Join Dementia UK as our Campaigns Manager and lead national and local influencing campaigns that drive real change in dementia care.

Reporting to the Head of Campaigns, you will design, deliver and evaluate impactful campaigns that put people affected by dementia at the heart of our influencing work. You will set measurable objectives and drive innovative approaches that engage and mobilise diverse audiences.

As a skilled leader and communicator, you will inspire and grow our community of campaigners, empowering them to advocate for improvements in dementia care. You will manage two Campaigns Officers and work closely with Policy and Public Affairs colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

To succeed in this role, you will bring significant experience in planning, delivering and evaluating successful influencing campaigns. You will be confident in influencing a variety of stakeholders and leading complex projects with multiple competing priorities and deadlines. You will be comfortable using digital campaigning tools and CRM or supporter management systems.

This is a pivotal role in delivering Dementia UK’s influencing strategy, working across all four nations of the UK to secure improvements in dementia care so that every family affected by dementia can access the specialist support they need.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Site, Safety and Security Manager is an important new role at Chelmsford Cathedral. The role holder will have overall responsibility for the maintenance and security of Chelmsford Cathedral, Churchyard and its wider estate.

CONTEXT

The Site, Safety and Security Manager has a significant role in the overall management of Chelmsford Cathedral’s site and estates.

The Key aspects of this are:-

• Managing the maintenance of the Cathedral and its wider site (Cathedral church, site buildings and Churchyard) including the fabric, building services, engineering systems, utilities, security and grounds and the supervision of planned maintenance works;
• Overseeing the management of the Cathedral’s wider property portfolio in liaison with the Estate Committee, Chief Officers and Head of Property and Operations.
• Effecting and managing a robust and proactive culture to meet statutory obligations in relation to Health & Safety and other safety frameworks.
• Leading on site security particularly in relation to our public spaces, and liaising with local police and community protection services.
• Driving the Cathedral’s efforts to achieve the Church of England’s 2030 Carbon Net Zero targets, including reducing its emissions, improving energy efficiency, and promoting environmental stewardship, along with working to retain our Gold Eco Church Award
• Managing, monitoring and reporting, (as required), on the departmental budget and programme delivery.

A large 4 bedroom family home, (located on the Cathedral site), with front and back gardens and ample parking is included as part of the remuneration package. The house is deemed necessary for the performance of duties of this role so will not form a taxable benefit.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks). This role requires flexibility on the part of the post holder who will be required to be available, out of office hours, to perform the final evening sweep and securement of all buildings on site. The Cathedral is open seven days a week and the post holder will need to be able to work from time to time during evenings, weekends and bank holidays including at significant liturgical services such as at Christmas and Easter.

The newly created Advice & Support Team plays a critical role in delivering Battersea’s strategic focus on early intervention in the pet ownership journey. By offering well-timed expert and empathetic support and advice before owners reach crisis point, the team aims to prevent avoidable animal welfare issues and reduce the number of pets relinquished for preventable reasons.

This role will be pivotal in bringing Battersea’s ambitious Advice & Support strategy to life. It will involve leading and developing innovative, partner-oriented projects that provide practical solutions - from helping prospective owners make informed acquisition decisions to supporting struggling cat and dog owners when they need it most.

Success will require working cross-functionally within Battersea while also building and managing strong, ongoing relationships with external partners at a senior level both inside and outside the animal welfare sector. Current initiatives, such as our partnership with FareShare and pet food manufacturers to deliver pet food to owners in need, illustrate the type of collaborative, preventative work this role will initiate, manage or expand.

The Registered Area Manager postholder will be an experienced social worker, cognisant with trauma informed and therapeutic methodologies, that actively support and encourage diversity and inclusion, as they lead and develop an outstanding service to meet the needs of our families across the region.

The main role requirements for the Fostering Registered Area Manager role includes:

Race Against Blood Cancer, a small but mighty charity with huge potential, is seeking a new General Manager to lead the organisation.

The cure for chemotherapy-resistant blood cancers - such as lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma - relies on finding stem cell donors with a similar ethnic background; currently 4 in 5 patients with Global Majority heritage do not find a match.  Through donor recruitment & education, community engagement and by building strategic partnerships, RABC works to increase the volume and ethnic diversity of people who register as potentially life-saving donors; we believe every blood cancer patient deserves an equal chance of finding a potentially life-saving stem cell match.
