This is a newly created role and there is a great deal of untapped potential here for a proactive leader to support the CEO and SLT to create efficiencies in how we manage our internal infrastructure (IT Systems and processes), Finance and charity Governance, and HR/people to ensure we maintain and develop a thriving and nurturing working environment. The individual will have significant involvement in the strategic vision of the organisation as a whole. With a broad portfolio, the role combines both operational and strategic elements and must be able to flex up and down accordingly. 

The Healthy Ageing Project will address specific challenges within the community, while actively promoting healthy ageing in practical and effective ways across our network.

We will focus on the strengths and expertise of our member groups to promote engagement with Ireland's unique music, dance, sport, language and culture.

We will work together with our members throughout this three-year journey. Together, we will develop, launch and promote a project geared towards improving health and wellbeing, reducing health inequality and providing strategic direction for national health programmes and policy recommendations for the Irish community.

This post is part time (17.5 hours per week) and will be based in the North of England, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester etc.

We are seeking a Payroll & Finance Administrator to assist the Executive Director: Finance and Resources with completing administration and payroll tasks to ensure a smooth running Finance Team.

You will administer aspects of donations and income, post donations received into our CRM system liaising with the Director of Fundraising, conduct Gift Aid claims, generate reports and utilise the CDS system to ensure all data is correctly entered and support given to all administrators.

You will administer the payroll and receipt system. Additionally, you will reconcile all costs, generate invoices and check that timesheets, holidays and absence are recorded correctly. This role requires you to work Monday to Friday but you must be willing to be flexible as and when required.

You must have a minimum of five A*-C GCSE passes, including Mathematics and English (or equivalent). Additionally, good IT skills, especially in Excel and administrative, recording and reporting skills are essential for this role.

In October 2022 Salford City Council commissioned Salford CVS to undertake research into the strengths of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector as part of their Joint Needs and Strengths Assessment.

Every three years since 2008, Salford CVS leads on State of the VCSE Sector research in Salford and also across Greater Manchester. Working with other local infrastructure organisations, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the VCSE sector. Our last research report was published in 2021 and we have started planning for the research to be conducted this year.

In August 2023 we further developed our VCSE sector research and insight work with the commencement of our Salford 99 longitudinal study. This research project is designed to understand the issues affecting the VCSE sector in Salford and aims to track 99 VCSE organisations every six months for a three-year period, so that we gain ‘live’ insight in between our three-yearly State of the VCSE sector large research project. Alongside this work we conduct a Pulse Check survey with a variety of VCSE organisations to get a snapshot of what is changing for them each quarter.

This exciting VCS Research and Insight role involves a combination of VCSE engagement and insight work across Salford.

About the role.

As Head of Fundraising and a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll work closely with the CEO to devise the organisation’s fundraising strategy as they enter a positive and ambitious new five-year plan.

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. Job Purpose:

WomenMATTA delivers support services to women in Manchester and Trafford who are in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system. This includes one to one advice, advocacy, practical and emotional support, and group interventions.

This position will provide strategic oversight and operational management to all WomenMATTA services delivered through hubs across multiple sites in Manchester and Trafford, ensuring quality standards are consistently met, staff are effectively managed, partnerships are established and maintained, and budgets are appropriately managed.

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Lead on the operational management and strategic oversight of WomenMATTA; ensuring high quality, trauma informed, and gender responsive services are delivered to vulnerable and marginalized women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with, the criminal justice system.
2. Provide effective leadership to the WomenMATTA team, fostering a positive and supportive culture.
3. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.
4. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders, such as the Probation and local authority leads to ensure effective service delivery.

The Head of Scotland and Northern Ireland is responsible for leading our vision to end the need for food banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Scotland currently leads the way in having a rights-based, progressive agenda to ending the need for food banks, but there is much to do to ensure political intentions become a reality. This role directs Trussell Trust’s policy and public affairs work in Scotland and Northern Ireland, leads our Scotland and Northern Ireland department as they support our network of food banks and works strategically with key partners to tackle the underlying reasons why people need to come to food banks.

• Lead the delivery of the Trussell Trust strategy for ending the need for food banks in Scotland and Northern Ireland, working to embed the Changing Communities, Changing Minds and Changing Policy programmes across the network, including through providing strategic support for the effective delivery of the Pathfinder, FI and organising programmes in Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

• Work with key partners to direct Trussell Trust’s policy and public affairs and work with the Scottish government and local authorities across Scotland.

Programme Manager

We are looking for an experienced programme manager to lead an established Inclusive and Nurturing Schools (INS) programme to implement nurturing education across seven boroughs in London, commissioned by the London Violence Reduction Unit.

You will be working closely with our Head of Legal & Company Secretary and lead on complex, challenging and meaningful projects worldwide. You will be a qualified solicitor, barrister or paralegal with post qualification legal experience gained in house or in a proactive private practice environment that you will utilise to help the charity to boost its income, including through a newly established trading subsidiary, and to support young people through programmes delivered in over 18 countries.

Proactive and solutions-focused, your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build effective trusted relationships and influence at all levels. You will need to be well-versed in most areas of charity and commercial law, adept at providing legal advice and assistance and able to undertake company secretarial and legal compliance matters. Flexible, you will be able quickly to expand your knowledge and experience in new areas as part of an ambitious and agile team. In addition, your excellent planning and organisation skills will enable you to prioritise and multitask as you work at the heart of the organisation’s governance, improving processes and achieving positive change.
