Purpose of the job

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Communications Manager to join our team. Working closely with the Partnerships and Communications Director, the role will help deliver ELBA’s Communication Strategy and external comms.

With a background in design, and a knowledge and ability in web design, build and management, the Communications Manager will manage ELBA’s visual identity/design work and website. This role will combine hands-on content creation with design application to enhance our organisational storytelling, digital presence and stakeholder engagement.

Overseeing a cross-departmental committee that helps facilitate all-team involvement in comms, the Communications Manager will support and help generate content for the website, social media and newsletters.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communications

• Working closely with the CEO and Partnerships and Communications Director, refine and implement the organisation’s communications strategy

• Create the Mailchimp newsletter, and search for and source images for news articles

Performance Monitoring

• Gather and analyse quarterly data and metrics for website, newsletter and social media performance
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve reach, engagement and content effectiveness
• Maintain content calendars and communications logs to support planning and reporting

Content Creation and Editing

• Create, co-create, edit and upload content
• Ensure content is accurate, engaging, well-written and in line with house style

Newsletters and Campaigns

• Design and distribute a monthly newsletter using Mailchimp

• Support planning and delivery of campaigns that support organisational goals

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a communications, content or digital marketing role
• WordPress back-end and front-end knowledge and skills 
• Technically-able with experience using newsletter software such as Mailchimp, as well as generally being proficient using a range of digital tools and software.

About the role

At The Brilliant Club, we mobilise the PhD community to support students from less advantaged backgrounds to access the most competitive universities and succeed when they get there. This senior role will be a part of the Senior Leadership Group and will report to the Chief Programmes and Communities Officer. Overview and key points on the role  | Rape Crisis South London is looking for 2 part time skilled, passionate and professional Caseworkers who will be based within the Advocacy Service.  As a Caseworker you will support clients through their journey through the housing and benefits system by providing practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence.  You should have a good working knowledge of Housing processes and Welfare benefits systems with experience of carrying out assessments and completing applications.  In addition to having excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills you should also be able to develop key relationships with external agencies such as the local authority.   You should have demonstrable experience working with survivors of sexual violence and of working in a trauma-informed way. Key elements of the role:

- Developing and leading public affairs strategies to influence the main political parties on topics that matter to our members.
- Building effective relationships with parliamentarians, ministers and shadow ministers, researchers and political advisers.
- Collaborating with colleagues through project groups and providing expert public affairs advice on a range of policy issues.
- Monitoring Parliament and key political development to ensure NHF staff and our members are informed on key issues.
- Drafting high-quality briefings, letters and other documents for national politicians.

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Events Fundraising Officer in our Fundraising team at St Joseph’s Hospice.

We are looking for an experienced Events Fundraiser to join our small but dynamic fundraising team. The role will be responsible for promoting and managing a mix of third party challenge events and bespoke events whilst providing excellent stewardship to our event fundraisers. 

Working with the Public Fundraising Manager, the post holder will implement a 5 year action plan to increase income, develop effective stewardship journeys and deliver a varied and successful events calendar.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.

About you

You will need:

• Experience of managing challenge events for a Charity
• Experience of managing campaign/activity budgets of approx. £40k per year
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and effectively manage workload to hit deadlines
