The Fixery Workshop Officer supports the daily operations of the Fixery and supporting in its promotion and development. ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust as our new Project Manager - National Cycle Network, working within the Delivery Team to lead the successful delivery of active travel infrastructure projects.
We are looking for someone with exceptional project management skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. While some technical knowledge of active travel is important, the focus of this role is on leading complex projects, coordinating teams, and driving collaboration to achieve sustainable, high-quality outcomes.
As Project Manager - National Cycle Network (Network Development Manager), you will oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of projects that enhance the National Cycle Network (NCN) and related infrastructure. - Experience contributing to long-term planning and vision-setting and working collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams.

Job Title: Regional Coordinator – North West (Inspiring the Future)
Reports to: Senior Project Manager - Primary Futures
Location: Home based with regular travel across the North West region with a primary focus on Chester, Cheshire West and a secondary focus on Northwest Lancashire. Very occasional travel to London where the charity itself is based. Travel costs will be remunerated via expenses.
Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a newly created post in the role of Regional Coordinator – North West for Education and Employers Charity; supporting the delivery of our internationally recognised flagship career-related learning programme in schools. The programme is called Inspiring the Future and is known as Primary Futures in primary schools.
Through our programmes, we bring inspiring volunteers from the world of work into schools, helping children learn in a fun way about a wide range of future jobs and career pathways, broadening their horizons and raising their aspirations and attainment. School activity sits at the heart of our charity’s mission which is to: ‘ensure that every young person in our country, wherever they live, whatever their parents or carers’ circumstances, has the opportunity to meet a diverse range of volunteers to hear first-hand about jobs and the world of work’.
This important role will be part of a friendly and supportive ‘Schools Team’, and the post has responsibility for supporting the local northwest delivery of a key primary school focussed project for the charity, funded by the Westminster Foundation. Responsibilities include initiating, developing, and managing relationships with primary schools in Chester, Cheshire West and Northwest Lancashire.
The role will include working closely day to day with local teachers/ schools to organise and deliver an exciting range of virtual and face-to-face events and activities in their schools. The role will also require the postholder to initiate and build positive partnerships with local employers and organisations to recruit and engage more inspiring volunteers to support these activities in schools.
Remuneration: £26-28k per annum depending on experience

Job Purpose:

This is a newly created role to support delivery of an exciting multi-year project, kindly funded by the Westminster Foundation as part of our Primary Futures programme. The postholder will draw upon our revolutionary online platform that helps connect schools with a huge range of diverse, inspirational volunteers that have registered with our charity and who come from a wide range of exciting sectors of the economy. You will have the chance to engage directly with primary school children by facilitating interactive virtual and in-person activities with volunteers. While experience of working in or with schools may be an advantage, it is not essential.
The role will be home based with regular travel to nominated primary schools within the allocated region and very occasional meetings at the charity’s office in central London. Working with schools, the successful candidate will be responsible for targets within their region, managing the relationship with schools and volunteers/ employers.
The role, will by its nature, involve extensive travel across the region with a primary focus on Chester and Cheshire West and a secondary focus on North West Lancashire. Therefore, access to a car/public transport is essential. Relationship building – The job holder will need to build positive relationships
- Re-engage with primary schools who have previously worked with us under a forerunner project that was undertaken last year
- Identify and initiate relationships with new target schools across the identified regions of Chester, Cheshire West and Northwest Lancashire in relation to the Westminster Foundation project
- Develop and manage these school relationships over the lifetime of the project, coordinating their day-to-day engagement in our career related learning (CRL) sessions and deepening their connection to the charity’s work
- Organise virtual and face-to-face activities including school liaison, securing volunteers via the Inspiring the Future system and host on tech platforms (Zoom, MS Teams etc)
- Work with the Primary Futures Manager to build relationships and to capture and exchange good practice between schools and teaching professionals, from all areas involved in the project
- Build relationships with the charity’s partnerships team to ensure that contacts and volunteers from the wider work of the charity are harnessed to support the Westminster Foundation funded project where possible
Delivery – the job holder will need to present/facilitate sessions to local schools and stakeholders
- Plan and arrange all logistics for the events that the postholder will deliver directly with schools. These will be both virtual and in person delivered in school settings
- Facilitate interactive virtual and face-to-face activities to connect pupils with volunteers through themed sessions, Q&A or job guessing-game format.
- Support and host teacher training sessions, staff meetings and info webinars to promote Inspiring the Future and encourage engagement and independent usage of the platform.
- Identify and connect with local employers, engaging the support of their organisation and staff, to secure and encourage local volunteers to help deliver CRL activities within funded projects.
Resource development, technology, data and reporting – the jobholder will need to use our technology, gather impact data on our behalf, develop resources, and make improvement suggestions
- Track and report back to the Primary Futures Manager, delivery against agreed targets and impact. This could include gathering baseline and impact data like pupil/ teacher surveys, feedback quotes, and photos of our activities (permissions to be obtained from the schools).
- Use Salesforce CRM to support with data management, assisting with maintaining up to date records and supporting data cleansing as needed
- Support the development of educational resources for teachers and pupils that provide insight into the world of work and different sectors
- Other ad hoc administrative tasks to support successful delivery of the project whilst always having a positive focus on improvements and ‘how can we do things better’.
- Promote Education and Employers wider offer and programmes as appropriate across the wider North West region. This would include our pilot project with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to inspire young people to consider future careers in local media
Person specification:
We are looking for someone with the following Skills/ Knowledge/ Expertise

