You may have thought that leprosy is an ancient Biblical disease, but today someone is diagnosed with leprosy every three minutes. It is a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Stigma and discrimination mean many people with leprosy hide their symptoms for as long as possible, living in terrible fear of what will happen to them. But without fast treatment, leprosy can cause blindness and disable hands and feet. Rejection, isolation, hopelessness. We believe that this is not how God wants people to live. The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with over 152 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. We are a leading international development charity, working in nine countries across Africa and Asia. We are Christ-centered, following His leading to defeat leprosy and transform lives.

We are looking for an inspirational communicator to be the face of The Leprosy Mission. You’ll be working from home, with extensive travel across your region. As part of a fun and supportive team, you’ll be changing the lives of people who have been rejected by society. We have a culture of growing and learning together, providing extensive training in fundraising and international development. You’ll also have opportunities to visit projects overseas and see our work first hand.

This is a home-based role; however, applicants must be based in North Wales or the Midlands.

We’re looking for:

• A relational public speaker, experienced in engaging audiences including churches and community groups
• Proven success in fundraising or sales
• A confident networker
• Experience of managing volunteers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A willingness to work on Sundays and evenings as required, and occasional Saturdays
• The ability to develop and deliver a regional fundraising strategy

TLM is an explicitly Christian charity, serving those of all faiths and none. There is an occupational requirement for the Community Partnerships Manager to be a committed Christian as you will be preaching and speaking in supporting churches. 

A valid UK driving license is an essential requirement for the role. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a work health questionnaire.

The Limbless Association is looking for an experienced and passionate Regional Development Manager (one in the North including Northern Ireland and one in the South including Wales) to help expand our reach and strengthen support for amputees and their families across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing national charity and play a key role in developing partnerships, increasing engagement and ensuring more people can access life-changing support services.

You’ll work with rehabilitation centres, healthcare professionals, service users, volunteers, supports and sponsorship partners to strengthen referral pathways, grow regional outreach and ensure amputees feel informed, connected and supported throughout their journey.

The Skill Mill is a social enterprise that provides employment opportunities for young people with criminal convictions. Through paid work in environmental projects, horticulture and grounds maintenance, we help young people develop skills, confidence and positive futures while creating benefits for local communities and the environment.

Our programmes bring together Supervisors, Youth Justice Services, employers, Pathways Advisors and local partners to support young people into sustainable education, training and employment.

The Role

This is an opportunity to help shape and strengthen the delivery of The Skill Mill across the South.

As Regional Operations Manager, you will ensure young people receive a high-quality and consistent experience throughout their time with The Skill Mill. Working closely with Supervisors, Youth Justice Services, Pathways Advisors and the Commercial Sales Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, support programme delivery and ensure projects run safely, effectively and to a high standard.

You will play a key role in creating the conditions for young people to succeed by supporting frontline teams, building strong partnerships and ensuring programmes deliver positive outcomes for the young people and communities we serve.

What You'll Do

Support High-Quality Programme Delivery By:

• Managing the day-to-day operation of The Skill Mill programmes across the South.
• Supporting Supervisors to deliver safe, effective and impactful work programmes.
• Monitoring programme activity and resolving operational challenges.
• Ensuring compliance with organisational policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of delivery across all sites and projects.

Build Strong Partnerships By:

• Working closely with Youth Justice Services, Pathways Advisors and local partners.
• Supporting collaboration between operational teams and commercial projects.
• Acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders across the region.
• Representing The Skill Mill at partnership meetings and local events.
• Strengthening relationships that create opportunities for young people.

Monitor Performance and Impact By:

• Tracking programme delivery and performance against agreed targets.
• Monitoring progress towards social impact and employment outcomes.
• Preparing reports and updates for the Senior Management Team.
• Supporting the development of systems that measure quality, efficiency and impact.
• Using data and feedback to improve programme performance.

Support and Develop Teams By:

• Providing guidance, support and mentoring to Supervisors.
• Identifying training and development opportunities.
• Promoting a positive, collaborative and accountable culture.
• Supporting teams to deliver the best possible outcomes for young people.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in operational, service or project management.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple workstreams, teams or projects.

• Strong IT and reporting skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in social enterprises, youth justice, employability or community-based services.
• Experience managing commercial contracts or operational delivery programmes.
• Understanding of outcomes-based commissioning.
• Health and Safety qualification or relevant practical experience.
