Based in our Philanthropy Team in Fundraising, the postholder works with our clinical, estates and governance teams creating compelling proposals to secure mostly restricted income. If you have great digital competence, including the use of AI to summarise information, are an excellent storymaker able to understand an audience, quickly synthesize information and pitch in writing for success, or an early-career fundraiser ready to develop, in this role you will make a difference and work as part of a creative successful team. Understanding how to keep our ask fresh and steward these relationships is key. You will inherit a portfolio of trust and grant funders who have committed support over the long term and a portfolio that delivers at least £180k in income each year. You will work with colleagues on well-established campaigns like The Big Give and support experienced volunteers who handle small grants. This role has space for innovation to secure new funders and uplift existing contributions.
Rasing Funds:
· Ensure an inclusive, engaging and best-in-class experience for Trusts and grant makers
· Manage an annual rolling programme of applications and multi-year funding reporting requirements.
· Deliver medium, large and complex bids for unrestricted and restricted income to ensure success to an income level of at least £150k to fund initiatives including for example: direct delivery of care, volunteering initiatives, new routes into work for protected groups, equipment and capital projects.
· Robust and regular research of funding opportunities, new trusts, and wider horizon scanning to identify a broad base of opportunity to refresh and renew the pipeline of prospective funders
· Steward existing trust donors, finding opportunities to cultivate and grow the relationship.
· Be a visible accessible presence across the hospice, encouraging colleagues to share and develop their own ideas to raise funds that you and/or trust and grant volunteers can take forward and or support the team generating the ideas to do so.
· Attend our Clinical Assets Meetings and restricted funding meetings
· Generate social media posts consistent with Hospice content standards and GDPR and hard and soft copy information to inform and promote the impact of supporters, this includes video/reel thankyou messages.
Communication
· Prepare and submit high-quality, tailored grant applications to secure funding for specific projects and core activities
· Maintain and develop relationships with existing trust and foundation donors
· Be the first point of contact for trust and grant funders and supporters and, for colleagues internally who have questions/queries or have an interest in this area of funding
· Manage a pipeline of prospective funders, ensuring timely follow-up and tracking of application statuses
· Help to create and deliver moments of stewardship that are personal to each funder, show the impact of their support and inspire them when they can, to have an on-going relationship with the charity.
· Be volunteer team leader recruiting volunteers to support your role, ensuing they are inducted and supported. As the wider team help ensure all volunteers feel supported when their respective team leader is away.
· Identify opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the Hospice to maximum benefit for the charity.
· Be an outstanding advocate for the Charity and represent the Charity at functions and events, in line with the values of the organisation, to promote the objectives of the Charity
Digital/Business Administration
· Provide routine and regular reporting on progress, advising on risk/mitigation to ensure the annual target is met
· Enter and update donor information on the CRM ensuring compliance with the GDPR and Data Protection Act.
· Ensure CRM (Donify) records and preference information is up to date and accurate at all times, including recording interactions with supporters
· Ensure all word documents are securely saved and accessible to colleagues on Sharepoint.

Careers4Change is delighted to be supporting The Social Change Nest in their search for a Senior Development Manager (mat leave cover).
Role Purpose:
The Social Change Nest is going through a very exciting growth period and since our Head of Development is going on maternity leave for 4 months from September we are looking for somebody who can join our growing team as soon as possible. The Senior Development Manager will contribute to our FY25/26 income targets and cover part of the functions of the Head of Development while she’s on leave. The Head of Development manages the Development team, which covers the business development, marketing and communications functions, and works with the CEO to ensure that the organisation grows in a strategic and balanced way.
The Social Change Nest is onboarding and supporting hundreds of new groups every year and we are working closely with funders across the UK and worldwide, helping them move large amounts of funding to unincorporated movements at the frontlines of social change. We are spending more time than ever raising awareness on how capital flows impact the ability of communities to create change, and how we can hack the system to enable more money to flow in an equitable way to unincorporated movements.
We are looking for somebody who is excited about all this and ready to hit the ground running. We are in the middle of a large capital raise, so we would like the ideal candidate to join the team as soon as possible to work closely with the Head of Development and the CEO, as well as the rest of the Development team, for 3 months, before the Head of Development goes on maternity leave. The Senior Development Manager will then take over part of the team support responsibilities of the Head of Development and share responsibility for the income targets with the CEO for the months that the Head of Development is on leave.