- Minimum two years’ experience in a relationship management, school engagement, or school-based role. Other relevant experience will be considered if it demonstrates the candidate can undertake the accountabilities above
- Experience in successful relationship management – ability to engage confidently and sensitively with schools/colleges and employers and at a range of levels of seniority up to and including headteacher level
- Outstanding customer service and telephone manner, including handling large volumes of email enquiries and dealing with difficult situations politely and assertively
- Strong organisational and administrative skills including close attention to detail and effective time management

As part of a small charity team, the Fundraising Lead will play a key role in generating income to support our mission. About the Project:
From Past to Present is an oral history project which will collect and share personal stories of people with learning disabilities and the professionals who worked with them in Kent, focusing on how support surrounding relationships and sexuality have changed in the past four decades. The project will train social care staff to become oral history interviewers, record interviews, and share this heritage through a public exhibition, events and a professional creative performance. The project is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and delivered in partnership with a range of local organisations.
About the role:
We are looking for a proactive and organised Project Manager to lead the From Past to Present project on a fixed term contract (22 months). This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate an inclusive oral history project that brings together multiple partners and celebrates the stories of people with learning disabilities.
You will oversee timelines, budgets, and outputs, making sure everything runs smoothly and meets funder expectations. You will manage a small team, work closely with partners, and ensure that all materials, from the website to public events, are clear, accessible, and reflect the values at the heart of the project.
This role is perfect for someone with strong project management skills, knowledge of social care, and experience working with people with learning disabilities. A background in research, or community projects would be an advantage.
Hours:
This is a part-time role, 22.5 hours per week, with flexible working arrangements. Some evening or weekend work may be needed for events, but we will always plan ahead and support you to balance your time.
Location:
Hybrid working is available. You will work from your home in Kent and attend in person activities at locations including Maidstone and Canterbury. Travel across Kent will be part of the role and therefore a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable.

Community Project Lead

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of SEND law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Project Lead to join our team and lead the development of our advice services for under-served communities. This two-year, fixed-term role is a key part of our strategy to reach groups who may not traditionally engage with IPSEA’s support - including children and families with English as an additional language, cared-for children (children in care), migrant children, detained children, and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.
The project builds on a detailed scoping exercise we’ve recently completed, which involved working closely with a wide range of charities and organisations that support these communities. The resulting report outlines the barriers they face, and will form the foundation for this project and directly inform the work you will lead.

Building Tomorrow – Neighbourhood Housing Project Lead
Oasis exists to build stronger communities where there is no one left out. Building Tomorrow is an innovative new neighbourhood housing programme that Oasis is developing in Sheffield and Scunthorpe.
We are pioneering a new community-led solution to housing challenges in two communities where Oasis already works, running five schools and two community Hubs. We are working to develop quality housing that offers opportunity for families to find a stable and supportive place of belonging in community.
The programme will combine quality housing, excellent education (provided through Oasis academies), and community wrap-around support (delivered through our existing youth and community teams). This programme is designed to offer a preventative approach to housing challenges, acting as a proof of concept that can be replicated in other communities around the country.
This role will act as the central point of coordination which will ensure Building Tomorrow moves successfully from initiation to full activation over the initial 18-month period. In the activation period, we will purchase and refurbish the 20 properties, and this role will work in close coordination with our property consultants. As properties are purchased, we will begin to move into the delivery phase, where we start to house families.

