The Child and Family Specialist role is part of an exciting and innovative jointly commissioned service between London Borough of Harrow and NW London NHS and represent an exciting partnership with Anna Freud. The Early Intervention and Prevention Service is a community wellbeing team for children and families.
The Child and Family Specialist will work in partnership with schools, children and families to assess and respond to the psychological needs of children experiencing social, emotional, mental health or behavioural difficulties through undertaking assessments and providing interventions. The post-holder will also: provide specialist advice and support to school staff in the identification of mental health needs of children and accessing appropriate resources; and actively contribute to outcome monitoring and service improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Anna Freud’s thriving Clinical Help offers in the Schools Division. The post-holder will offer a range of clinical activities to address mental health needs in children and young people, including assessment and direct individual and group work with young and parents/carers.
The post-holder will be supported through supervision and will deliver consultation, training, and workshops to non-mental health staff.
Location
Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours, either at Harrow Community sites (Cedars Children’s Centre, 127 Whittlesea Road, Harrow HA3 6ND) and occasionally at Anna Freud, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.

We are looking for an Assistant Community Manager to join our Community of people recovering from, or experiencing homelessness, The team is small, but very supportive and committed to the residents, ex residents and guests that the community serves. This is an active role for a hands-on person who believes in the potential for community to affect personal change. This is a full time permanent role, mainly based in Kentish Town.
We support our residents through a therapeutic community structure. We aim to offer an accepting framework in which human relationships can be nourished. We work from a main residential house and provide outreach services to those still left on the streets. We are looking for a passionate Freedom Team Leader to be responsible for day to day running of Freedom, a pet fostering service for individuals fleeing domestic abuse, in East Anglia.
About this role:
As Freedom Team Leader, you’ll:
- support pets and their owners through the referral and placement process, assessing the dogs and matching them with fosterers where appropriate.
- Recruit, manage and work closely with our wonderful volunteer fosterers, providing them with ongoing support, veterinary cover and advice throughout their placement,
- Work closely with the management team to promote the service offer, building relationships with owners and referral organisations, such as refuges and abuse support services.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need significant experience of assessing and handling a variety of dogs in a rescue or rehoming centre environment, while also having a good understanding of domestic abuse and the problems faced by individuals fleeing domestic abuse with pets. A large part of this role involves driving and/or transporting dogs in a small van across the region daily, so candidates should have experience of driving as part of a previous role.

The Outreach team runs several projects supporting pet owners who are homeless or in housing crisis in the UK, including Freedom, a pet fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse. Most referrals come from women fleeing domestic abuse via women-only services. The service places dogs into volunteer foster homes on a temporary basis until their owners are able to be reunited with them. The Freedom Project runs in Greater London & the Home Counties, Yorkshire, the North East, the North West, East Anglia, Scotland, Wales, and Hampshire.
This role is homebased but will involve significant travel across East Anglia and to other Freedom areas when required. Job Description
To be responsible for coordinating, planning, and delivering our youthwork programme in Brent, ensuring you are focused on achieving our outcomes and impact for young refugees and asylum seekers – and working within our current strategy, youth development strategy and implementation plan. Our current youth work activities are:

2. To manage the Brent Youth Development Team

· Supervise volunteers to enable them to support activities with young people

8. To ensure excellent safeguarding practice, and always follow our Safeguarding Policy, reporting any Safeguarding incidents to the Designated Safeguarding Lead ad ensuring they are informed, and appropriate, timely action is taken.
9. To work with the Impact and Communications Manager to provide content (photos, videos, quotes, case studies) which is safe for and respectful of the young people we support, with the right permissions that can be used as part of communications to our supporters, on social media and as evidence of our work to funders.
10. Ensure activities in Brent are monitored and evaluated in line with the agreed protocols.

Role Overview
As Family Centre Manager you will play a vital role in the leadership of our church and charity’s community ministry to local children aged 0-11 and their families. Based out of our dedicated family centre, you will be responsible for leading a committed team of staff and volunteers to deliver a holistic programme of support and activities that meets local needs and reflects our Christian values and mission.
You will co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of the centre’s activities and services, ensuring that delivery is responsive to the views and needs of local parents, carers and children while meeting the contractual requirements of our funders, and ensuring that staff and volunteers are working effectively to support positive outcomes for children and families.
Working with the Fern Street Steering Group, you will also help maintain the centre’s long-term sustainability, this will include maintaining existing partnerships, oversee fundraising efforts and ensuring that adequate resources (people, finances, in-kind) are available to support current and future areas of activity. This will also involve maintaining and developing strong engagement of the congregation and wider staff team of All Hallows Bow church in the ministry of the centre.
You will also take responsibility for overseeing Fern Street Family Centre’s spiritual life and mission - by nurturing a healthy team culture of prayer and mutual support and ensuring that our Christian values and mission are embedded throughout our work.

