The pathway is designed to support residents and participants in the Havering Borough to reintegrate back into the community and prepare for independent living. This role would be a floating officer based in the Havering borough supporting across the numerous services providing Intensive Housing management support. 

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 9:00AM -17:00PM or 13:00PM - 21:00PM Monday - Sunday, Onsite. 

Salary: £26,100

Some of the things you would be responsible for as a Community Manager:

• Responsible for the admission welcome including assess new referrals, interviewing potential Companions, welfare and care of Companions, their integration into the Emmaus Community and the wider community at large, developing a sense of extended family.
• Lead and implement a culture which provides confidentiality, promotes professional boundaries, protects data, and safeguards Companions, Volunteers and staff.
• To manage support relating to Companion’s needs regarding their daily living requirements, physical and mental health, safety and personal development.
• To assist and encourage Companions to move into independent accommodation where appropriate
• Ensure that effective Safeguarding systems are in place and maintained, acting as the organisation’s Designated Safeguarding Person, with delegated responsibility for policy development, implementation, and reporting.
• Working in partnership with the Retail Manager, facilitate, encourage, and support companion engagement and training within the social enterprises to ensure they are viable businesses.
• Assist the Multi Site Property and Facilities Manager in the upkeep and maintenance of the Community, to ensure that it provides a pleasant and comfortable home for the Companions, whilst adhering to health and safety requirements.

We’re redeveloping one of the most respected radiology e-learning programmes in the world — R-ITI — and we need a driven, strategic and organised Project Manager to bring it to life.

In this 18-month fixed-term role, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of over 300 digital learning modules. You’ll collaborate with the Learning Development Manager, the Learning Technologist and the e-learning faculty comprising Subject Matter Experts (SMEs – who are doctors) while undertaking the project to relaunch these essential resources on our new Learning Management System (LMS).

You’ll not only be supporting radiologists in their professional development but you’ll also play a key role is helping ensure the offering is financially sustainable, enabling us to reinvest in growing our influence and impact globally.

What you’ll do 

• Oversee the entire life cycle of selected R-ITI modules marked for redevelopment, from establishing SME groups to review and update content, to working with learning technology colleagues to produce and publish them on time and within budget on RCR’s LMS. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and objectives and provide support to the working groups whilst they redevelop the modules. 
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Be responsible for overall quality control of newly developed content by working collaboratively with SMEs and learning technology colleagues to create accurate, engaging and effective e-learning content for our members. 
• Lead cross-functional teams consisting of SMEs, internal or externally sourced e-learning developers, designers, and quality assurance testers.
• Be the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing necessary support, troubleshooting queries and ensuring strategically sound decisions are made.
• Manage project budgets and promptly report any potential spending variances to the Learning Development Manager.

• Excellent project management skills with evidence of delivering complex projects to the highest of standards, on time and on budget
• Experience of working with busy stakeholders, especially those who work on a voluntary basis
• Experience of developing e-learning content and working with digital learning platforms

akt is the UK’s national LGBTQ Youth Homelessness charity. We provide safe homes, mentoring, and support to ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBT (National Scoping of LGBT Youth Homelessness, akt, 2015) and 78% of LGBTQ+ young people cited an absence of family support (The LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness Report, akt, 2021). The charity was founded in 1989 and operates service centres in London, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol and works online through a Digital Service to offer support to young people outside of our four office regions. akt works with over 800 vulnerable young people a year providing both face to face and online assistance.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Housing Support Worker to join our new Supported Housing Scheme in Lambeth, an LGBTQ+ supported housing service with six units for young people aged 18-21 years. The service is due to open in late May 2025 and is part of a three-year funded joint project with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing Association and Lambeth Council. The role is part of the Services team and is supervised by the Supported Housing Manager. Other members of the team include another part time Housing Support Worker and a part-time Youth Engagement Coordinator. 

Please note this is a part time vacancy working 17.5 hours per week. The pro rata salary for hours worked is £15,257.50 (£30,515 full time equivalent). Hours will be worked on a Week A / Week B rota basis, Monday to Sunday between 10am and 8pm. 

Job Summary 

In this role you will be responsible for supporting residents to reach their goals and aspirations and move on to independent living. This will involve:

• Supporting young people – building positive and affirming relationships, co-producing holistic strengths-based support plans, coaching and supporting young people with independent living skills and providing them with advice, guidance and support.
• Safeguarding and risk management – working in partnership with Social Services to support young people to keep themselves safe, attending strategy meetings and implementing associated action plans, creating and upkeeping evidence-based risk management plans.
• Service delivery and development – record keeping contributing to KPI tracking, contributing to the development of best practice around supporting LGBTQ+ young people across Lambeth, ensuring young people’s experiences and voices are centred with an emphasis on co-production.
• Partnership working – championing and prioritising residents’ intersectional needs, partnership work with young people and key partner agencies to support young people to achieve their goals.
• Case recording and information management – accurate and timely updating of records, maintaining high standards of safeguarding, protecting personal and confidential information.
• Property and Housing management – creating a safe, welcoming and psychologically informed home environment for young people, where their safety and wellbeing is at the centre of everything you do, and their LGBTQ+ identities are celebrated.

We are recruiting for a Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. 

The post holder will provide line management and high-quality support to the direct reports in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors. 

