The Alderley Edge and Knutsford Circuit comprises five churches in Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Mobberley, Plumley and Mottram St Andrew

A key member of the Circuit Leadership Team (CLT), the prime responsibilities are to manage the Church properties within the circuit; provide financial support and reporting services appropriate to each Church and to manage and develop circuit communications. Additionally, the role will provide administrative and compliance support to the Circuit ministry team and Circuit Leadership team.

As a key member of the CLT, the job holder will play a full part in the development of the Circuit’s mission and ministry. Reporting to the Superintendent Minister, the role is full time, with flexibility over the pattern of hours worked.

Working in partnership with West Yorkshire & Harrogate Cancer Alliance (WYHCA), we aim to help reduce cancer rates through our Cancer SMART project, which raises awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer, so people are better informed, attend screening and know where to go for help.

Our Patient VIEW project is dedicated to representing the voices of patients, carers and service users, ensuring they are central to decision-making processes within cancer care.

We provide impartial and independent information and listen to those affected by cancer to ensure that they are supported.  We signpost to other charities and support groups, share information, recruit for research studies and share stories via our monthly newsletter.

As manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring we reach our goals, by building relationships with other charities, organisations and diverse groups, recruiting volunteers, working with our board of trustees, working in partnership with the WYHCA, and line management of our two staff members  – Patient VIEW coordinator (FT) and administrator (PT).

Location: Home based - the charity covers all of Yorkshire and the Humber but the main projects and focus are currently within West Yorkshire and Harrogate areas and the postholder will be expected to travel to meetings and events

Key Tasks

1. To engage, manage and supervise Cancer Champions for the delivery of the Cancer SMART  programme with collaboration between Yorkshire Cancer Community and West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance.

Responsibilities of the role comprise:
 
Campaign planning

• Lead the delivery of an ambitious and creative media and campaign strategy to bring about an improved recognition of the value and impact of youth work.
• Lead on other campaign strategy and planning, utilising a range of campaign tactics integrating media, digital media and other campaign tactics, working closely with other members of the Comms team and across Directorates.
• Oversee campaign activity for the annual Youth Work Week, to ensure the campaign engages key opinion formers and provides an opportunity for those within the sector to celebrate the impactful work they do.
• Analyse campaign effectiveness, including setting and tracking metrics across digital and traditional media.
• Ensure campaign plans are fully scoped and uploaded to the online project management system.
• Leading on strategic approaches to celebrity supporters / ambassadors and ongoing relationship management.

 
Press Office function

• Lead proactive media monitoring, enabling timely responses to significant developments and tracking positions on issues relating to NYA’s work.
• Develop key messages and positioning statements on issues in the youth sector and NYA’s activities, role and stance and promote consistency of messaging across NYA’s channels.
• Managing and responding to reactive media enquiries, providing statement and reactive ‘lines to take’, with the support of the Head of Communications
• Producing engaging content for various channels and audiences including press releases, blogs, opinion pieces and media briefings to elevate NYA’s profile and demonstrate our expertise and thought leadership.
• Managing the media monitoring and media database, nurturing relationships with target journalists, as well as online news outlets and thought leaders on key strategic issues.

About You
 
Essential competencies of the Campaigns and Media Manager:

• A self-starter brimming with creative ideas and proven experience of designing and executing high-impact campaigns that bring about a measurable change in knowledge, behaviour and / or policy.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, including political audiences, and confident in growing new relationships and leading meetings.

About the role:

The Business Support Officer role sits within the Professionalisation team at the Council which develops and manages a range of products including the development and management of the Council Standard, cyber security specialisms and professional titles. The team is also responsible for managing and supporting licensed bodies, developing the career framework, and implementing and managing processes for mapping to our Professional Titles.

The role is varied but primarily administrative with scope for the role holder to develop skills and experience in project management, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

· Support the Professionalisation team with the development, implementation and management of cyber security specialisms, mapping and business as usual requirements.

· Co-lead the Youth Advisory Panel with colleagues with support from the Project Manager – Careers & Skills as required.

· Organise and support the facilitation of panels, committees, webinars, and other events.

In partnership with senior leadership, the Media and Communications Manager will oversee the design and implementation of STOPAIDS' organisational-wide media and communications strategy that amplifies STOPAIDS’ impact and reputation across our key advocacy areas. We are seeking a driven and experienced manager to oversee the operational side of our Liverpool Centre. This is a pivotal role within the team which focuses on coordinating activity across the service to ensure the safe and effective delivery of our intervention.

The successful candidate will manage the day to day running of the James’ Place centre, with oversight from the Liverpool Head of Centre. You will manage the centre environment through both resource management and by influencing and driving local culture. The Centre Manager is responsible for line management of the Clinical Administrators and overseeing the processing of referrals to the service, ensuring men coming to James’ Place are welcomed warmly, within the expected timeframe and according to our values.

• Work with the Director of Income Generation to develop the annual budget, including leading on monthly performance reports and contributing to quarterly reforecasts and reporting against KPI’s and milestones.
• Undertake research and make use of tools to identify potential High Value partners.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Director of Income Generation, SLT and other teams to maximise high value fundraising opportunities.
• Where appropriate, you will involve Winston’s Wish senior staff and the Board of Trustees to make the most of opportunities to engage and build relationships with existing and potential supporters.

Person Specification

Essential

• A proven track record in high-value fundraising, including securing 6-7 figure donations from high-net-worth individuals, trusts, foundations, and businesses.
• Track record of converting cold prospects to planned gifts of 6-7 figures.
• Experience in effectively developing, managing and reporting complex income and expenditure budgets.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels and excellent written skills.
• Experience of successfully engaging trustees and/or senior volunteer committees to drive philanthropic income.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive and results-driven mindset.
• Experience of researching and prospecting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Highly professional, flexible and committed to achieve and exceed KPIs.
• Ability to manage projects and associated budgets.