This role will have a particular focus on the development of corporate partnerships which provide mentor teams to support our young people’s development and funding to support our own sustainability.
Working closely with the Director of People and Partnerships, Regional Managers, the Senior Partnerships Manager and another Partnerships Officer, you will provide research, administration, and business development across the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Partnerships Team in meeting income targets from diverse donor sources.

You will establish Good Company’s second Pantry, in partnership with Raven Housing Trust and Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, ensuring it runs effectively and sustainably alongside Epsom Pantry. Banstead Pantry will compliment the work done by our Foodbank and other activities, to provide secure access to good food, reduce isolation, and promote wellbeing, financial security, and good health.
Pantries soften the blow of high living costs and create the conditions for communities to grow and thrive by bringing people together around food. Your role will enable the provision of good food to people in our community who would otherwise struggle to feed their families, in a shop-like environment that offers dignity, choice, and hope.

Main responsibilities
Banstead Pantry Management
· Oversee Pantry opening hours, engaging with members and volunteers to ensure community needs and relationships are the focus of the service.
· Manage the ongoing operations of the Pantry by staying up-to-date with all statutory regulations and guidelines pertinent to the running of the Pantry, such as the Food Standards Agency and the Environmental Health Department, ensuring compliance and good record keeping.
· Manage the stock levels by organising the sourcing, delivery, and collection of food from suppliers including surplus food providers.
· Oversee administrative procedures for a growing Pantry membership, including the Your Local Pantry database, new member inductions, and membership reviews.
· Liaise with Epsom Pantry to coordinate the development of community activities, signposting, and advice opportunities in the Pantry.
· Develop a volunteer team, including recruitment, training, and ongoing support.
· Ensure all volunteers and members have a healthy and safe working environment that is regularly reviewed.
Participation and communication
· Ensure regular feedback is sought from Pantry members and helps to guide the direction and development of the Pantry.
· Develop opportunities for members involvement in all areas of the Pantry.
· Support the Pantry Coordinator in producing regular content for social media to recruit new members, communicate with existing members, and promote the Pantry community to potential fundraisers and supporters.
· Respond to media enquiries and support Pantry members with their involvement where relevant.
Project development and evaluation
· Ensure the development of the Pantry is in accordance with the Theory of Change to increase financial resilience and emotional wellbeing.
· Achieve the outcomes set out in the business plan to bring the project towards financial sustainability.
· Work with Pantry Manager and the Good Company Management team on the evaluation and management of grants.
· Support Poverty Lead in conducting yearly evaluations and creation of Impact Report.
Financial Management
· Manage the shop income system including cash and card payments.
· Reconcile all income weekly and bank cash in accordance with Good Company’s finance policy.
· Ensure all invoices and expenses relating to the Pantry are submitted to accounts for authorisation.
Wider organisational responsibilities
· Embrace being part of the wider team and support Good Company’s vision and values.
· Familiarise yourself with Good Company’s policies and procedures and implement these in your work.
· Carry out other duties as agreed by your line manager or the Managing Director.

Are you looking for a role which can help transform the lives of homeless young people? We are looking for a special person to coordinate our in Brighton & Hove.
You will be responsible for recruiting, inducting, and supervising a group of up to 20 volunteer multi-faith chaplains who help deliver regular weekly chaplaincy sessions in our supported accommodation projects. These are currently Gareth Stacey House and Lansworth House, as well as our Young Families Project in Gocher Court and Goldstone Villas. Chaplaincy sessions are usually run in the evenings and involve the preparation of a shared meal. You will, on occasion, also work one to one with some of our residents (aged 16-25 years). The role also has an important outreach function to develop relationships with Christian and other faith/belief communities across Brighton & Hove so that those communities can support and participate in our work, including fundraising. This may involve some weekend working, for which time off in lieu is provided.
This is a hybrid role with an expectation that the postholder will be present to attend chaplaincy sessions in our Brighton & Hove projects across the two days, including one to two evenings a week, but with some home working during the day. Exact working days to be discussed at interview.
