This is an exciting opportunity to lead our social media team and help strategically shape the role of paid and organic social across Family Action’s channels, including those under the Relate brand. You will manage a team of two Social Media Executives and drive brand awareness, income generation and service marketing whilst also providing strategic insight around wider external engagement activity. 

Main Responsibilities (for details check the job description and person specification):

• Lead on the development and delivery of paid and organic social media activity across both Family Action and Relate brands.

• Refine Family Action’s social media strategy in line with key brand, income generation and service marketing objectives 

• Work with the Head of Digital Marketing and Senior Social Media Executive to develop a paid social and sales strategy to drive purchases of services and toolkits from Relate

• Lead on the development and delivery of sophisticated Meta and LinkedIn ad campaigns at each stage of the donation/purchase funnel ie. awareness, interest, conversion

• Line manage a team of two Social Media Executives responsible for the day to day management of both Relate and Family Action channels, and supporting local services and retail shops with their use of social media.

• Extensive experience of strategically managing and developing social media channels for a large organisation/group/brand.

• Significant experience of developing successful paid social media campaigns for a range of business objectives including to drive income generation 

• Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to write powerfully and succinctly for different objectives, audiences and channels.

• Excellent creative skills and the ability to recognise effective imagery, and stock photography and video.

• Experience of line management and/or mentoring a junior member of the team.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Partnerships Manager to join our small and dynamic team. This new role will support the Head of Partnerships and wider WFN team in delivering our fundraising strategy, stewarding high-value donor relationships, and unlocking new opportunities for income growth. 

The Partnerships Manager will work directly with some of WFN’s existing portfolio of 30 Major Donors made up primarily of Trusts, Family Foundations and High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) supporters, with some Corporates. The role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Programmes Manager to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of our international programs. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with extensive programme management experience and a deep commitment to our mission.

About the role

As one of two Regional Programmes Manager, you’ll inspire and lead a team of Senior Programmes Officers and Kinship Family Workers to effectively deliver high quality support services for kinship families across Greater London, the South of England and the Midlands.

You’ll do this by working in close collaboration with local authority teams who have commissioned our services and other funders where appropriate.

You’ll have accountability and ownership for ensuring we deliver impactful services for kinship carers and that we meet targets for our commissioned services. Working collaboratively with our other managers in other services, you’ll ensure we’re delivering high impact programmes.

You’ll ensure your team have real clarity and direction on their role and responsibilities - encouraging curiosity, learning and solutions-focused thinking. As a leader in the organisation, you are a key model for the team.

Your team will deliver the following programmes:

• Kinship Connected – in-person one-to-one support and support groups in the community
• Kinship Reach – remote one-to-one support and virtual support groups
• Kinship Ready – online workshops to prepare new and prospective special guardians for their role, as well as wraparound one-to-one support (in one local authority)

You will also manage a new role of Grants Officer - London, funded by the Aviva Foundation.

As one of our deputy safeguarding leads, you’ll be part of our key safeguarding structure.  This means you’ll take ownership to make sure our people feel confident and well supported to demonstrate best practice and making sure safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of programmes, supporting mostly home-based Senior Programmes Workers and Kinship Family Workers to ensure high quality, consistent and impactful programme delivery.

• Meet performance targets as directed.

• Create and keep developing processes and systems which support consistency across all programmes, ensuring good quality documentation and manualisation on Notion.so

• Develop quality assurance frameworks with other service managers and directors.

• Support your team to establish and deliver in-person and virtual peer support groups regionally and generate engagement with kinship carers.

• Line management and supervision of Senior Programmes Workers and Kinship Family Workers as required.

• Actively encourage personal development and support staff to deliver key targets and outcomes and ensure high levels of wellbeing.

• Work with the Director of Services and Digital, Head of Programmes and the Business Development team to develop proposals and present to local authorities to secure commissions.

• Manage the delivery of commissioned contracts through collaborative relationships with local authorities, ensuring targets are met.

• Manage the programmes and services within budget, in accordance with Kinship’s financial procedures and ensure the reporting of progress in line with funder requirements.

• Work actively and positively with other managers within Kinship to ensure sharing of best practice, problem solving, relevant connections and consistency of delivery across England and Wales.

• Act as a deputy safeguarding lead at Kinship

Essential requirements include:

• Substantial experience in managing a regional service or programme with high quality outputs (national experience desirable but not essential).
• Substantial experience of managing, developing and evaluating effective and innovative services for families experiencing crisis and experience in reaching ‘hidden communities’ and a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
• Experience of leading and managing continuous improvement in changing contexts.
• Experience of governance and managing risk on high profile service delivery.
• Experience of ensuring that services are designed and led with user needs at the heart, ensuring that the voices of our kinship carers inform ongoing design and development of our programmes.
• High quality digital and data literacy and using technology to help us to be better in our processes. You’ll have to own Salesforce and be a massive champion for the team. You will be accountable for ensuring they use it well.
• Substantial experience of leading high-performing service teams including managing wellbeing, development and performance.

The Candidate
Proven track record of leading and implementing organisational or portfolio restructuring.
Experience in managing complex stakeholder environments, including negotiating and aligning interests.

Experience in reviewing and restructuring grant portfolios to align with strategic goals.
Knowledge and experience of funds/grants management and fundraising activities within the charity/health sector is desirable.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Association of Colleges (AoC) in a new position of Director – Workforce Policy and Services. As the national voice for further education (FE) colleges in England, AoC represents and supports member colleges with professional services, advocacy, and sector leadership. We are a not-for-profit organisation established by colleges, for colleges – supporting over 95% of the sector, transforming 2.2 million lives each year.

This senior leadership role will oversee the strategic direction and delivery of AoC’s workforce function – including directing FE workforce policy, industrial relations and pay, employment advice, recruitment, and consultancy. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive, the successful candidate will work collaboratively across the organisation and with key external stakeholders to promote and represent the employer interests of colleges across England.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in at least one area of the workforce remit, strategic insight, advocacy skills and a commitment to supporting colleges and their people. A deep understanding of the challenges facing the FE workforce and a collaborative, inclusive approach to leadership is essential. This is a varied and strategic role that combines leadership, sector advocacy, and operational oversight across FE employment and workforce priorities.

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis. There will be regular travel to AoC’s national office in London and across the country to attend meetings and represent the organisation. You will be responsible for the implementation and day to day project management of the individual giving programme across our existing and new fundraising products, including our regular giving F2F activity, tribute funds and appeals programme.  As part of a small individual giving team you will be working under the direction and authorisation of the Head of Individual Giving.

The Individual Giving team is responsible for income generation from individual supporters and members, using a range of direct marketing techniques via both online and offline channels. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of Mothers’ Union’s fundraising strategy as defined by the annual Individual Giving fundraising budget and plan.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.
