We are seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Project Manager to help us design and deliver an exciting outdoor mental health project that will benefit our local community in significant ways. You will create a natural, nurturing, calm outdoor space to bring people together to support their wellbeing.
Initially you will work from home or with office space available at Bessels Green Baptist Church and will need to travel regularly to meetings and the garden site. Once launched, the role will require attendance at the garden several days per week.
Key Responsibilities
· You will build upon the findings of the Community Mental Health Scoping Exercise to develop a comprehensive project plan to launch the garden in the first half of 2026 – having designed the space in conjunction with the local community and experts who have related experience.
· You will promote the garden and its activities to potential beneficiaries and partners, establishing a marketing and communications strategy and building relationships with community leaders and stakeholder groups.
· You will create a programme of activities to support wellbeing and mental health, design effective ways to monitor and evaluate impact and ensure constant learning and improvement as the project develops.
- You will create a welcoming, positive, and inclusive environment where people from any background will feel valued and supported.
- You will develop the operations of the garden with volunteers and partners, taking responsibility for its maintenance, promoting health and safety standards and ensuring that volunteers have the tools, equipment and workwear to work safely and comfortably.

Essential Requirements
- Educated to degree level or higher, or with equivalent work experience.
- A demonstrable experience of managing and launching complex projects of a similar nature and the ability to manage an outdoor space.
- A passion for working outdoors and awareness of the benefits to people's wellbeing of being outside in nature
- Practical experience of working alongside mental health services.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and demonstrable competence in IT, data management and data protection.
- Strong budgetary and financial management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player who works collaboratively and takes a people oriented inclusive approach.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills - equally confidently with senior leaders, partners and service users

The position is a dual role. You’ll join as one of three dedicated Youth Workers and will lead on a portion of Free to Be Kids’ year-round follow-on support for vulnerable young people who we have already engaged via our Thrive Outside residentials. Crucially, a core aspect of the role will be leading an average of 8-10 of our residential projects across each year - working on the ground with the children, leading the volunteers, and helping make the projects special, safe, and transformative for vulnerable young people, many of whom have complex needs. Attendance at approximately 8-10 five-six night residential projects per year outside London is a core component of this role. A full driving licence is not required but may be an advantage.

Salary: Circa £29,000-£32,000, dependent on experience.
Hours: Fulltime: 37.5 hours per week. Essential attendance on at c.8-10 residential projects a year.

Our next Youth Work hero. You'll be fun, active, energised, resilient, and experienced in work with young people with complex needs, and looking to join an organisation you can believe in and who in return will believe and invest in you.
You’ll have multi years’ experience working alongside young people who might struggle in other settings and will be used to dealing with a range of behaviours and complex support needs, ideally including mental health support needs,with a good understanding of safeguarding. A basic level of comfortableness in the outdoors, resilience to keep going with a smile when it's wet outside, and the silliness to be the first to jump into the lake will see you in good stead for this role.
You’ll have the flexibility to work away from home on up to 10 week-long residential projects per year. Ideally, you’ll also have experience of leading projects for children – whether residential or non-residential. We're looking for a Supported Housing and Contracts Officer to join our dedicated team in Wembley.
This is a permanent full time (37 hours a week) role where you'll be in the office two days a week and working remotely for the other three.
The starting salary is circa £32,000 - £40,000 per year depending on your experience.
The Role
As a Supported Housing and Contracts Officer you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of our supported housing schemes, both leased and directly managed.
You will be the main contact for our managing agents, ensuring that they meet their contractual obligations. You'll coordinate the completion of escalated maintenance works, planned maintenance programmes and recommend improvements and adaptations to projects.
In your directly managed properties you will be responsible for rent and housing duties and carrying our weekly fire panel inspections.
What we'll need from you:
Our Supported Housing and Contracts Officers need a background in housing, this can be general or supported housing. You will also need to be a great communicator with experience in building relationships with both external and internal customers.
You'll be logging and monitoring enquiries and complaints as well as managing the teams databases, so will need excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and have experience working with different systems.

More about the role
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Solutions and working closely with colleagues and strategic partners, you will be instrumental in improving the accessibility, availability, performance and security of our CRM products. You will take ownership of project objectives agreed by the Project Steering Group and provide clear vision, leadership and direction to the project team throughout the programme lifecycle. This will include planning, monitoring and evaluating work, taking responsibility for performance and ensuring that any required improvements are identified and delivered.
You will ensure projects are effectively controlled through strong project planning, scope management, resourcing and financial oversight. A key part of the role will involve producing timely, accurate reporting and escalating progress, risks and issues to senior stakeholders within the project governance structure. You will coordinate and organise project and organisational resources, build strong working relationships across departments and geographies, and confidently manage changing goals and requirements, responding proactively to both challenges and opportunities as they arise.
Collaboration will be central to your success, as you engage positively with initiative leads, subject matter experts, delivery partners, the CRM Steering Group, CRM Leads and the CRM Process Change Analyst. You will also act as a champion for positive organisational change through the Central Platform programme.
About you
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, working to time, budget and specification constraints.
- Thorough understanding of risk management.
- Considerable experience working in CRM implementations, emerging Microsoft CRM technologies and best practice.
Although not essential, it would be great if you had;
- Prince 2 Practitioner, Agile PM or PMP certification.
- Understanding of website integration and digital marketing.
- Background in systems support, database management or MI reporting.

About the role
We are currently looking for a Volunteer Support Manager to join our innovative Young People, Volunteer and Business Support Directorate. You will manage the Volunteer Support Team and develop and maintain efficient volunteering systems used by our volunteers. This is a key role focussed on supporting the charity’s volunteering strategy and championing best practice in volunteering.
This is an exciting time to join the Sea Cadets with the opportunity to make a real difference to the way volunteers are supported and recognised. Responsibilities

- To work with Volunteer Support Officers to develop systems and processes for managing the volunteer support workload and monitoring delivery standards

- To manage the Volunteer Support elements of the Training and Admin website ensuring that the information is relevant, accurate and up to date
Requirements
- Experience of managing and motivating a large team

Our impact as a charity depends on excellent financial management and the efficient provision of supporting operational structures, policies and ways of working. As the organisation grows and diversifies, we need a dedicated Chief Financial and Operations Officer to lead the management and development of these critical functions in close liaison with the CEO. The CFOO will be second in command to the CEO and a key member of the Management Team.

Our team has grown from just one to a team which will number 20 at the time of the successful CFOO candidate joining. This growth to date and planned future growth requires constant evolution of our financial and operational infrastructure and an experienced hand to guide this process, which is the core purpose of the CFOO role we are seeking to appoint.
We are excited to be hiring for this role, which will be transformational for the organisation, allowing us to develop our approach to financial and operational matters and support the continued growth of our team and impact. The role will act as second in command and will deputise for the CEO when absent. We are therefore looking for a highly capable and experienced finance and operations leader with the vision to ensure that we continue to grow in a sustainable, effective and efficient way.
We currently have a full-time manager and officer in our Finance and Operations team (F&O Team), which the CFOO will be joining to oversee, develop and guide all relevant functions. With the small size of the team at this time, the CFOO will be expected to jump into the detail in some areas. In the short term this will include delivering some of the more complex areas of the F&O team’s work, such as the audit process, multi-year financial planning and legal compliance, with support from other team members and external advisers as appropriate. If we continue to succeed in delivering our growth strategy, the role will progress over the medium term with increasing team size/supervisory duties and reducing involvement in immediate implementation. Remuneration would also increase in line with growth and assuming strong performance in the role.
