As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles. The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training. You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.
This role is subject to a Basic DBS check.

We are recruiting a Marketing and Communications Officer to champion and manage the PAPYRUS brand and support the delivery of our projects and services through data-driven campaigns, across email, organic social, and paid digital marketing channels.
What you will do:

We are recruiting a manager to lead Manchester Young Lives’ adventure play and youth work in Moss Side, Ardwick, Blackley, Moston and Harpurhey. We provide open access and targeted play and youth work activities. Our after-school adventure play provision is Ofsted registered and provides activities for 6-13 year olds. Our youth provision engages with young people aged 11+ after school and during the evenings, in centres and on the streets.
Our work enables often disadvantaged children and young people the opportunity to learn, develop and connect with their communities, build safe and supportive relationships with committed workers, and let off steam on our adventure playgrounds.
You must have relevant skills and experience in working with children and young people, sometimes in challenges situations, and the ability to manage a team of staff and volunteers.

English for Action provides free, participatory, and empowering English language classes (ESOL) for migrants in London. Our classes are spaces to build community and support students to organise collectively around issues like employment and housing rights. Our work currently supports around 500 adult migrants across London. Due to the rapid expansion of Day One Trauma Support over the last three years, the charity’s infrastructure has needed to respond quickly to meet its changing demands. The HR Officer and Executive Assistant role is a newly created position to reflect both the growing HR needs of the charity as the workforce expands, and the executive support required by the CEO and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure the efficient and effective running of the charity. About you:

About the job
We are seeking a confident and experienced Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant with a wide range of skills and importantly, a ‘can do’ approach. As a Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant, you will provide high quality practical and emotional support to potential victims of modern slavery within a safehouse setting.
You will work as a member of the team providing a safe temporary environment for vulnerable adults who have experienced trauma and exploitation. The role will involve assisting service users with increasing practical skills and self-confidence to empower and enable independent and safe living.
This service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly, which will include on call duties, evenings, weekends and bank. Both roles will work between two properties approx. 4 miles apart on a Rota basis. A full induction and continuous training will be given.
The 30 hour per week post will be shifts from 4pm-10pm, 5 days per week, however, the initial induction will consist of day shifts until knowledge of safe house is comprehensive.
You must have experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a ‘risk associated’ environment and ideally experience of working within a residential or community setting with non-UK citizens. Relevant social care qualifications or suitable experience of supporting vulnerable people is essential.
