Using your quality improvement expertise to support health & care professionals with projects and programmes, equipping them with the latest tools, resources, evidence and data to develop and improve services for people with Parkinson’s. 

You’ll support the development of a vibrant regional network, working in collaboration with the Professional Engagement team and the regional clinical leads. You’ll also work with health and care professionals and Parkinson’s UK colleagues to respond to any threats to Parkinson's services and effect positive change.

This position is part time, working 28 hours per week and will cover the North East of England and Yorkshire regions.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the Chelsea Pensioners (known as In-Pensioners). The Tenancy & Contributions Officer will lead on the delivery and continuing evolution of the tenancy agreement (known as the In-Pensioner Agreement). Part of the delivery of the agreement will be coordinating the process of setting and reviewing In-Pensioner’s personal financial contribution to the Royal Hospital. About the role

Our Green Space for Health programme helps to realise the value of green space for physical and mental health, both at healthcare sites and in the wider community. Our flagship project, the NHS Forest, promotes tree planting and woodland creation at NHS sites, supporting and encouraging sites to plant and maintain trees through offering free trees and advice. The Green Space for Health Director will oversee the development of the NHS Forest and other Green Space for Health projects, delivering the programme strategy. About the role:

Advance delivers nationally accredited, quality marked services in Hammersmith & Fulham, Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea. We work within a coordinated partnership response to violence against women and girls in these three boroughs as part of the Angelou Partnership, within the partnership Advance provides independent domestic violence advocacy and support for women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse.

About You: 

To be successful as the Young Persons Advocate you will need the below experience and skills: 

The post holder will have proven experience of working with children and young people and may have a background in youth work. They will have an excellent understanding of violence against women and girls, risk management and of best practice within the young people’s sector. As an experienced youth worker who has worked with young women and girls with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety and support planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.

Experience of direct work with young women and girls who have experienced abuse, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

The post holder will help to champion and manage the PAPYRUS brand and support the delivery of our projects and services through developing engaging and targeted content. They will act as the day-to-day lead on our social media planning and scheduling, as well as blog writing and storytelling.

What you will do:

Lead on the PAPYRUS social media planning and scheduling, utilising a social media management suite such as Hootsuite, or similar.

Support the day to day running of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and YouTube), using these to promote our services, increase brand awareness and drive engagement with our audiences;

Lead on maintaining and creating content for the PAPYRUS website and blog, collating stories from people with lived experience of suicide, as well as other charity staff and stakeholders.

Develop the charity’s online presence by exploring new opportunities and channels to appeal to different audiences;

Produce creative designs and artwork for print and digital requirements, utilising in-house design tools and software (including Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva);

To be successful in this role you will have:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Social media marketing campaign experience

A natural flair for storytelling, with the ability to create compelling, informative written content promoting the voices of lived experience.

Good project management skills and ability to manage reactive and planned work

Salary: £29,269 per annum (Scale SCP 18) progressing by increments to £32,076 per annum (Scale SCP 23) If based in the London office, you will receive an additional cost of living allowance of £5,000 per annum.

Hours: 36 hours per week  Location: Warrington, London, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff, Belfast, or Glasgow (with hybrid working)

Contract: Fixed term contract for 12 months

The post-holder will also deliver training on welfare benefits to other organisations and their helpline staff. You will provide a person-centred information, advice, and casework to disabled people with complex needs on cost-of-living support, welfare benefits and to access small grants.

As the lead welfare benefits worker within the organisation, you will work with relevant staff and organisations to provide an accessible welfare benefits service, across the borough, with flexible hours and access routes to meet the needs of the client base i.e., internet, phone, email.

Working with the User Involvement Officer, you will ensure the service is user-led and people with complex needs are supported to be involved in the development of the project.
