About the Trevi service
Jasmine Mother & Child Family Residential Centre
Is a specialist residential centre for mothers, their children and pregnant women where there are concerns about substance use, trauma, instability, safeguarding and/or parenting capacity.
Rated Good by both CQC and Ofsted, Jasmine Mother & Child brings together residential parenting assessment, recovery-focused interventions, safeguarding oversight and pregnancy support in one specialist setting.
About the role
This role focuses on providing a safe, structured setting where risks can be understood properly, support can be put in place, and parenting capacity can be assessed with the child’s safety at the centre.
As Registered Manager, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of this seven-bed residential family service, ensuring a safe, nurturing and trauma-responsive environment for women, children and staff.
What you will do
· You must meet Ofsted Registered Manager status requirements. You will have a good understanding of regulatory standards. You will liaise and cooperate with both regulators and be aware of relevant documentation.
· You will establish positive relationships and maintain effective communication with women, their children, and other involved professionals in their care while developing and implementing individually tailored care and support plans that respect and uphold the dignity and privacy of families living at Jasmine.
· Understand Safeguarding issues and the ability to respond appropriately to any concerns
· Model and maintain a trauma responsive workforce
· Maintain optimal occupancy
What you will bring
· Minimum 2 years' residential childcare experience within the last 5 years
· At least 1 year must be in a supervisory capacity
· NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is required, or working towards or prepared to work towards within 6 months of appointment
· Or Social Work England registration
· Sound working knowledge of Ofsted and current legislation.
· Ability to communicate appropriately with commissioners, funders, women using our services and a multi-disciplinary staff team.
· Strong communication and organisational skills
