About this exciting opportunity
Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, our successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.
You will produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will include providing practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options and appearing in court. We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and to close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support.
What we are looking for
- Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families
- Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team
- Experience of using support plans, to enable people to successfully access support services
- Substantial experience of engaging successfully with ‘challenging’ young people
- To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one
- A knowledge of relevant services for young people and their families in the service provision area
- First-class interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Successful candidates must undergo an Enhanced DBS check, on the basis that the post involves contact with vulnerable participants and colleagues.

The Role

Job Title: Executive Administrator

About the role

Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.
We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. These include local schools and community organisations. Maintaining great relationships with these and other supporters Is a key requirement of this role. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Role Purpose
Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Stewardship, reporting, pipeline and other database management tasks are other key features of the role.

The role

- Manage a caseload of partnership relationships learning about their needs and providing advice, support, and services personally with the help of others
- Offer community days and dog walks in local communities bringing people together
- Provide tailored support to hearing dog partners through remote contact, home and workplace visits, and accompanying them to the vets and other places
- Create and implement partnership support plans, dog behaviour modification plans, dog welfare plans, and risk management
- Continually assess the support need and risks for our partnerships and hearing dogs and ensure adequate plans are in place to address them

The successful candidate is confident in their dog training and handling ability. They are experienced coaching and encouraging others.
