About HIAS+JCORE
HIAS+JCORE is the UK Jewish voice on refugees and racial justice. Our work is driven by the belief that the Jewish community should play an active part in building a society in which Refugees are able to live in dignity where the UK is a welcoming place free from racism.

JUMP is a London-based befriending project for young asylum seekers and refugees who have been separated from their families. The three primary ways in which JUMP supports young people are casework, community, and
befriending.
About the role
We are looking for a self-starting team member who will help coordinate this valuable project in London. You’ll be responsible for the befriending pairs and undertake tasks such as develop and maintain relationships with partner organisations, manage referrals for young people, recruit volunteer befrienders, and setting-up and sustaining pairs. This includes leading an initial training day.
Contact with befrienders is through monthly reporting, and bi-annual supervision (initially after three months for new befrienders); alongside ad-hoc communication on safeguarding or other urgent matters. Contact with young people is more regular and varies depending on their casework support needs.
Community events take place every three months and offer a space for all young people and volunteers to come together and celebrate the work they are doing on JUMP. You will need to attend these events, which can take place on the
weekend, and liaise with your cohort of befriending pairs to ensure everyone has the correct information.
JUMP also has Hardship Fund (HSF) available to young people who need financial support with travel, clothing, food vouchers, and phone contracts. We also have a small budget for miscellaneous payments, which in the past has included paying for emergency accommodation for young people facing homelessness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting the running of our JUMP project in London, and overseeing and supporting up to 15 pairs, by:
Supporting young people and the JUMP Community
· Managing a caseload of young people;
· Offering casework support (e.g., related to housing, education; day-to-day needs; arranging legal intervention etc.);
· Where necessary arranging and attending appointments with the young person (GP, Home Office, Job Centre, and Legal appointments);
· Signposting young people to available support and intervening where necessary.
· Assisting in the planning and organising of group trips and events every 2- 3 months;
· Conducting initial assessments with young people to understand their needs, and once paired with a volunteer, hosting befriending initial meetings;
· Facilitating Hardship Fund payments to young people, including applications and approvals.
Supervising and supporting volunteers
· Organising and delivering JUMP core training to new and existing befrienders;
· Recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new befrienders;
· Supporting befriending volunteers through regular supervisions, meetings, emails and phone calls;
· Responding to applications from new volunteers and actively recruiting volunteers as required;
· Ensuring that volunteers uphold JUMP’s policies and boundaries for
befriending;
· Responding promptly to safeguarding concerns raised by volunteers.
Publicising JUMP, and engaging with key stakeholders
· Publicising the project to existing and potential referral agencies working with young asylum seekers and refugees who have been separated from their families;
· Establishing and maintaining excellent close working relationships with referral organisations;
· Representing HIAS+JCORE and JUMP in the refugee sector as required, for example at the Refugee and Migrant Forum meetings..
Project monitoring, evaluation and record keeping
· Working with experts and the Frontline Support Manager on supporting the project and its evaluation;
· Keeping accurate records in the JUMP database, including for safeguarding and impact evaluation purposes.
Other Duties
· Ensuring that JUMP informs our campaigns, communications and education work. As the project develops, there will be opportunities for the post- holder to contribute to and support these areas of our work;
· Undertaking any other related tasks as required.
ABOUT YOU
· Ability to support, develop rapport and trust with, and motivate both young people and volunteers from a range of backgrounds and ages in challenging circumstances, including the ability to facilitate and engage in cross cultural communication;
· Knowledge of issues facing separated asylum seeking and refugee children and young people, and the rights and entitlements of ‘Looked After’ children and young people;
· Understanding of the current context surrounding immigration, asylum and welfare issues facing children and young people in the UK today;
· Understanding of Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding, and ability to communicate this to volunteers;
· Understanding of youth work principles and methods, including the benefits and challenges of befriending and other participatory methods;
· Ability to network in the refugee sector and develop strong working relationships;
· Ability to work independently and to self-motivate;
· Commitment to HIAS+JCORE values, social justice and antiracism;
· The ability to communicate in languages other than English, in particular Arabic, Spanish and French (desirable).

