Background
Our 68-year-old charity is one of the most exciting and flexible employers in the charity sector. Having supported 13,000 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) and their 100,000 heroic volunteer fundraisers to raise more than £1 Billion during the past decade, last year we began to lay the foundations for significant growth in impact during the decade ahead, not just to extend the impact of PTAs, but to provide more broader support for parents in enabling their children to live happy, healthy, and productive lives.
During the summer, we launched a membership magazine (PTA Extra), and a popular programme of parent webinar covering such topics as: ‘Supporting your child’s mental health’, ‘Helping your child succeed in KS2 English’, ‘Neurodiversity in Children Matters’.In the autumn began building a fundraising team to support PTAs by fundraising at the national level.In December we launched the highly successful ‘National Parent Survey’ to explore the challenges and concerns parents face. This year we relaunch a national publication for parents new to school, called ‘Be School Ready’, and our new ‘PTA Launchpad’ programme.

Main purpose and scope of Role
This role will play key to engaging with and supporting PTAs across the region, as well as a variety of stakeholders such as schools, parent groups, local authorities, potential sponsors or supporters and other organisations as our suite of programmes grows. This role initially focuses on the following, but is subject to change as programmes are launched or evolved:
PTA Programme
- Growing our network of PTAs.
- Supporting PTAs through leadership transition to minimise PTAs closing unnecessarily.
- Organising gatherings of PTAs to enhance the PTA community.
- Providing training and awareness sessions for PTAs.
- Providing community support to PTAs during peak activity periods online or by phone.
- Helping schools establish PTAs and supporting them during their first year through our new PTA Launchpad programme.
- Hosting and co-ordinating virtual webinars/meetings to demonstrate the value of PTA membership and the support available.
Parent Programme
- Raising awareness of Parentkind’s growing programme of support for parents, directly or indirectly through schools or other partners.
- Building relationships with parent groups to support engagement with our growing suite of parent support opportunities.
- Organising events for parents as part of our Parent Programme.
- Building relationships with regional stakeholders to support Parent Programme activities.
Other Programmes/Services
- Encouraging uptake or (when charged) sales of our broad and growing suite of programmes and services.
- Identifying and engaging with local and regional partners for our range of programmes.
- Feeding into programme design.
Wider Stakeholder Engagement:
- Attending appropriate conferences and educational meetings across the region.
- Developing relationships with key local authorities and individuals so they advocate our services and the benefits of our programmes
- Developing relationships with MATs so that they can advocate Parentkind and the benefits of its programmes.
- Identify any opportunities for external funding to from LA’s, Companies, or other funders with the support of our fundraising team.
Organisational Effectiveness:
- Create and implement operational annual plans and schedules to support our regional targets, ensuring that time specific milestones for their delivery are met.
- Regularly report on the health of our campaigns within your region, through identified KPIs and organisational targets.
- Ensure all knowledge and information is recorded, processed and maintained according to good administration practice.
General
- To keep abreast of relevant educational policy and legislation affecting our key audiences.
- To be flexible within the broad remit of the post.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaboration partnership project between TCC, Wrexham Citizens Advice, and Wrexham Foodbank. This project will work to reduce poverty and the impact of poverty on people living in Wrexham.
The project coordinator role will be supported by management from the three partnership organisations.
The project coordinator will be responsible for the management and coordination of the project including budgeting, planning and implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. They will coordinate the project partners and wider stakeholders to support an influencing campaign in Wrexham funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation England and Wales.
Key Tasks Include:
- Raising awareness of the problem of poverty and its structural causes amongst those living and working in the county
- Making local elected officials, policy makers, and local organisations aware of the drivers of poverty and encourage them to take steps to alleviate these drivers
- Running community workshops, training, and other engaging activities to partner with people, including those with lived experience of turning to poverty support organisations (such as a food bank)
- Think strategically about how best to bring about change locally, working with a range of stakeholders, and enabling local people to engage with local policy makers
- Collaborative working – bringing the partner organisations together in a strategic and creative way
- Coordinating the setting of agreed project milestones with partners and track progress
- Being the main point of contact for all partners
- Coordinating partnership meetings (confirming chair, finding meeting venue, sending invites, setting meeting agendas, and distributing notes)
- Preparing presentations and reports with input from all partners
- Coordinating and implementing monitoring and evaluation of the project