We remove the financial and administrative barriers – like bank accounts and legal structures – that often prevent communities, grassroots groups and informal movements from accessing funding and focusing on their core mission. Key Responsibilities:
June/July to Aug
- Work closely with the Head of Development to deliver our Development strategy for the financial year FY25/26:
- Identify and secure new funding opportunities with clients, creating tailored proposals to appeal to funder appetite and needs.
- Deliver high-quality bid proposals and pitch documents to support business growth.
- Develop and implement client management and engagement strategies, including our philanthropic networks, enhancing relationships and delivering value.
- Quickly build strong rapport with funders and community groups to ensure effective implementation of our strategy.
- Get familiar with our processes and identify opportunities to support and collaborate with other members of the Delivery team and other teams across the organisation:
- Analyse and present HubSpot data to inform strategic decisions and refine our offering.
- Manage budgeting processes and prepare essential documentation for pitches and contracts.

September to December
- Continue carrying out the responsibilities outlined above, more independently without the Head of Development:

- Be an ambassador for the Social Change Nest, representing the business at industry conferences, events and workshops and grow strategic partnerships.

- Support and line manage members of the Development team, as required, in the Head of Development’s absence. The team of 4 works across business development, communications and marketing.
January and February
Ensure a smooth transition and handover of relationships as the Head of Development comes back into post after maternity leave.

As Voice 21 embarks on its ambitious next five-year strategy, we are looking to strengthen our team with a talented and ambitious Fundraising Manager. Your role will support the Head of Fundraising, CEO and wider team to develop new sources of high value support for Voice 21, working flexibly across trusts and foundations, corporate and philanthropic fundraising.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a knack for identifying funding opportunities and discovering new prospects. With excellent research, communication and relationship-building skills, you’ll work collaboratively with senior colleagues to strengthen our pipeline and drive long term growth in voluntary income. You’ll also contribute your ideas and initiative to develop and deliver compelling engagement opportunities for current and potential supporters, and lead on reporting impact to funders. Ultimately the post-holder is expected to grow in this role, to manage their own portfolio of high value donors.
You’ll be joining the fundraising team at an exciting time as we look to build out the function in the coming years. The Head of Fundraising has been in post just over a year, and has put solid foundations in place to support long term growth. With a healthy pipeline already developed for the current and next financial year, you’ll have plenty of lead time to find your feet, with a realistic (shared) fundraising target of securing c.£500K of new voluntary income in 2027. There is significant untapped potential in fundraising for Voice 21. Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role. Regular travel to our central London office (by Victoria station) is expected for meetings. Regular travel to visit our projects in schools and/or to meet funders will also be expected. Occasional overnight stays may be required too. Voice 21 pays travel and accommodation expenses. The package of salary and expenses will be considered when agreeing a starting salary with the successful candidate.

Spires supports homeless and vulnerably housed people in South London. Spires has undergone a period of rapid transformation, moving to a model of multi-site working across three London Boroughs. Part 1: Job profile
1.1 Purpose of job
To generate income from a diverse funding pool that includes trusts and foundations, legacy and individual giving, community giving, government contracts and corporate support. What You’ll Bring:

A proven track record of securing five-figure gifts from major trusts and foundations.

Expertise in trust fundraising, including bid-writing, budgeting, and reporting on outcomes.

A deep understanding of the needs of the Parkinson’s community, coupled with excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills.

Strong teamworking skills, with the ability to lead internal project teams toward shared goals.

Experience working collaboratively in a digital environment, including proficiency with fundraising databases and online research tools.

Exceptional analytical, organisational, and written communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly and persuasively.