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  You will have knowledge of relevant Criminal and Civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota. Please note that this is an on-site role.

About you

To succeed you should demonstrate the below:

• Qualified in the built environment (RIBA, RICS, CIOB) with experience managing reinvestment and retrofit programmes, budgets, and stakeholders (e.g., QS, Architect, Contractor), ideally in social housing or local authority.
• Skilled in financial appraisal, risk management, value-driven efficiency, and transformational change.
• Experience in design development, environmental standards, and working with Retrofit Coordinators, Assessors, and Designers.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced project management expertise or certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP).
• Knowledge of funding applications for retrofit and decarbonisation projects, and construction/technical expertise, including JCT, Building Regulations, and related legislation.

You will be responsible for the running and oversight of a 19-bed residential service close to Bedford Town Centre offering a safe, peaceful and supportive living environment for individuals wishing to engage with support to assist them in increasing their levels of independence.

You will provide overall leadership and management of your service and team who deliver high quality, trauma informed support to residents. What You’ll Do: 

• Ensure high-quality care in line with our policies and Christian values;
• Lead and manage the care and hospitality teams ensuring they are well-trained and motivated;
• Oversee the development and implementation of care plans
• Responsible for the home’s budget, in conjunction with the Head Office Finance Team. This includes local purchasing etc within budget limits;

We have just secured funding to fix our broken lift. This is great news, as the period without a lift had a significant impact on our community of tenants, wider users and also therefore, on our income from venue hire (with much less events able to take place during this time). This came on the tail of the Covid pandemic, which transformed how and when people use workspaces and events spaces. The funding means we are now at a pivotal time to rebuild both our events program and our offer as a beautiful, ethical and central venue to hire, as well as exploring how to diversify our services. You will be an instrumental part in the development and growth of our activities and in overcoming these recent challenges.

You will be part of an exciting new chapter for our organisation, as we prepare for our events “relaunch”,  diversify our services and begin working on exciting new development projects. As our Finance Manager, you will be an integral part of this transition, working alongside the Building Manager and Community Engagement Manager, to increase event occupancy, improve our current services and financially futureproof Bridge 5 Mill.

MAIN DUTIES

Bookkeeping;

• Bank reconciliation
• Invoicing and payment management
• Purchases and paying bills
• Assist our accountant with HMRC duties 

Prepare financial reports;

• Prepare quarterly management reports for Board of Trustees
• Create budgets & forecasts
• Compare budgets versus actuals & collaborate with the operations team on where to make improvements

Fundraising;

Salary: £24, 570 pro rata per annum (for a 37.5 hour working week), plus 5% employer pension contribution (actual salary for 22.5  hours a week: £14,742 per annum). Salary based on Real Living Wage 2025/26.

This is an exciting opportunity - a brand new project and role, which is critical to the success of ID Grace House UK. Grace House is a 6 bedroomed property, offering safe and secure accommodation for women leaving prison, who would otherwise be homeless. We will be offering life skills training to all residents and ongoing support.

Our aim is to get residents into employment and accommodation of their own. 

CHRISTIAN HOUSE MANAGER

You will have experience in leading a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment.

You will be highly motivated and passionate about the rehabilitation of women leaving prison.

You will be committed to supporting vulnerable women, enabling them to build on their existing strengths to make positive changes in their lives.

You will have overall responsibility for the continuous improvement and consistency of the day-to-day delivery of the project and be responsible for financial planning and have budgetary responsibilities.

You will help to ensure that Grace House becomes a centre of excellence and help set a positive example of the rehabilitation of prison leavers

You will maintain and further the excellent reputation we currently have with our referral prisons to ensure a constant flow of residents, reducing the likelihood of voids.

You will liaise with venue staff where our #SheMatters community courses are run, overseeing a timetable of courses and ensure that all course provision meets the high standards set by ID Grace House UK.

You will have personal experience of running courses with vulnerable and sometimes chaotic women.  The Course Facilitators make up part of the Grace House Team.

You will be responsible for and have experience of fundraising and be willing to work alongside the Imago Dei staff team to ensure the project is financially stable long term. 

You will be willing to undertake on call duties out-of-hours.

KEY TASKS AND DUTIES:

• Ability to motivate, coach and manage the performance of the Grace House Team. To coach the Team on continuous personal development (CPD) and to undertake any qualifications relevant to their role; 

• Ensure robust plans are created in partnership with residents, to support their progression and ensuring their voices are heard;

• Work with the residents of Grace House to help them address habits/choices made which brought them to offend: to assist them in regaining self-esteem, well-being and independence;

• Support the women in every aspect of adjusting to life out of prison, giving both practical and emotional help, and support women as they seek work and permanent housing;

• Lead by example to champion Grace House values, be respectful and compassionate. Manage any behaviour actioned by the Team that does not reflect the values of Grace House and train on the same.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• Experience of supporting vulnerable women with mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence, challenging behaviours, offending behaviour
• Have CTC Prison Clearance or be willing to complete the vetting and checks for this
• A practicing Christian*
• Experience of managing a team
• Experience of working in the challenging environment of a prison setting or similar
• Experience of facilitating courses with women presenting challenging behaviours.

Desirable 

• Experience with supporting prison leavers.
