Digital Fundraising Manager (Maternity Cover)

A well-established national charity is seeking a Digital Fundraising Manager to lead its digital events and virtual fundraising programme during a 13-month maternity cover period. This is a part-time, fully home-based role within a supportive and collaborative team, offering the chance to make a real impact through online fundraising.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Mass Participation and Community Engagement, you will manage a team of three and oversee a calendar of digital fundraising events that collectively generate around £2 million annually. You will drive innovation across the programme, deliver paid social media campaigns, and ensure exceptional supporter journeys that build long-term engagement.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, balancing leadership, campaign planning, and optimisation of activity across Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across marketing, data, and design to ensure digital fundraising activity aligns with wider organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and development of the charity’s digital fundraising events programme.
• Manage and motivate a team of three, supporting their professional development.

We’re seeking someone who has the following skills:

• Direct experience of line managing a team of staff and providing team leadership

Brief role description

As part of the Marketing, Communication, Fundraising and Events Directorate, the Events Manager will work operationally across the charity, primarily delivering the OP ASCEND Employment Pathways series alongside other agreed key FEC events. About the Role

This is a dynamic and rewarding role at the heart of the Fundraising Team, where you’ll help generate over £1.4 million each year to keep the Youth Zone running. You’ll lead on writing compelling bids and funding proposals that unlock both unrestricted income and targeted project support – from mental health to employability to sports and creative programmes.

You’ll have access to a wealth of impact data, real stories, and a ready-made case for support – and you’ll be encouraged to bring your creativity, energy and ambition to every application. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead on identifying, writing, and submitting high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders, securing both unrestricted income and project-specific funding aligned with strategic priorities
• Develop compelling proposals that articulate the impact of the Youth Zone’s work, leveraging live data, case studies, and feedback from youth workers to bring applications to life
• Work collaboratively across departments to ensure funding needs are clearly understood and prioritised, maintaining regular communication with delivery leads to shape project bids that reflect current and emerging needs
• Build and manage relationships with funders, developing stewardship plans that include timely reporting, in-person or virtual engagement, and opportunities for funder visits to the Youth Zone
• Act as a passionate advocate for the Youth Zone, representing the charity at networking events, funder meetings, and promotional visits, and supporting the wider fundraising team on campaigns and events when needed.

About You

You will have experience of:

• Writing successful funding applications or proposals, ideally in the voluntary or public sector, securing four- and five-figure gifts from trusts, foundations, or statutory sources
• Managing a fundraising pipeline or prospect list, from initial research through to application and stewardship, using a CRM system such as Salesforce to track progress and outcomes
• Collaborating across teams, particularly with delivery, finance, or impact colleagues, to gather information and develop compelling bids grounded in real-world delivery
• Producing high-quality donor reports, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations through clear narrative, data, and case studies

As Head of Fundraising and Communications, you will hold a key leadership role at the heart of bemix. The ideal candidate will be proactive in their approach, qualified (or equivalent experience) in charity finance. Plain-English communicator who gets things done on time.

You will need:

· Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) or equivalent senior experience in charity finance.

· A strong track record delivering management and statutory accounts, budgets, forecasts and audits in a charity environment.

· Confidence with payroll, Gift Aid and VAT; skilled in Excel and modern finance systems

· Line-manage and support a capable Finance Assistant; work closely with our Head of Services, HR Officer and Maintenance Lead

· Evidence you’ve designed and run a whole-organisation compliance/assurance approach (calendars, owners, evidence, escalation) with on-time returns.

· Experience coordinating KPI dashboards and risk registers that drive action, not paperwork.

· Clear, plain-English communication with non-finance colleagues and Trustees; a calm, organised style; and a focus on getting the basics right on time, every time.

THE VACANCY

Deputy Regional Secretary – Asia Pacific

Location: Based in one of the ITF’s regional offices (Delhi, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo or Hong Kong) with regular international travel across the region.

About the Role

As the Deputy Regional Secretary, you will play a central role in shaping and executing the ITF’s mission across the Asia Pacific. You will work directly with the Regional Secretary to provide political, strategic, and operational leadership, ensuring our work is effective, impactful, and aligned with our global priorities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Supporting the development and implementation of the regional strategy and work programmes that empower transport workers and their unions.
• Political Analysis: Monitoring political and labour developments to inform the ITF’s strategic responses and campaigning priorities in the region.
• Building Power: Building and maintaining strong relationships with affiliated and prospective unions to grow our membership and strengthen the movement.
• Coordination & Governance: Supporting the work of our regional governance bodies, including elected Vice-Presidents and National Coordinating Committees.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establishing strategic relationships with donor organisations and external partners to secure resources and amplify our impact.
• Championing Equality: Ensuring the leadership of women, young workers, and marginalised groups is central to all our regional strategies and projects.
• Deputisation: Acting on behalf of the Regional Secretary when required, representing the ITF at high-level forums and meetings.

About you

The mission and values of the ITF are of utmost importance and as such, the successful candidate for this role must hold high ethical standards, displaying diligence and integrity when representing the organisation.

We are looking for a purpose-driven individual with significant experience of senior leadership within trade unions or social movements within the Asia Pacific region, including the development and implementation of key organisational strategies within a trade union or social movements context within the Asia Pacific region. This person must be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The role requires an excellent communicator who had the ability to work effectively to engage and motivate others. It also needs someone who can effectively build relationships, as well as display collaborative and influencing skills.

The Deputy Regional Secretary role for Asia Pacific will be expected to undertake regular international travel globally and in the Asia Pacific region and must be able to work flexibly including during out of office hours.

Carers Manchester is a partnership of Statutory and Voluntary Sector organisations who work together the plan, enhance and deliver advice and support services for unwaged carers in the city. Through working together, the Carers Manchester Pathway is in place, which supports carers being able to access the right advice and support at the right time in their caring journey. 

Gaddum plays a key role in managing the development of the Carers Manchester Pathway, in supporting a network of voluntary sector organisations, ensuring that the carers voice is heard in everything that we do and delivering a Carers Helpline.

Following the recent award of an extension to our current contract we are looking for an administrator to support us in managing a number of workstreams which will enhance the provision of services for unpaid carers in the city.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Amongst the core tasks in this role will be to: 

• Arrange and take minutes of a number of Carers Manchester meetings.
• Support the delivery of a number of projects and workstreams co-ordinated by Gaddum.
• Take responsibility for receiving and inputting data into databases and spreadsheets.
• Provide an initial point of contact for carers and professionals contacting our services.

You could be the person we are looking for if you have: 

• Excellent IT skills.
• Ability to collate and input data onto data management systems.
• Experience of working within an administration function.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
