Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Without our care, these buildings might have disappeared entirely. Instead, they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.

 

Overall job purpose

This is a fundamental role within our South regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer.

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 29 historic churches across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.

We're looking for an efficient, friendly Volunteer Co-ordinator to join our award-winning charity.  The team is based at our busy community centre from where it offers a range of services from community meals, art classes to gardening services and digital support.  We support older and disabled people living in Fulham, London.  Much of our work is delivered by volunteers, so this post is critical to our service delivery. You will recruit, induct, and coordinate volunteers; including leading our Good Neighbours Scheme and Befriending Scheme and supporting the recruitment for all other projects.

Brent Mencap has been passionate about a healthier and fairer Brent since 1979. We’ve developed and run successful housing, employment, health, advice, wellbeing and self-advocacy services. During austerity and Covid we diversified, successfully taking on NHS work with people with long-term health conditions. We provide social prescribing support and health and wellbeing coaching to patients for Brent GPs. In 2024-25 we helped over 18000 people. Our income has substantially  increased from £382k in 19/20 to £1.71 million in 23-24. We’ve had to adapt quickly, developing and retaining a much larger staff group, using our data better and improving our marketing.

Brent Mencap offers fantastic free creative and wellbeing activities for people with a learning disability, autism and long-term health conditions. These have flourished since Covid. People love yoga, poetry, singing, gardening, Breathe and Move, self-advocacy, campaigning, awareness raising, CREATE art activities for young people, external trips and parties. Small grants, donations and our reserves fund this while we get longer term funding. Our self-advocates want us to focus on paid employment, youth services and making Brent Council use accessible information properly.

This role will be part of the finance system team acting as a finance system business expert, administering, supporting and developing Unit 4 ERP. The Diocese of Manchester has established the Places Project, which is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. We are looking to appoint a Children’s Worker, to work with the team on a range of innovative new initiatives for children and their families as well as helping existing ministries to grow and flourish.

The Children’s Worker will work with churches and primary schools to create worship and discipleship opportunities for children. As part of their role, the Children’s Worker will work as part of the wider Places Project team, with specific involvement in a Year 6 transition programme in primary schools.

The Children’s Worker will have many opportunities for training and development, as well as the creative freedom to launch new children’s initiatives. They will work within a highly motivated and supportive team, who are committed to prayer and to raising a generation of Jesus-followers.

The post holder should have some experience of children’s ministry and working or volunteering in a church and/or school context. To succeed, they need to be enthusiastic, relational, self-motivated and able to lead children in a variety of contexts.

Harris Hill are looking for a dedicated and creative Community Fundraiser (South) to join a wonderful charity based in London.

You will have the chance to make a direct impact by working with communities across parishes, schools, and other networks. This role involves building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, growing the charity base of active supporters, and generating vital funding through various initiatives.

Location: Working from home, covering the Dioceses of Portsmouth, Arundel & Brighton and Southwark

As a Community Fundraiser (South) you will:

• Promote the charity’s pastoral and spiritual work within local communities.
• Develop strong relationships with parishes, schools, and diocesan networks to increase engagement with the charity’s mission.
• Inspire people to make donations and raise funds to support the charity projects, including the sale of charity items and organising fundraising events.
• Recruit and support volunteers, as well as manage fundraising groups and initiatives across the region.
• Manage relationships with high value and legacy donors, ensuring their continued support and engagement.

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Previous experience in community fundraising or a related field is beneficial.
• A strong network of contacts within the diocesan community, schools, or special interest groups is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, public speaking abilities, and strong organisational capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media are essential.
• Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and take ownership of key projects, while also being a strong team player.

Salary: £30,000- £36,000 per annum

The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Internal Communications Professional to support a major organisational change programme at a higher education institution. This role is central to ensuring their colleagues are informed, engaged, and confident throughout a period of transformation.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and deliver clear, engaging internal communications that support change objectives.

· Work with stakeholders across faculties and departments to understand needs and create effective engagement plans.

· Produce high-quality content for a variety of channels, including intranet, newsletters, staff briefings, and events.

· Facilitate two-way dialogue by supporting feedback mechanisms, Q&A sessions, and leadership communications.

· Monitor communication impact through feedback and analytics, adjusting messages as needed.

· Ensure tone, style, and timing are appropriate for diverse audiences within the university community.

About You

· Proven experience in internal communications, with a strong track record in change communications.

· Experience in higher education or the public sector is advantageous.

· Exceptional writing skills.

· Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

· Skilled in using multiple communication channels effectively.

· Confident working independently in a fast-paced change environment.
