Pro Bono Community is seeking a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us achieve greater access to justice.

Pro Bono Community is a registered charity that has developed specialised training programmes for students, trainees and lawyers covering the practical skills involved in delivering free legal advice and areas of social welfare law. In conjunction with the training, the charity arranges and manages volunteering placements at Law Centres and other advice agencies. The charity’s activities include a number of grant-funded projects which the coordinator will be heavily involved in.

We are looking for individuals to join our team who share our aims and mission and are driven to make them a reality.

About the role

Pro Bono Community is looking for a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us run programmes aimed at improving the amount and quality of access to justice by training law students and others and then placing them to work as volunteers at advice agencies.

The Training and Volunteer Coordinator will report to and work alongside the Director to undertake work supporting the charity’s activities with a focus on recruiting and training students and lawyers and then coordinating volunteering placements for them at Law Centres and advice agencies. The role also includes administrative work relating to a pioneering digital advice clinic the charity runs in conjunction with a Citizens Advice agency in London.

This is a full-time role with a salary of £30-33,000 depending on experience and the charity is seeking to appoint someone with knowledge of training and the legal/advice sectors and/or experience in a similar role. Occasional weekend work may be required. The role will involve working from home with some travel involved to London and elsewhere in support of the charity’s activities. The role includes annual leave of 25 days and a workplace pension scheme.

Responsibilities

Training and General Administration

· Producing and printing publicity and training materials

· Maintaining databases, content management systems, websites, social media and other tools

· Dealing with enquiries, including those made via the PBC mailbox and telephone line

· Organising the location and timetabling of training programmes

· Liaising with trainers and others to facilitate training

· Attending training programmes and assessments where necessary

· Keeping attendance records

· Monitoring development of the training content and facilitating discussions between stakeholders/authors

Volunteer coordination

· Arranging volunteer placements with advice agencies

· Designing and implementing rotas for volunteering

· Managing PBC’s online volunteer portal and volunteer activity logs

AMMF is the UK’s only charity solely dedicated to raising awareness of and funding research into cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). The charity works closely throughout the UK with clinicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, policy makers, patients and their carers, as well as actively collaborating across Europe and globally.

The role of the Executive Administrator is to manage an administrative workload. The right person will have previous experience of efficient office administration, be able to provide secretarial and administrative support, and to work both independently and as part of a team, and will report directly to the CEO.

It is expected the Executive Administrator will develop an understanding of AMMF’s aims and objectives and its policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Secretarial and administrative support: Dealing with correspondence in close collaboration with the CEO; preparation and distribution of papers for board meetings, minute taking and drafting.
• Managing AMMF’s network of clinical nurse specialists, including sending the charity’s booklets and information to them on request. 
• Developing and maintaining up-to-date appropriate inventories and records covering equipment leases, maintenance schedules, equipment allocations, suppliers, etc.
• Diary management and meeting organisation, internal and external, including booking meeting rooms.
• Keeping all records appropriately and in accordance with GDPR.
• Financial - supporting the CEO in the preparation of monthly/annual financial planning, and with other financial matters, as required
• Assisting in and attending the organisation of AMMF’s annual conference, and other events.
• Attending external AMMF networking, partner and fundraising events when required.
• Carrying out projects and/or tasks as required by the CEO.

Skills and attributes required

• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, with high standards of accuracy and clarity in written work.
• Highly IT literate, experienced and competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc) and with Zoom and other online meeting platforms.
• Excellent secretarial and administrative skills, including previous experience taking and drafting minutes.

Role overview

The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis is a key leadership role within the Finance Team at FILE, responsible for the financial planning cycle and management information, business partnering support across the organisation, and financial reporting to donors.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Lead the FP&A team at FILE, including setting team vision, annual team planning and objectives
• Lead annual planning process across income, granting plans and operational expenditure, developing innovative approaches
• Ensure robust quarterly forecasting process supports resource planning, strategic operational expenditure investment decisions and guides the allocation of unrestricted and flexible funding to highest impact
• Ensure prompt monthly Management Information, implementing reporting tools, dashboards and  automation where possible

What will I be doing?

What skills will I need?

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Youth Outreach Worker in London for a new role within our UK Safeguarding on Transport Programme. This is a 12-month outreach pilot engaging and safeguarding young people in and around Waterloo Station, helping identify and safeguard young people under 18 years at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation, county lines, missing from home, homelessness or family breakdown. This role does involve working regular unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.

The Role
