The role

You’ll manage a diverse caseload of young people affected by military life, specifically civilian children aged 16-24 of a serving or veteran parent/guardian. You’ll support by helping them overcome barriers, raise aspirations, and take confident steps into education, training, or work. This means:

• Mentoring young people 1:1 and in groups to build confidence, CVs, and life skills.
• Designing and delivering workshops that inspire and engage.
• Building partnerships with schools, youth services, and employers to generate referrals and opportunities.
• Keeping on track - managing your caseload, recording progress on our CRM, and meeting KPIs to show the difference you’re making.

About the Role

We’re recruiting a Service Manager to lead Norwood’s new Advice Triage Service (Open Front Door), a flagship access point for families, professionals, and community partners.  This is a key leadership role overseeing the service’s launch, growth and delivery, with responsibility for operational performance, stakeholder engagement and service innovation.

Your Day-to-Day

As Service Manager, you’ll:
• Establish and embed the Advice Triage (OFD) model for public launch in March 2026
• Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team including triage workers, referrals staff, and reception
• Develop triage protocols, safeguarding and referral procedures, and escalation frameworks
• Oversee inbound query management across all contact channels
• Coordinate internal and external referral pathways across Norwood and key partners
• Manage the design and population of an online service directory
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with schools, synagogues, charities and LA/NHS services
• Work with communication and engagement teams to promote the service
• Oversee the development and rollout of a CRM system

Qualifications, Training and Experience

Essential:

• Relevant degree in Social Work, Health, Education, or Management; And/or Leadership or project management qualification
• 3+ years’ experience in social care, education, or advice services
• Proven ability to lead services, manage teams, and deliver change
• Strong knowledge of referral systems across the voluntary and statutory sectors
• Sound safeguarding knowledge
• Excellent stakeholder, communication and CRM skills

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the Jewish community and culturally specific services
• Experience setting up a helpline, triage service or call centre
• Familiarity with neurodivergent support needs and transitions

Our client is one of the largest women's hostels in the UK for vulnerable women affected by homelessness. To be considered for this position, you must have significant housing management experience, as well as extensive knowledge and appreciation of the challenges faced by homeless women. You must have demonstrable experience of leading frontline staff, as well as significant safeguarding experience. You will also have proven working experience of contract monitoring and of setting and influencing strategy. We are seeking a dynamic Policy Officer to join our policy team, to support our lobbying and advocacy work, raise the profile of specialist FE with parliamentarians and represent the views of members. You will have a strong track record of securing high profile media coverage, ideally for a national charity dealing in disability, health or social issues. You will have a great news sense and the ability to develop strong relationships with journalists to confidently identify stories and make them work for different media outlets. You will have a flair for writing engaging copy, an eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to meeting deadlines. You can work at pace where needed and identify priorities and manage multiple projects. You will be used to briefing and supporting spokespeople to do media interviews and speaking opportunities. 

You will be proactive and a strong team player as this role will need to work closely with colleagues across the communications team and wider organisation. You will be able to take the lead in some areas and lend a hand in others. You will have great people skills and will be comfortable working with people from all walks of life, from your communications colleagues to our case studies to Directors and Board Members.

Your experience

• Expertise in media and PR. 
• A strategic thinker with excellent project management and communication skills. 
• Experience of working with journalists and media outlets, generating and securing strong relevant media coverage. 
• Excellent news sense with extensive experience of producing effective and quick reactive news lines for breaking stories. 
• The ability to develop excellent long-term media and PR strategies to deliver organisational objectives aligned to our vision. 
• Strong judgement and experience of crisis communications. 
• Excellent copy-writing skills and ability to influence. 
• Experience of line management. 
• Experience working in the non-profit or disability sector would be an advantage, but not essential.

We’re looking for a Social and Digital Media Creator to join our dynamic social media team!

You'll be a digital native, committed to delivering engaging, accessible and inclusive content to our audience of over 190,000 followers.

Day-to-day, you’ll plan and deliver social and paid media strategies to drive flagship marketing campaigns and daily channel activity. You’ll use insights to increase engagement, raise awareness, attract and retain supporters, and drive conversions against KPIs.

Leading social content production, you’ll be confident in creating videos and graphics. You’ll proactively drive our UGC (user generated content) media, building strong relationships with external community voices to co-produce community-focused videos.

The role also involves planning, writing, building, and sending emails to key audiences using our DotDigital email service provider.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the Society to help deliver an ambitious programme of digital campaigns.

This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and will join our Team Together Days in a co-working space in London a min of 1 a month, up to a max of 3 per month. As Major Donor Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth supporters, securing and stewarding five and six figure multi-year commitments. You will develop new donor relationships, expand existing ones, and deliver compelling cases for support across priority projects. The postholder will line manage the Major Donor Assistant, while working closely with colleagues across the organisation to create opportunities, inspire investment, and deliver against ambitious income targets.

To succeed, you will bring proven experience in major donor fundraising with a track record of securing significant donations from high value donors for a variety of projects. You will have excellent relationship management skills, confidence in making asks, and the ability to use data-driven insights to shape cultivation strategies. Strong communication, research, and writing skills are essential, alongside the ability to plan effectively and navigate complex organisations.

Salary: £37,596 to £43,021 (pay band 06)
