monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning.  On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with Lydia as part of an established Grants Team that sits within the Development Department at ClientEarth.

Main Duties

• Funding portfolio management - Have a close and in-depth knowledge of their grants portfolio, including a sound understanding of the philanthropic, institutional and statutory funding mix;
• Internal and external communications - Meet with Trust, Foundation and Institution portfolio managers to discuss proposals, provide updates on the programmatic work, and to formally report back on financial, organisational and technical issues; 
• Project management - Effectively manage reporting and the grant renewal process from start to completion including working with multiple teams across ClientEarth’s European and international offices to ensure input from all avenues to complete proposals and reports in a timely and high-quality manner; and

• Significant fundraising management experience in Asia with demonstrable experience of securing five and six figure, and multi year gifts  
• Experience in multiple elements of fundraising including identifying and building supporter bases in new geographies and working with different types of fundraising teams (e.g. philanthropic/HNWIs, trusts and foundations)
• Experience of working in a global team, working across multiple time zones and understanding / experience of working in a matrix style
• Experience of working with senior internal and external stakeholders, to build networks, deliver income and raise organisation profiles
• Ability to represent ClientEarth externally to high value funders and other senior stakeholders.

We are seeking a Head of Supporter Engagement to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications to develop and enhance our Public Fundraising Programme, which covers Individual Giving, Lottery, Challenge Events and Legacy income. Having invested in the team’s capacity, we aim to grow income from c. £1m to £1.8m over the next few years. This in the broader context of a total voluntary income target for the charity of £5m-£6m.

The Head of Supporter Engagement leads a team of seven which includes three direct reports: Community Fundraising Manager, Individual Giving Manager and Database Manager. As part of the senior leadership team within the Fundraising & Communications Team, you will contribute to the wider leadership and decision making in the department, acts as a role-model for our values and build strong relationships outside our team, such as with Finance and the Care Team (service delivery).

You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective supporters of Noah’s Ark. You will ensure our supporters have the best supporter experience possible, to make them feel engaged and motivated, valued and informed about the impact of their donations. You will be responsible for developing implementing strategies for donor acquisition and retention, managing communications with our supporters through various channels. You will have a great degree of freedom to innovate and bring creative flare to our programmes, building your decisions on solid data, donor insight and best practice.

• Develop compelling written stories, resources and materials to support the communication and impact of our work
• Work with the Partnerships team to support and coordinate effective organisational systems and processes for the completion of funding pitches, proposals and reports.
• Conduct effective due diligence checks on existing donors and ensure procedures are in place for all partners.
• Maintain global pipeline of existing donors, with the opportunity to uplift and cultivate these relationships

With exceptional organisational skills, you will be comfortable working across multiple projects and coordinating contributions across all parts of the organisation and will bring relevant experience of designing and developing compelling funding proposals and reports. You will have strong writing skills with the ability to tailor your approach to a variety of audiences and bring the impact of our work, and our story, to life. You will be confident in your communications and will have the ability to engage in a variety of interactions with colleagues across the movement. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

They will head the Church Planning process for the region, ensuring every church maintains and develops their co-created Church Plan.
