The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a reliable, conscientious and self-motivated individual to join the Inspire Management Information (MI) team as an MI Data Systems Manager.

Inspire provides a full MI service to the nine local authorities that make up the London East sub-region and we work in close partnership with wider London local authorities, career companies and other national partners to support the needs of young people through the intelligent use of management information. We have a reputation for providing insightful and informative data analysis to meet local and national requirements, always ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and security.

Key responsibilities of the MI Data Systems Manager include:

• Supporting the Deputy Director and Senior Systems Manager to develop, implement and manage the MI service.
• Monitoring of data integrity and quality within the database.
• Preparing the submission of mandatory management information to the Department for Education within set deadlines and to national standards.
• Supporting a MI helpline to users of the system.
• Interrogation of the database to conduct analysis and create reports.
• Developing and delivering training in the use of the database.
• Managing a team member.
• Taking lead responsibility for the production, analysis and presentation of MI reports.
• Maintaining a high level of understanding of all national requirements relating to the service.
• Contributing to effective teamwork and information sharing

New Partners and Funders:

· Identify and cultivate opportunities for new partnerships and funding streams.

· Develop compelling proposals for new partners in line with bid rules.

· Represent the organisation at events, leveraging networking opportunities to promote our mission.

Fundraising Development:

· Contribute to the ongoing development of the fundraising strategy.

· Create presentations to attract new funders.

· Generate leads and support the fundraising team in achieving their goals.

Account Management:

· Manage a portfolio of partners, ensuring effective communication and stewardship.

Essential:

· Proven experience in fundraising management, including bid writing and account management.

 Around the world hundreds of thousands of children struggle to survive on the streets. In many countries, they have become an accepted issue in society, deprived of access to the most basic services and they experience extreme harm before and during their time on the streets.

Wherever they may be in the world, they face violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

Founded in 1996, Railway Children has dedicated over a quarter of a century to developing outstanding practice and services for street connected children. With projects in the UK, India and East Africa, we aim to reach these children as soon as they are in danger and intervene before an abuser can.  As we embark on our new strategy to 2027, we have ambitious plans to ensure no child is left behind, wherever we work.

The Programme Manager role will report to the Senior Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for project managing a number of our services. You will have a clear focus of delivering high quality programmes that are run smoothly, efficiently, within budget, and achieve the desired outcomes and objectives for both the partners and the young people.

You will lead and support others within your team to deliver high quality programmes from initiation through to evaluation and review, that will directly contribute to the company’s growth strategy and impact.

The Programme Manager will also be a key member of the department and contribute to, departmental strategies, systems and maximising efficiency, delivering programme management to an excellent standard that produces high impact for our young people and partners.

In this role, you will work closely with the Digital Communications and Marketing, Business Development and Finance teams.

The Childhood Trust

The Childhood Trust is London’s child poverty charity. Children growing up in poverty face multiple and complex challenges which limits their potential and development, leading to poor health and life chances in adulthood. Our work is focused on supporting the 700,000 children living in poverty in London.

Role Description

As Volunteer Programmes Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects in the Decorate A Child's Life (DACL) and Adventure Play Partnership (APP) volunteering programmes. Your role will include  managing the day-to-day operations for Volunteer Programmes, oversight of programme coordination,  reviewing and updating procedures on a rolling basis and keeping good records, including financial monitoring and collecting impact data for regular reporting. This role may at times include attending site visits to scope projects, and leading and supervising groups of volunteers during project installations. 

You will work closely with fundraising colleagues to match partners/corporate volunteer groups to projects, and from time to time you’ll contribute to scoping new opportunities to adapt our offer for potential partnership pitches. Our Corporate Partnerships Manager will be a key colleague, as you’ll work together to plan and organise volunteering opportunities and to plan and implement a high-quality volunteer experience that ultimately helps the charity to secure income generation corporate partnerships. You’ll need to take a lead role in monitoring and reporting on progress, including the expenditure budget for project delivery, the level of delivery and the capturing of feedback from both beneficiaries and volunteers.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring referral partners and programme stakeholders receive a high-quality end-to-end service and timely responses to enquiries. 
• Project co-ordination and liaison with suppliers, designers, families, social workers, and referral partners. 
• Maintaining project budgets adn impact reporting 
• When necessary, conducting site visits to family homes and youth/community centres prior to project delivery (this will require travel within London). 
• Updating programme forms, paperwork and records using systems such as JotForm, Salesforce and Microsoft applications. 
• When necessary, managing volunteer groups on project delivery days, including carrying our practical tasks such as painting, furniture building, as necessary
• Contributing to the review and evaluation of volunteer programmes and informing future decision-making
• Producing and maintaining volunteer programme comms materials and Childhood Trust website copy
• Building strong relationships with colleagues across The Childhood Trust

This is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of homebased and office working. This role requires you at time to be working on-site delivering volunteering projects across London.

The Programme Officer role will report to the Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

In this role, you will work closely with our Youth Ambassadors, Facilitator Team and Digital Communications and Marketing team.

Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity and works with thousands of schools and young people across the UK through its programmes. The Ambassador programme is a key part of our work at Just Like Us.

This role will be key in ensuring that we have a growing community of LGBT+ young people aged 18-25 who volunteer with Just Like Us. We support them to:

• Use their voice: by delivering school talks, writing for the press and speaking on panels

• Develop their skills: through workshops and mentoring 

• Join a community: volunteer with hundred of other LGBT+ young people 

This role is critical to the delivery of this mission and will support the Head of Volunteering Programmes to meet the needs of our community of LGBT+ young people aged 18-25 and the schools that we work with.

