About the role
We’re looking for a Head of Lived Experience Insight to lead the strategic direction for lived experience across Shelter. Role specifics
As Head of Lived Experience Insight, you will lead the development and delivery of Shelter’s Lived Experience Insight strategy, working with senior leaders to embed lived experience across governance, planning and decision-making. You’ll manage and support a skilled team, ensuring high performance, wellbeing and development, while overseeing the quality and impact of Shelter’s lived experience programme. This includes managing budgets, delivering externally funded projects, and ensuring robust data and evaluation practices. You’ll build strong internal and external relationships, promote shared learning, and drive culture change, co-production and anti-racist practice across the organisation. You will also ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and continuous improvement are central to all aspects of the team’s work.

This role heads the Lived Experience Insight Team which sits within the Equity, Inclusion and Culture (EIC) Directorate.
The Lived Experience Insight team works across several different directorates and teams, to support the development of our approach to put lived experience at the heart of our fight for home.
We work collaboratively with people with lived experience, Shelter staff and key stakeholders. We help to deliver projects and activities which give people with lived experience the opportunity to influence and shape our work. This ranges from organisational governance and strategic decision making to local and national influencing, to staff recruitment.

About the role

This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running our yearly community donations drive.

- Previous fundraising, project or event coordination or marketing experience.

Context and purpose of role
At the heart of the Ramblers lies our community of over 100,000 members and supporters, enabling us to fulfil our charitable mission across the length and breadth of Great Britain.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of excellent supporter service, coaching and empowering the Member and Supporter Experience Officers to meet the needs of our supporters. You will play a key role in fostering a positive experience for supporters, managing relationships with third-party suppliers, and driving continuous improvements across processes and systems. As a key point of contact for internal teams, you will traffic-control workloads, ensure smooth project delivery, and act as a champion for supporters across the organisation.
We are looking for someone with experience in working in high in-bound volume (calls/emails) supporter or customer service environments. The candidate must have experience in handling multiple enquiries across different channels and ideally in coaching, mentoring or supervising others.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Coaching
- Manage the Member and Supporter Experience Officers, providing the skills and knowledge to deliver excellent supporter service through tailored training and coaching.
- Lead regular check-ins and team huddles to review progress, share updates, and address any challenges or blockers.
- Support the monitoring of quality and productivity using satisfaction ratings, and performance measures. Take remedying actions, such as further training or support.
- Co-ordinate key business project delivery within the team, liaising with other teams, coaching the team, and supporting delivery.
Supplier and Project Management
- Manage relationships with key suppliers, including our payment processor, and fulfilment centre. Be responsible for briefing them on new projects and setting up procedures.

Operational Oversight

- Support the team daily in answering incoming enquiries as part of the role.
- Develop and maintain a framework for monitoring the quality of supporter interactions across all touch points and teams through call monitoring, complaints and compliments reporting, surveys, mystery shopping, satisfaction feedback and other performance measures. Where needed, work with relevant managers in other teams to develop solutions.

The Community Energy Adviser will deliver energy support sessions in local communities, empowering individuals and families through workshops and one-to-one support. The focus will be on assisting those facing challenges with their energy needs by providing practical advice, support, and advocacy on energy conservation, switching providers, and accessing grants or benefits.

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.
The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.

The Community and Partnerships Lead is a varied, fast-paced and creative role, ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, building community, and proactively contributing to REUK’s growth and mission.
As part of the Operations Team - which empowers the effective delivery of our work with young refugees - you will need a practical, imaginative, and solutions-focused mindset, strong administrative and organisational skills, and an energetic, values-led and people-centred approach to your work.
The successful candidate will be the helpful and friendly first point of contact for all those engaging with REUK - from team members, young people and building users to supporters, partner organisations, and press. As the public relations lead and the Operation Team’s focal point, you’ll take an eager interest in the full scope and reach of REUK’s work so that you can resolve and triage enquiries, develop beneficial and positive connections, and deliver appropriate solutions and support.
You’ll play a key role in shaping the day-to-day experience of those who use The Lighthouse (REUK’s home in NW10). You will take joy in hosting people and facilitating events and will demonstrate a strong sense of ownership for ensuring that the building is a welcoming, well-functioning, and hospitable environment for staff, tenants, young people and visitors alike.
Alongside practical tasks like liaising with contractors, setting up spaces for different user groups and day-to-day troubleshooting, you’ll take a lead on business development - including by designing and implementing a marketing strategy, networking with multiple diverse communities, and managing venue bookings - to ensure that The Lighthouse is widely known and used to its full potential.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete a task in advance of final shortlisting for interviews (which will be held in London on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th August 2025) and references will be taken up prior to appointment.