What will you do?
The key areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:
· To act as the main link between all stakeholders: the Oasis teams including academies; contractors; and any community partners. To make sure everyone is communicating effectively and working toward the same goal.
· To work in close collaboration with Oasis Community Leaders in Sheffield and Scunthorpe. To support the Community Leaders and wider community teams to welcome families by acting as a key part of the community support offer through the 18-month activation phase.
· To own the 18-month master plan. This will involve tracking progress, analysing potential delays, and proactively solving problems so the activation stays on time and on budget.
· To focus on transitioning the housing element from a period of acquisition and refurbishment into functioning homes. This includes everything from smooth resident move-ins to ensuring the community support is fully accessible.
· To work alongside colleagues in the Operations Group to design operational processes including the community support offer, housing management systems, and tenancy arrangements.
· To help the team set clear, achievable goals for the activation period and then track whether those goals are being met, providing regular, honest updates to all stakeholders.
· To support the Group CEO in liaising with our social investor.

We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic senior social worker to lead, deliver and develop our SAFE Project, a pan-London project dedicated to providing advocacy support for stalking victims aged 11-16 (or up to age 25 with particular vulnerabilities), funded by Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC). DataKind UK is a small infrastructure charity with a vision of a strong, thriving third sector that embraces data science to become more impactful. Effective data use has the potential to transform an organisation's impact by improving decision-making, maximising operational efficiency, and ensuring service delivery is evidence-based. A lack of access to responsible data science skills and techniques in the third sector means it isn’t having the impact it could.
We provide a variety of free and contracted support services to help third sector organisations achieve their missions, encourage innovation, and improve decision making, problem solving, and practices.
Since 2013, more than 2,200 DataKind UK volunteers have supported over 300 charities—from large organisations like St John Ambulance and Action for Children to local food banks and campaigning charities—helping them better understand their users, evaluate what's working, streamline routine tasks, and ultimately better tackle society's biggest challenges.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an experienced, people-oriented project manager who is excited to help us deliver and scale innovative data programmes. You will work directly with organisations from across the third sector to understand their missions and translate their challenges into well-scoped projects. You will also support teams of volunteer data experts to scope projects and deliver impactful data science solutions.
You don't need to write code or run analysis yourself, but you should be comfortable working alongside technical experts, asking the right questions to scope data projects, and translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll need to hold conversations with data scientists about what's feasible, help charity partners understand what's possible with their data, and know when to bring in additional technical expertise.
If you don’t have all the experience and skills listed below, please still consider applying. We don’t expect a candidate to have 100% of these, but we do want to know that you have relevant experience and an appetite to learn in other areas.
Essential skills and experience
- Project management: You are a skilled project manager, successfully leading projects involving multiple stakeholders from conception to completion. You have experience managing multiple projects at once and can successfully prioritise and juggle competing demands. You can plan ahead, allocate resources, identify and mitigate risks, and bring in additional expertise as required.
- Scoping and needs assessment: You have experience collaborating with clients/stakeholders to assess their challenges, translate them into project plans, evaluate their feasibility, and create delivery plans.
- Volunteer and/or people management: Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, or managing volunteers or managing people over whom you do not have direct authority (eg. contractors/freelancers). Comfortable leading multi-skilled teams in a remote-first environment, fostering collaboration within newly established groups.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong active listening skills. You have experience being the main liaison for a project or programme, providing regular updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’re not afraid to ask clarifying questions in areas that are new to you. You are skilled at distilling the key insights or next steps in project meetings to ensure clarity on the big picture and details.
Desirable
- Experience managing or delivering data-related or social tech projects.
- Experience volunteering or working with volunteers.
- Familiarity with CRMs and/or project management software.
- Experience working or volunteering in the UK nonprofit/charity sector.
- Knowledge of the UK nonprofit/charity landscape and common digital, data, or tech challenges facing third sector organisations.
- Understanding of privacy, ethics, or responsible data and AI.
- Experience with impact measurement or evaluation frameworks.

Working hours and location
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week); however we will consider part-time options (28 or 32 hours per week) for a strong candidate. Working hours are flexible, but we ask that 75% of working time is within the hours of 10am and 6pm, to facilitate team working and real-time collaboration.
The role requires regular out-of-hours commitments - roughly one weekend per quarter and 2-4 evenings per month for volunteer events. This work is part of, rather than additional to, your hours, and you must take time off in lieu for any extra working hours.
Our organisation is remote-first, and this role is hybrid, with access to London office space on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and quarterly in-person commitments in London. We have a preference for candidates able to work from our office space in London at least one day per week. There may be occasional national travel within the UK for other events and conferences, with reasonable expenses covered.
You must have the right to work in the UK.