VICTA is looking to recruit an Activities & Strategic Programmes Manager. As a charity that works to empower children and young people who are blind or partially sighted, we seek someone who is passionate about supporting people to live life to the full.

As the Programme Manager, working with the wider team, you will be instrumental in devising, building and delivering an activities programme that supports our objectives. As such, you will need experience of working with a range of different stakeholders including people who have a disability, volunteers, suppliers, professionals and other third sector organisations. Who we are

The problem - On average, 160 young people are excluded from school each week. Once excluded, prospects for these young people are bleak, with only 4% achieving good GCSE grades, and 67% entering sustained education, employment or training compared to 96% of their non-excluded peers. This can be a pipeline to prison, with concerning statistics showing 63% of prisoners having been excluded from school.

Our mission - To ensure that young people who have been excluded from school are not excluded from society.

Who we serve - We support the hardest to reach young people in the most disadvantaged communities, each of whom are most at risk of experiencing school exclusion or are at risk of being excluded. Young people who are eligible for free school meals are 4x more likely to get excluded, along with black Caribbean boys. Young people with special educational needs are also six times as likely to be excluded as their peers.

Our work - We work in a number of different settings both during term time and after school. Our coaches lead small groups of 8-10 young people, using sport as a hook and mentorship as an anchor to develop their soft skills, as well as improve their physical & mental wellbeing. This, coupled with exposure to the work place through Career Taster Days, raises their aspirations and puts young people in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school.

Role Overview

We are looking for someone to carry out maternity cover for our Programme Manager (Midlands & North). The Programme Manager role purpose is to lead on all aspects of service delivery within the Midlands & North area, which currently covers the following hubs: Birmingham, Solihull, Leicester, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Liverpool, Warrington & Oldham. This is a 10 month fixed term role with the opportunity to extend employment at the end of the contract.

This includes accountability for the delivery of our in person services, digital delivery (Player Profiles), impact, employability, regional fundraising, regional partnerships, business development and people across all regions in the Midlands & North. You will directly line manage at least 3 people but be responsible for a wider team of circa 15 people.  

This is a varied and hands on role that will be full of purpose. You’ll be joining a supportive and driven team that works hard to help young people change their lives. As a manager you will play a key part in the leadership of the organisation and driving the implementation of strategic plans on the ground.

It is important to us that this role remains embedded within the delivery of our interventions, therefore the post holder will be required to spend up to 25% delivering our programmes or working alongside staff for quality assurance.

Osmani Trust provides a range of youth, violence reduction, employment, mentoring, and health and sports services tailored to meet the diverse needs of communities in Tower Hamlets and surrounding Boroughs. Through its provisions, Osmani Trust seeks to address issues impacting the community including substance misuse, racial tensions, criminality and anti-social behaviour, territoriality and gang-related violence, unemployment and overcrowding, lack of training and employment opportunities. The Programme Manager will lead the grassroots consortium, Better Bethnal Green (BBG). The post holder will work with partners to support young people facing multiple/complex disadvantages in the borough, transforming the life trajectories of young people who have become marginalised by local poverty, unemployment, and crime, particularly those from BAME communities who are disproportionately affected by these issues.

Key responsibilities

* Programme Development, Delivery and Leadership: Lead and manage the delivery of the BBG programme, collaborating with partners, stakeholders, and the local community to develop and promote effective interventions, engaging key grassroots partners and young people.
* Community Engagement, Partnerships and Networking: Ensure local communities are informed, fostering a sense of ownership and participation. Develop and strengthen relationships with diverse stakeholders, including local authorities, statutory bodies, and educational institutions to support the programme.
* Monitoring and Evaluation: Oversee data collection, monitoring, and evaluation activities to track programme impact and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
* Financial Management and Fundraising: Manage programme budgets, prepare financial reports, and identify opportunities for additional funding to support sustainability.

The Programme Manager will have experience managing multiple projects with a proven track record. The successful candidate will have experience of developing and monitoring programmes against targets and outcomes and managing project budgets. You will understand London's voluntary sector, local community needs and its challenges, particularly related to the youth sector, youth violence and community safety in diverse communities and delivered and evaluated the impact of these initiatives related to the work of Osmani Trust. You will be results-driven and motivated with excellent communication skills and able to adapt and respond to changing requirements positively.

You will need to be confident in working within education settings, liaising with school staff, volunteers, and corporate volunteers. Your experience of relationships development and management will help with developing new schools as well as supporting existing school relationships. You will also oversee regional relationships, at local authority level or equivalent.

The EPRM role involves being flexible to the needs of the region and your team and to provide regional leadership. Some of the duties include, which is not an exhaustive list

• Deliver and or support the delivery of Young Enterprise programmes and services in schools, colleges, universities, and youth centres
• Work as part of the regional team to proactively identify and generate sources of local income to support YE programmes.
• Manage and monitor KPIs and local contracts associated with the above tasks through the regional operations plan set out by the Regional Manager.
• Work with the local YE Volunteer Team (LVT), providing support, direction and opportunities to engage with local activity, which may include fundraising, volunteering on programmes and / or promoting our programmes to new school
• Work closely with Programmes & Services team to support the development and delivery of our full suite of programmes, while also developing your own knowledge and understanding of our full suite of programmes and services to promote to schools.

You'll be working alongside an experienced and passionate regional team, with a 'can-do' ethos of supporting each other and sharing knowledge across programmes and geographies.

This is a home-based role, however, will require significant travel throughout the Midlands region (covering both East and West Midlands)
