As an individual, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, can work on their own initiative, but more importantly, as part of a team. You will need good communication and organisational skills. Successful candidates will be dynamic and forward thinking with keen insight into preventative and early intervention methods. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults presenting with substance, alcohol and associated issues as well as an understanding of the custodial support available.

Person Specification
Ideally from a welfare rights advice and poverty-tackling background, you will be able to demonstrate significant effectiveness from previous roles and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.

You are an experienced support worker with at least 3 years’ frontline practice experience. You will be able to demonstrate achievement of:

About the role
We are looking for a recovery worker to join our team in Hounslow. As the successful candidate you will have a passion for supporting some of the most socially excluded individuals in the borough and ensuring that they have access to the same opportunities as everyone else, within the wider community.
The Hounslow LIFE service is a large multi-site service that currently has a staff team of 32 supporting 86 clients; covering specialism's such as Homelessness, Substance Use and Mental Health.
In the role of Recovery Worker, you will be supporting our clients on their road to recovery; aiding clients to gain necessary skills to move on from our services and into suitable accommodation. You will also work with a case load of clients, aiding them to gain necessary skills to maintain independence in the community. This post presents an exciting opportunity to become a frontline practitioner within the Dependency & Recovery service. Our Recovery Practitioners support a number of Service Users at any one time, providing ongoing assessments and management of each Service User’s needs, capacity, opportunity and motivation to rehabilitate. As Wellbeing Support Workers you will deliver our 1-to-1 support offers, some of which are carried out in close partnerships with other teams and organisations such as the local NHS Trust and other Voluntary Sector partners.
Across our partnerships, our 1-to-1 support has been designed to provide person- centred, flexible community support for people living with mental illness. You will build a relationship with people to understand together how their wellbeing can be supported and sustained. This might include linking them to community opportunities, working on benefits issues, finding debt support, navigating housing challenges, building relationships and improving communication with their clinical teams. Whatever you do, it will be tailored to each individual and be flexible to them as their needs change over time.

The Specialist Support Worker Role:
We are recruiting to fill the role of Specialist Support Worker. The selected candidate will join our team of professionals working alongside young people with mental health and complex needs. As a team, you will provide support and advice to ensure that these young people develop the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.
As Specialist Support Worker, you will manage a small caseload of young people with complex needs in the supported accommodation by taking responsibility for their well-being and day to day support in the service.
You will run one-to one and group support sessions within the accommodation and in the local community, aimed at achieving desired outcomes relating to accommodation, improved financial stability, improved social networks and improved engagement in meaningful activities.
In addition, you will work in collaboration with other team members and local agencies to support the wellbeing and safety of our clients.

- A relevant qualification, for example in psychology, counselling, social work, mental health, and/or significant experience of working with young people with complex needs.

- Regularly update the CHAIN database
- Find the best cause of action for each client's scenario
- Work alongside other agencies including, local authorities, health services, housing providers, the police and drug & alcohol services
To be successful you will need to:
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Be flexible and responsive to meet the needs of rough sleepers
- Have the confidence and ability to manage a caseload of complex clients
- Have the necessary IT skills to collect, collate and interpret data
- Be confident in representing our client at external meetings and with outside agencies

Camden Refuge Service provide emergency accommodation to women and children fleeing domestic abuse and sexual violence. About the Role
As a Sessional Play Worker you will be involved in the planning and delivery of a variety of sessions and activities for children and young people at the refuge. This includes listening to children’s ideas to design services around their needs, choices, and aspirations. You will support and involve children in activities which are playful, stimulating, and enjoyable, while promoting their wellbeing and encouraging them to take an active role during the play sessions.

About You
We are looking for individuals with experience of working with children and who are passionate about play and dedicated to providing a welcoming and safe space for all children - supervising the children and ensuring their safety at all times.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on children as well as practical experience of working with children and within a team. You will also need demonstrate proven ability to work on own initiative and under supervision. A minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in childcare/play/youthwork/sports/coaching or creative arts is desirable.
