JOB PURPOSE
UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an ambitious and proactive Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy team.
In this exciting role, you will lead on the management of a number of our existing and new relationships with companies to create and grow mutually beneficial, multi-year partnerships, playing a key part in the success of our annual fundraising programme. You will enjoy developing strong relationships and have excellent communication and problem- solving skills. You will be a confident communicator with a track record of meeting and exceeding financial targets.
You will line manage the PPH Coordinator, with responsibility for managing performance and supporting their development.
This role is predominately an account management post, with some new business development.
ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES
- Lead on the management of a number of high value strategic corporate partnerships, liaising across departments and virtual teams to monitor, evaluate and report on progress against partnership KPIs, targets, activities and budgets.

We are currently recruiting support workers who will be able to work on a shift pattern that will include a rolling rota with a combination of days, evenings, sleep in nights and weekends including public holidays. The role can be part time or full time. Support Workers will have to be flexible re shifts. We are currently recruiting support workers who will work on a rota in our supported accommodation for young people aged 16-19 who are primarily refugees and asylum seekers and in the care of the local authority. These young people are preparing to live independently and we offer practical and emotional support to them.
The role requires you to record support to prepare reports, for the commissioning authority using IT as required. Familiarity with Googles docs and sheets is required.
The role of the support worker is to help young people to develop their independent living skills. This can involve being out and about with the young people – going shopping, attending interviews and appointments, support to attend college, helping them to know the area and its resources and, in the home, helping them to cook, clean and develop self-care skills. The evening / night shift is focussed more on tasks that can be completed in the placements or in groups such as cooking, cleaning, support with homework, film nights, recreational activities. Some creativity is encouraged to engage and inspire the young people.
Alongside this you will have some responsibility for light household tasks to keep the house tidy and organised as well as undertaking health and safety checks. The time in the morning will be spent ensuring that the young people who need to be up and out are ready to attend college.
Some experience of working with young people, night working and lone working will be a big advantage.

Refugee Legal Support works in solidarity with people who migrate. We operate in the UK, France and Greece, promoting and protecting rights through legal support, casework, litigation, engagement, training and partnerships. We advocate for safe migration and oppose discriminatory immigration systems and policies.
RLS has held a legal aid contract in the UK since 2023.
About the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative (APBI)
The Afghan Pro Bono Initiative is a specialist casework project delivered by RLS with funding and pro bono assistance from 14 leading commercial law firms. It is a project delivered in partnership with SPI.
Firm pro bono lawyers are trained and supervised by the project’s two full-time supervising lawyers so that they can then assist with legal casework.
APBI has two core components. The team delivers legal information and support to and within the Afghan community, working together with the Community Engagement and Research Lead to ensure wide access. While the project also provides high quality legal representation in a range of cases for this community. This includes family reunion, the ARAP scheme, the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme and others.
APBI then aims to respond to the increased need for legal information, advice and representation of Afghan nationals and their family members forced to seek protection and reunion with family in the United Kingdom following the Taliban takeover. The project is now going into its 3rd year, and won the Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership Award at the Law Works Pro Bono Awards in 2022 as well as being nominated and commended for numerous other awards in 2022 and 2023.
The casework of this project feeds into strategic research, policy and advocacy efforts to make existing ‘safe’ routes to protection (in particular refugee family reunion and resettlement schemes) more accessible and effective, advocate for their expansion and defend the fundamental rights of people on the move by influencing policy and decision making.
Litigation arising out of the project is actively pursued (where eligible) under RLS’s legal aid contract to push for better decision-making, secure results for individuals and pursue improvements in the relevant law, policy and practices.
RLS recognise that pro bono legal work is always an adjunct to, and not a substitute for, an adequate system of publicly funded legal services.
Key responsibilities and objectives
The post holder will be a staff member of Refugee Legal Support. They will be a participant within the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative project team, which comprises two lawyers (the other being at SPI), a coordinator and a Community Engagement and Research Lead in addition to the volunteer lawyers from the individual commercial firm partners.
Key responsibilities

Manage a small caseload and provide high quality legal advice and representation to clients;

The Refugee and Migrant Forum of Essex and London (RAMFEL) is one of the largest immigration and asylum advice charities in the UK, supporting refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to access justice. An OISC level 3 accredited organisation, we represent clients at all stages of the immigration and asylum process, up to and including the Upper Tribunal of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber.

Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is to assist some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Education/qualifications
- Ideally candidates must be Solicitors with IAAS Level 2 with at least 1-year immigration experience or OISC level 2/3 qualified

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Safe Passage International (SPI) is recruiting three Immigration Lawyers and/or Immigration Caseworker Supervisors (one permanent, two fixed-term) to join our UK Legal Team. We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced and motivated individuals to join the UK Legal and Arrivals Team in its invaluable and ground-breaking work to ensure that safe routes to sanctuary exist and are accessible for all people seeking asylum.
As an Immigration Lawyer/ Immigration Caseworker Supervisor in the UK Legal Team, you will run a caseload of complex family reunion entry clearance applications and appeals, you will also supervise cases of colleagues and pro bono solicitors and volunteers, if appropriate. You will be supported by colleagues in the UK Legal team and work in close collaboration with colleagues in SPI France and Greece as well as with professionals in relevant external organisations.
You will be determined and committed to delivery high quality legal casework supporting asylum seeking children to reunite with family members in the UK. You will be attentive to detail, flexible, efficient and able to work independently and under supervision as part of a small and dynamic team. You will be eager to contribute to the overall missions and values of Safe Passage International and to work collaboratively with other teams in this international and multi-disciplinary organisation.

About the Service
‘Flourish’ is a highly flexible and responsive outreach service developed to meet the needs of refugees and asylum seekers in Hertfordshire. The aim of the service will be to support refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health support as a primary need.
Purpose of Post
- To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with mental ill health.
- Support to build social networks and reduce isolation whilst settling into the Hertfordshire community this includes building a sustainable and empowering peer support network and building confidence and self-esteem.
- To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
- To work in a trauma informed way including awareness of the 6 principles of trauma informed practice, putting the clients emotional and practical needs at the forefront of this work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with all key delivery partners across the system to ensure the service is responsive, inclusive and easy to access.
- To take allocated referrals from any agencies including the Community Navigators, Borough and District Councils, Herts Help, Housing Providers, Herts Welcomes Refugees, the Refugee Council and self-referrals including walk in contacts at any of the Mind wellbeing centres across the county.
- Hold a caseload of clients, supporting for approx. 10 weeks
- To create a safe space for the individual to be able to explore their feelings and improve their understanding around their mental health.
- To complete a holistic needs assessment.
- Ensure all person centred risk assessments and support plans are completed.
- Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
- Support clients to build their emotional resilience, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
- To provide safeguarding intervention support. This will include responding to problems, which pose an immediate risk.
- To work alongside translators when required to provide a robust package of support for clients.
- To accompany clients to initial visits and appointments as necessary in order to ensure the sustained use of existing support services in the Borough.
- To provide advocacy services to clients experiencing mental ill health.
- To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
- To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working, working with other third sector and VCSE organisations to provide signposting and continuity of care.

We’re looking for two self-starting team members who will help coordinate our JUMP befriending project for unaccompanied asylum seekers and refugees.
You’ll be responsible for half of the befriending pairs (currently 28, increasing to 50 in the coming months) and undertake tasks such as working with our partner organisations, managing referrals for young people, recruiting volunteer befrienders, and setting-up and sustaining pairs. This includes leading an initial training day.
You’ll also provide JUMP young people with casework support, help organise our group events and facilitate support from our Hardship Fund.
Main functions
Supporting young people and the JUMP Community
- Managing a caseload of young people; including offering casework support; arranging and attending appointments with the young person where necessary and signposting to available support.
- Helping plan and organise quarterly group events.
- Conducting initial assessments with young people to understand their needs, and once paired with a volunteer, hosting befriending initial meetings.
Supervising and supporting volunteers
- Recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new befrienders, including organising and delivering training.
- Supporting befriending volunteers through regular supervisions, meetings, emails and phone calls, and responding promptly to any safeguarding concerns raised.
- Ensuring that volunteers uphold JUMP’s policies and boundaries for befriending.
Publicising JUMP, and engaging with key stakeholders
- Publicising the project to existing and potential referral agencies, and establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with them.
- Representing HIAS+JCORE and JUMP in the refugee sector as required, for example at the Refugee and Migrant Children’s Consortium (RMCC) meetings.
Project monitoring, evaluation and record keeping
- Working with experts and the JUMP Project Manager on supporting the project and its evaluation, and keeping accurate records in JUMP’s database.
Other Duties
- Ensuring that JUMP informs our campaigns, communications and education work. As the project develops, there will be opportunities for the post-holder to contribute to and support these areas of our work.
