About the role
As finance and compliance manager, you will be an important part of our Senior Management Team (SMT) and help us deliver our exciting new strategy. Key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic financial planning and operations management, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, and controls and procedures are in place to safeguard our assets
- Developing an asset management and investment strategy delivering quality and value for money
- Overseeing compliance and property management, ensuring our buildings are well maintained, compliant, clean and safe
- Working closely with the CEO and SMT, providing financial guidance in support of our objectives and contributing to our strategic direction
To succeed, you will be a qualified accountant (eg. ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and have significant experience gained in a similar role ideally in a charity or housing environment, strong analytical skills and an ability to think operationally and strategically. You will be a key part of our SMT and the delivery of our strategy.

- Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Head of Property and the Property Managers, including the scheduling of team meetings.

- Schedule in key team tasks within the peaks and troughs of the range of team activities.
- Schedule Committee Meetings and attend in the capacity of the minute taker. Work with the team to prepare and collate the papers. Follow-up on actions for timely reporting.
- You will ensure time is set aside by the whole team to meet organisational goals, such as performance reviews, work to achieve the organisation’s annual audit, service charge reconciliation, and contractor reviews.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes
- Minimum 5 years’ administration experience working in a busy office, with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience of designing and delivering high quality, proactive project administration.
- Experience of scheduling and dealing with Committees.
- Proficient IT skills, across Microsoft Office, and willing to learn new systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create presentations and other communications.

About the role:
As Property Manager & Estate Administrator you will help the Trust uphold the highest standards of property management. Reporting directly to the Head of Estate Management, you will oversee the management of half of the Trust's direct let residential property portfolio of around 160 homes. - Use mapping tools such as Pear GIS to create property plans

We are recruiting a Capital Projects Manager to join our capital projects team, who are responsible for working with our regional funding teams across England to deliver our strategy It Starts with Community and the ambitions of our England Portfolio. The role will advise, support and monitor the delivery of live projects alongside our Funding Officers and Managers working in across the Yorkshire & Humber, North East & Cumbria and North West.
When we support capital projects, by which we mean land, buildings and their improvement / refurbishment, we seek to reflect the needs of local communities and the environment. This means that we will fund a wide range of capital projects, from small scale modernisations to new community buildings or landscapes.
- You will be a key part of a small team providing grant making support to ensure that advice is given where it matters most across our regional teams.
- You will provide in-depth advice on land and building projects throughout the whole lifecycle of our grant making (pre-application, assessment, decision making, grant management and build, and learning).
- You will strive for continuous improvement in a capital grant making processes; working with colleagues from other teams to develop and update guidance and practice within the Fund.
- You will have strong attention to detail as you will be responsible for risk management, budget, decision-making and quality assurance activities associated with supporting the delivery of capital funding by Funding Officers.
- Your excellent people management skills will be important as you work with Funding Officers in England to nurture, inspire and empower them,

- BSc / BA qualification (or equivalent experience) in a construction, property management or another environment related discipline

The Role:
The Office Manager and HR Admin will be responsible for overseeing onboarding, health & Safety and human resources functions pertaining to all employees. The role holder will also be responsible for maintaining the office space, administration and any related governance. This role will provide administration support to the Board of Trustees and act as Company Secretary to the Trust.
Responsibilities:
Office:
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and compliance with company standards.
- Ensure the office space meets all Health & Safety regulations, including correct up-to-date H&S information made available to staff via noticeboard or similar.
- Owns and maintains positive and productive relationships with property management and third-party vendors and is point of contact for the building management team in case of any issues and for building information sharing.
- Perform other administrative or office-related duties as required to support the effective running of the organisation.
Health & Safety:
- To assume the role of the Health & Safety Officer.
- Responsible for all Health and Safety matters, ensuring that up-to-date legal requirements are met and put in place to ensure the Charity meets the criteria for the yearly Health & Safety assessment.
- Liaise with building management, contractors, and suppliers and escalate any risks or issues as appropriate.
- Provide up to date information and documentation to the team confirming First Aiders and Fire Wardens, ensuring this information is kept up-to-date on SharePoint, in the office and relevant documentation
- Attend training regularly as necessary in keeping with any new legislation.
Human Resources:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.
- Create and maintain employee HR accounts.
- Onboard and offboard employees adhering to correct processes & procedures, ensuring payroll and benefits information is shared with respective external companies.
- Responsible for sharing all updates relating to new employee training and employment law updates.
- Responsible for ensuring correct relevant policies are in place and filed away correctly.
- Working alongside the legal team to instigate and resolve any employment disputes.
- Responsible for the Charities' insurance renewals & cost reviews, ensuring adequate cover is always in place.
- Keeping up-to-date with employee benefits, reviewing the team’s needs and providing a plan of any recommendations.
- Managing the in-house learning portal and ensuring all employees training is up to date and relevant.
Company Secretarial:
- Administrator to the Board of Trustees.

- Provide support to ensure all submissions are made ahead of deadlines and recording of tasks in the allocated SharePoint areas.
- Coordinate and schedule all Trustee meetings ensuring all documents are returned ahead of deadlines.
Skill set requirements:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or similar senior administrative role.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) SharePoint and other relevant software applications.