Terms and Conditions:

The role
The Customer Support Executive role is responsible for assisting both internal and external stakeholders through out every action taken. This role is required to have in depth knowledge of all FareShare Go, and FareShare Uk’s policies and procedures, our various systems and platforms, excellent communication and analytical skills and a can-do attitude. The Customer Support Executive is the face of FareShare to our partner organisations, answering inbound queries to identify not only the issue but the root cause of the problem, and are responsible for seeing this through until the underlying cause has either been resolved or escalated to a stakeholder to investigate. This role goes beyond looking at these issues on a case-by-case basis, being responsible for highlighting trends across the issues that come across the support teams' desk to identify overarching themes and suggesting improvements to address these. Relationship management underpins every action carried out throughout the day, be it customer, stakeholder, or colleague facing to ensure that we are providing the best possible service we can. This can take many forms, from complaint handling with our customers when there is a retailer issue, expectation management when there is a customer misunderstanding, conflict resolution between our customers and/or retailers, to ensuring that all our records are detailed, up to date and inclusive of all information needed for our colleagues to carry out their role. Main areas of responsibility
Resolving support issues
- Working with our charities to maintain seamless high quality support, including solving issues as they arise, and escalating to appropriate stakeholders.
Charity compliance
- Managing all charity compliance workstreams for one of four FSGo Regions through effective reporting, analysis, communication and intervention with charities to achieve agreed KPIs
Effective use of CRM
- Understanding and using a Customer Relationship Management system to support all charities, by maintaining up to date records on all charities and scheduled donations.
Supporting regional teams
- Working closely with our regional field teams to transition charities from initial to ongoing support, supporting their engagement and retention work with collecting charities.
Stakeholder support
- Working with the data support team to identify support trends, by analysing performance, gauging satisfaction and proactively escalating key issues.
- Working closely with our retailer partners and tech supplier to resolve issues and action requests.
Charity Recruitment and lead Generation
- Make charity eligibility assessments and understand their need and capacity for surplus food, in order to maximise the volume of food donated.
- Assisting with rollouts to new retailers, proof-of-concept and trial initiatives.

About the Team:
The WaterAid Management Accounting team provides country programmes and the regions with professional and technical finance leadership for WaterAid UK's international work.
The International Management Accountants act as a trusted business partner to each region they support. Being involved in strategic conversations and enabling decision making through insights and data analysis.
About the Role:
As an IMA you will support the regions, country programme leadership, and International Programmes Directorate, to deliver effective financial plans and ensure best practice in monitoring and evaluating performance is in place.
You will act as a trusted Business Partner of your stakeholders, providing analysis, robust challenge and strategic advice, to support the delivery of WaterAid's mission.
This will include helping to build the financial management capacity of stakeholders through developing and championing self service reporting and insights that support optimal and cohesive decision making on all levels of International Programmes Directorate: country, regional and director.
You'll also:
- Work with Country Senior Management Team to develop business plans for scale up/innovation/new activities for the country programme.
- Support the country programme to implement appropriate financial processes and procedures for sourcing and managing complex restricted funds
- Review and analyse country programme plan and budgets, requesting clarification where required, to provide support and advice to Country Senior Management Teams, Heads of Region and the Head of Management Accounting.
- Consolidate information from country programmes to produce financial analysis and narrative information for regional management accounts on a monthly basis.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships across the global finance function to ensure an integrated approach, mutual learning and effective use of resources.
- Collaborate with wider organisation and actively build relationships with others, including, programmes support functions, fundraising teams and other finance colleagues as well as a range of direct senior stakeholders
About You:
Technical Qualifications and Skills
- Degree level education
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
- Experience in the use of Sun, or a similar multi-dimensional accounting system.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools
- Knowledge and experience of donor fund management
- Experience of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Ability to analyse financial data and provide narrative for range of audiences
- Experience of developing financial policies, processes and systems
- Management accounting expertise, experience and knowledge
- Finance Business Partnering experience of being a trusted partner to stakeholders

We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP Lincoln Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP Lincoln, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

This role will be prison-based.
