The Role

This is a work from home post and can be based remotely anywhere within the UK. There will be the need to travel to meetings in London occasionally and travel to our services across England and Scotland on an ad hoc basis.

As the newly appointed Business Development Finance Partner, you will work closely with the Head of Business Development and Director in identifying and evaluating new opportunities as well as working across the Organisation to support ongoing contract management and financial business management activities.

The Events Officer plays a key role in our highly effective communications team, leading on the delivery of an impactful programme of events – both online and in person. Bonny Downs Community Association has been working together to change lives and transform our community since 1998. Over the past 25 years our team has grown to provide a wide array of services that benefit Newham residents from all walks of life. 

This role is specifically funded through the Youth Endowment fund as a pilot project ‘Thriving Communities’. You will be required to work alongside Thriving Communities commissioners, as well as the project’s Youth Justice Worker’s, Educational Psychologist, and/or professionals assigned to individual young people’s cases- such as teachers, social workers and mentors. The Thriving Communities project is a small part of a wider collaborative project, EMPOWER YOUTH, delivered by two partner charities so, although this position is based at BDCA, you will be working closely with a second East Ham Youth Partnership Project lead and team of Sessional Assistants based at nearby charity The Renewal Programme (TRP). Staff from each organisation will work together to deliver the programme and cross-refer young people to activities led by both teams. You will also be required to work with BDCA’s own Children & Families team during the summer scheme and liaise with our marketing team all year round. External partner agencies that you will work directly with include Thriving Communities panel, Newham Youth Empowerment Service, Newham Community Engagement Team, local sports clubs and schools.

St Mungo’s has embarked on an exciting period of change. We are looking for a talented and ambitious individual who can join us as a Business Analyst. You will support us in improving the quality, efficiency, and usability of our systems and processes.

Becoming part of our change programme, you will be based in the Transformation team, but will be expected to work with colleagues across the organisation, particularly IT.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations

About you

To be successful in this role you will be confident performing business analysis on assigned projects. Communication is also key in this role as you will be ensuring that business needs are clearly articulated and shared with IT and Transformation whilst providing translation of technical and business language for wider understanding.

You will build and maintain stakeholder relationships within relevant teams, especially project teams, supporting teams throughout planning, implementation, and development and design phases of projects. This will include performing  requirements management and ensure that governance milestones are properly met.

To be successful in this role, you will;

• Be highly efficient with a strong attention to detail. 
• Understand working in a mission-based organisation. 
• Have some relevant experience and/or qualifications (Green Belt Six Sigma or other related qualifications) 
• Be able to translate technical information for non-technical users. 
• Be an effective communicator with strong report writing skills and not afraid to call out risks and/or failing performance. 
• Consult, draft materials, and delivery training on business analysis tools and techniques as requested by the Transformation Programme Manager. 
• Be a team player able to work effectively within and across teams.

The Role
Our Practitioner Led Assessment Service is the entry point for our beneficiaries seeking support from the Charity. Our Assessment Practitioners work in partnership with our beneficiaries to identify goals, individual needs and appropriate solutions.

The team provide advice, information and support and work collaboratively with the multi-professional team to ensure our beneficiaries are offered the right support at the right time.

Reporting into the Beneficiary Experience and Continuity Lead you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the practitioner led assessment service, holding a small case load and reviewing and resolving complex cases with the team. 

You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across health improvement and rehabilitation services, to ensure services are integrated, person centred, outcome focused and based on an ethos of recovery.

About You

• Be a registered health or social care practitioner, with membership of a relevant professional body
• Have experience of managing a multi-professional team within a health or social care setting
• Have experience of conducting telephone assessments (health and wellbeing), service user risk assessments and delivering advice and information to improve health and wellbeing
• Be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing, together with sound judgment skills
• Have the ability to travel (within the UK) on occasion
• Have a suitable working area and space available that is free from distraction (if home working or hybrid).  You will be provided with a laptop computer and access to our telephone systems and digital tools such as MS Teams.
