The National Youth Agency is looking for a new Local Quality Manager to join our Youth Work Innovation & Development Team.
 
Contract: 12 months fixed term
Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week

About the Role
 
Responsibilities will include:

• Lead delivery of key Local Offer programmes, such as our successful Peer Review and Peer Network Programme, which are designed to support Local Authorities and organisations in meeting the needs of young people and in the case of Local Authorities meet their Statutory Duty (section 507B).
• Manage the delivery of traded services relating to Quality Standards and Organisational Development.
• Manage and regularly update both existing and new online resources related to Quality Standards, ensuring consistency and standardisation across all materials.
• Collaborate with the National Curriculum and Learning Manager to influence the youth work curriculum and share learning and insight from programmes
• Work collaboratively with the Youth Investment Fund Programme Manager to inform and develop Quality Standards.
• Work with Local Policy & Partnerships Manager and the NYA Knowledge Team to develop sector insights and to share learning and knowledge across NYA teams and the youth work sector.
• Collaborate with Local Authorities and partner organisations to promote awareness and encourage participation in NYA programmes and Quality Standards.
• Utilise NYA tools, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Project Management systems, to generate timely and relevant performance and financial reports that support informed decision making and effective programme delivery. Experience of using project management platform (or similar) would be an advantage.
• Provide line-management and support to peers and officers as required.

 
Our ideal Local Quality Improvement Manager should have the following:

• Extensive experience working directly with young people across diverse settings, demonstrating a deep understanding of youth development and engagement.
• Demonstrated expertise managing youth work programmes and improving practice standards, including within Local Authority contexts.
• Proven experience in assessing youth work against established standards and implementing quality assurance processes for effective management, delivery, and evaluation.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in embedding best practices in youth voice, participation, and leadership within services and programmes.
• Strong understanding of the current challenges facing Local Authorities and youth sector organisations, and the implications for young people’s needs and service delivery.

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive CRM Project Manager to lead the next phase of our CRM development project.

You’ll operationally manage the delivery of our CRM plan, support the commissioning of a new system, and develop and drive forward a clear implementation strategy. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external providers to ensure smooth delivery, while coordinating training, ensuring compliance, and embedding inclusive practices.

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS), is the only patient-led organisation in the UK specialising in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Due to its targeted focus on RA and JIA, NRAS provides truly expert and wide-ranging services to support, educate and campaign for people living with these complex autoimmune conditions, their families and the health professionals who treat them.

1. Main Purpose of Job

To drive referrals to and use of, NRAS services from NHS relationships across the UK.

Identify, build and maintain relationships with Rheumatology and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure relevant healthcare professionals are aware of the support that NRAS provides to people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Adult Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.

Operation Christmas Child UK (OCC) has implemented a strategic volunteer ministry, investing in teams of volunteers who will multiply themselves and hugely extend the reach of OCC’s mission.

OCC is the world’s largest shoebox appeal where Samaritan’s Purse, together with local churches here and overseas, distributes from the UK 1/4 million gift-filled shoeboxes annually to children in need overseas and in so doing demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

A resourceful and energetic Regional Manager is needed to recruit, select, equip, and lead teams of volunteers throughout the 32 London boroughs.

You will be passionate about developing others towards highly effective ministry, teamwork and increased personal competency.

You will also directly engage churches to participate in OCC in areas not yet covered by Connect volunteers. A special opportunity will be engaging London churches that have partnered with our sister ministry, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for the June 2025 God Loves You Tour London.

About the Role

Working closely with the Senior Product Innovation Manager, you’ll support the end-to-end process of developing new, insight-led products, from research and concepting through to launch and evaluation.

As Senior Business Support Officer, you will ensure that every aspect of our income-generating business is effective, including managing our financial processing, delivering effective administration, using our systems for project and client management, and optimising how we operate. 

Your experience might come from having held project management, finance, or complex administrative support roles, either in a professional and/or volunteer capacity.

You’ll need to:

• be an effective task-oriented administrator 
• have a strong ability to manage and prioritise competing priorities

• be confident and experienced at using and maintaining business systems and software such as Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI

• be a curious and committed person, who is skilled at anticipating potential opportunities, risks and challenges as well as identifying ways to address these through improved processes and systems. You’re comfortable doing this both independently and in collaboration with a wider team. Your instinct and predisposition will be to work toward simple and practical solutions which can be easily adopted and understood.

We don’t expect you to have worked in consultancy or training before, but you’ll need to have both a passion for the charity sector and a strong commercial mindset to ensure the success of our social business.

What’s the job?

In this exciting and varied role, you will take the lead in delivering commercial marketing initiatives that add real value to both students’ unions and our supplier partners. Working within the Trading Support team, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing the activity against brand development programmes across key sectors including retail, catering, and licensed trade. These initiatives are designed not only to drive commercial returns, but also to deliver on the values and mission of NUS – putting ethical, sustainable, and student-focused outcomes at the heart of everything we do.
 
Your role will include negotiating marketing activity with NUS-approved suppliers, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with agreed budgets and the broader annual trading plan. You’ll be the key point of contact between suppliers and students’ unions, maintaining strong working relationships, identifying mutual opportunities, and ensuring each marketing activity is underpinned by a clear business case and measurable outcomes.
 
A core part of your responsibilities will be leading on the implementation of the NUS Ethical and Environmental Charter, a flagship programme developed in partnership with SOS-UK. This work will involve collaborating with unions to ensure they are delivering against key ethical commitments, and working with suppliers to align their activity with sustainable and socially responsible practices.
 
You will also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our commercial partnerships. You’ll develop marketing plans for new and existing suppliers, and work closely with the Trading Manager and buyers to ensure continued investment in marketing activity that benefits students, unions, and brands alike.
 
Who you are

To succeed in this role, you’ll need significant experience in a business-to-business (B2B) sales or account management environment, as well as a strong track record of project delivery. You should be confident in negotiating and managing budgets, using data and insight to inform decisions, and pitching marketing ideas to external stakeholders.
 
We’re looking for someone who is commercially astute but also deeply values-led – someone who understands how ethical and sustainable business can thrive in a student-led environment. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll be working with a diverse range of stakeholders from student officers to senior brand managers.