· A track record of working directly with asylum seeking and refugee children and young people;

The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. Purpose of the Job
The Health & Safety Officer will support and report to the Health & Safety Lead to ensure that The Felix Project maintains compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food safety legislation. This role is integral in maintaining a safe working environment across all Felix sites by assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of robust health and safety systems. The Officer will work proactively with staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture, support operational improvements, and deliver H&S-related training and engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Support the Health & Safety Lead: Assist in the day-to-day management of health and safety processes, ensuring that all activities comply with relevant legislation and internal policies.
· Risk Assessments: Support the creation, review, and regular update of risk assessments (RAs) and safe systems of work (SSOWs) across various sites, ensuring all potential hazards are identified and managed appropriately.
· Incident Reporting: Support the management of the reporting and investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring all reports are accurate, timely, and followed up with corrective actions where necessary.
· Training and Induction: Support the delivery of health and safety training programs, inductions, and toolbox talks for staff and volunteers. Maintain records of all training and ensure they are kept up to date.
· Safety Inspections: Carry out regular safety inspections and contribute to internal audit processes to ensure high standards of compliance and housekeeping. Escalate issues and support local teams in resolving risks identified during audits or site visits. Report findings to the Health & Safety Lead and follow up on necessary actions.

The Democratic Progress Institute (DPI) is an independent non-governmental organisation established in consultation with international experts in conflict resolution and democratic advancement. DPI seeks to promote peace and democracy building through strengthened public dialogue and engagement.
Overall Purpose of the Position
The Head of Programmes is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the organisations’ project activities and leads the DPI Programmes team, also ensuring a close working relationship with Finance, Fundraising and Operations colleagues. The role works with the CEO on operational, fundraising, strategic and monitoring levels and also involves representing DPI at external meetings and events as needed.
Project Management
- Coordinates the day-to-day operational management of the DPI’s programmes, including the implementation of activities and financial matters– in close coordination with relevant colleagues.
- Monitors the implementation of project activities and ensures compliance with the strategic framework as well as internal procedures and policies including financial and administrative.
- Facilitates programmes and events meetings (including designing the agenda and overseeing the organisation and preparation of materials)
- Manages performance of programmes’ team both Türkiye and UK.
- Organises regular meetings with the Programmes team to ensure project plan is on -track.

· Oversees deliverables and performance of the M&EE and Communications consultants.
Network
- Represents and promotes DPI’s work in varied contexts and maintains relationships with external stakeholders in Türkiye and in Europe such as political party representatives.
- Builds and maintains relationships with partners and donors alongside the Funding and Development Manager when needed.
- Carries out frequent visits to Türkiye and maintains a good working knowledge of the facts on the ground when needed.
Project Development
- Translates strategy into operational objectives and develops project/fundraising proposals including concept notes and narrative project proposals in conjunction with Funding and Development Manager.

This exciting new project has emerged following consultation and engagement work in 2025 across central government, Local Authorities, regional London-wide partners, Young Camden, Young Brent and Young Westminster Foundations, and the local voluntary sectors.
The result is an innovative, co-funded project, seeking to work in new ways for the benefit of young people at risk of serious youth violence in this part of NW London. This role will coordinate all aspects of the management of this programme, driving high quality delivery and outcomes.
The focus of this collaboration is to tackle Serious Youth Violence and promote youth safety across the stretch of NW London from Kilburn High Road (Brent & Camden), through Queen’s Park (Brent & Westminster) which covers three boroughs. This part of London has been a hotspot for serious youth violence for many years, for young people both based in these communities and passing through. Tackling the issues in this part of North West London has always been a challenge, as the area is split across Local Authority lines. The area also features high levels of serious violence involving young people, both committing offences and also being victims of them (often interlinked). This is coupled with high levels of poverty and inequality, and also features relatively fewer youth opportunities than elsewhere in these boroughs.
As part of the project, the Local Authorities of each area are contributing funds over the next three years to fund collaborative and cross-borough projects that will support the safety of children and young people in this community. The project is funded by John Lyon’s Charity.
The project recognises that many of the challenges in this part of London are structural, but is motivated by the hope that key partners working together in new and different ways can help to breakdown some of the barriers that interrupt effective intervention and prevention.
The project does not seek to reinvent the wheel, and instead seeks to leverage the existing connections, expertise, partnerships and projects already happening within local areas.
