Support Worker Responsibilities:
· Prompting/Support with personal care and dressing (which could include assistance with intimate personal care).
· Support with light household duties, including laundry, shopping and cleaning, meal preparation.

· Accompanying to medical appointments if needed.
· General companionship.
Support Worker Requirements:
They do not ask for any formal qualifications or experience of working in care before, although having previous experience in a similar role would be desirable.
This role requires working with vulnerable individuals as well as delivering personal care and support. Your employment will therefore be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks including references and an Enhanced Disclosure & Baring Service Check.

Victim Support is looking to recruit a night shift victim focussed telephone support worker for their busy National inbound call centre based in St Mellons, Wales.
Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and respect they deserve.
The purpose of this role to provide confidential information and support for victims who contact the call centre. The current services include the Victim Information Service; Support Line; and the Information Line for the Independent Inquiry to Child Sexual Abuse. We Provide high quality, accessible and relevant support for victims. Enable users of the service to access further support and information, according to their need and preference.
Main duties include responding to callers by providing emotional support, information and referral on to Victim Support services and other agencies. Also be responsible for escalating safeguarding situations to the 'Designated Safeguarding Officer', and follow up on advice given. You will also need to carry out service needs assessment following agreed processes and timescales. You will have to identify service needs, record the results of the assessment and contribute towards risk assessment processes.

Cardiff Met Students’ Union (SU) is seeking to recruit a full time Student Caseworker to join the student engagement team at the SU. Cardiff Met SU is a student facing organisation that provides representation, advice, sports, societies, volunteering and employability opportunities to students at Cardiff Met University.

Role Summary:
The Student Caseworker role is based within the student engagement team to provide independent and impartial advice and support to students on a range of subjects relating to University life.
The role is primarily based at the Llandaff Campus, with the requirement work from the Cyncoed Campus when necessary. Advice to students at our local UK/international partners is provided via email and Microsoft Teams.
**With Government/University safety measures in place as a result of Covid-19 the successful candidate will be required to work remotely for the time being.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide independent and impartial advice and support to Cardiff Met students on University procedures including Appeals, Complaints, Unfair Practice, Bullying and Harassment, Fitness to Study, Fitness to Practice and Student Disciplinaries
- Act as a sign posting service for students seeking support for mental health/wellbeing support and housing issues
- Work with the SU Vice President- Student Voice to provide one-to-one student representation

The role
You will support the day-to-day posting on, and engagement with, the charity’s social media channels and peer-to-peer support Forum, working across teams to engage with our supporters and communicate messages to help Breast Cancer Now reach its objectives.
You will also support the Digital Engagement Team in the implementation of social media content plans, feeding into the creation of exciting, informative and engaging content across a variety of media.
In addition, you will also ensure high levels of engagement are maintained across social media and the Forum, working with colleagues in the Digital Engagement team, as well as Clinical, Services, Research Communication and Fundraising teams, to provide appropriate responses to comments or private messages.
About you
To excel in this role, you will have experience of working with social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) for an established organisation, as well as an interest in wider digital communities and how people use them.
You will have proficiency using digital technology, as well as an eagerness to learn how to use new tools and techniques.
You will be used to working in an external-facing role with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships quickly, confidentially, and with sensitivity. You will need to be able to work accurately and with excellent attention to detail, as well as working unsupervised, using your initiative.
