Join us as our Senior Legal Aid Advisor. We will always stand by people standing up to an unjust immigration system. We provide a safe haven for people to rebuild their lives and our Senior Legal Aid Advisor role is a key part of that. Sitting in the immigration team, you will work on our Legal Aid contract alongside a team of Immigration Advisors working on a mix of grant funded projects for migrants unable to afford private representation. You will work within a supportive environment, reporting to our Immigration Manager, and be able to develop your areas of expertise. We’re a small and collaborative team so you will have the opportunity to work closely with other members of the organisation.
Main Roles
- Manage a full caseload of complex immigration matters funded by legal aid, including asylum, human rights, and deportation cases.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations (IAAS, SRA, LAA).
- Complete funding applications, manage provider submissions, track time, prepare and submit legal aid bills and ensure compliance with LAA obligations.
- Provide ad hoc supervision, mentoring or training to members of the immigration team working on related immigration matters.

Key Responsibilities
This is an operational role where you will manage day to day data protection activities including:
- Acting as first point of contact for all data protection queries.

This includes staffing the reception desk, accessing calendars, sending emails, and performing other basic administrative tasks to keep the front office running smoothly.

We are looking for an ambitious, passionate and confident individual to join our charity. An integral role, you will provide operational, administrative, account management and customer service support and build and maintain long-term relationships with our charity supporters
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be an ambitious individual, with the skills to work in a
fast-paced environment. You’ll be required to:
• Manage accounts and registrations, successfully motivating and inspiring supporters
to increase the charity’s total number of annual eventers. Responding to all inbound
enquiries in a prompt and efficient manner.
• Work closely with the Challenge Events Manager to deliver flagship events such as the
Great Run Series, overseeing up to three third-party events per year.
• Monitor digital fundraising challenge participant groups, managing admin processes
through GivePanel and JustGiving and coordinating with fulfilment partners to ensure
supporters receive their fundraising packs on time.
• Support the wider public fundraising team with administration tasks such as dispatching
fundraising materials, processing personal data, maintaining donor records on Salesforce
and working with the Supporter Services Team to create, monitor, improve and
automate excellent supporter care journeys.
• Plan and deliver risk assessments, logistics, income and expenditure, account
reconciliation and evaluations to shape future recommendations and continuously
improve effectiveness.
• Attend supporter or charity-organised fundraising events, always acting as a proud and
inspiring ambassador for the charity.
• Build and maintain relationships with key supporters, utilising the Fundraising Hub to
communicate information about the impact of the charity and the changing fundraising
needs.
• Maximise all opportunities with supporters and potential fundraisers, using persuasive
and motivational skills to drive support for the charity on a long-term basis.
• Lead on the creation of event content for the charity website and social media platforms
with support from the wider events team and Marketing and Communications Team.
• Input into existing and future plans for data capture, making updates and additions
to policies and procedures, being responsible for developing and meeting a range of
performance KPIs.
• Support with key strategic projects to ensure the charity’s sustainable income growth
and impact within the hospital

IA is offering an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and experienced Stoma and Pouch Care Specialist Nurse to help us lead and develop our strategic clinical support services to people living with an ileostomy or an internal pouch.
The successful applicant will have been in a similar role for at least 12 months as an experienced Stoma/Pouch Specialist Nurse and qualified to at least (NHS) Band level 6. As someone who is passionate about helping people who have been through, or are considering life-changing surgery, your empathetic approach, high standards and professionalism together with your excellent clinical knowledge and experience will put the patient at the heart of everything that you do.
In addition to direct support through one of our many communications channels, your clinical experience will help us to further our charitable aims, developing additional strategic services supported by our team of staff, trustees and volunteers, many of whom have been through life changing surgery themselves.
As someone who is flexible in their approach and is prepared to think outside of the box, each day will offer a different challenge. Whether you are representing IA at external meetings, on various multi-disciplinary committees or advocating for improvements in products and services available to people living with a stoma and internal pouch, your strong voice and stakeholder management skills will represent both the charity and the voice of the patient.
As a hybrid role, the successful applicant is expected to be a self-starter with drive and determination to help us to grow our services and develop our patient support model. The successful appplicant will primarily be based from home (UK only) however the role will include travel to support charity meetings and events, in addition to furthering our strategic aims through networking. Occasional travel to head office in Essex will be required.

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced safeguarding professional to work as Cathedral Safeguarding Officer.
The post-holder will work with the Canon Chancellor in his role as Chapter Safeguarding Lead (CSL) to raise and maintain awareness and understanding throughout the Cathedral community of the safeguarding needs of children and adults, and actively promote a culture to ensure that safeguarding is of paramount importance.
The post holder will work closely and collaboratively with the Diocesan Safeguarding Team and other Safeguarding bodies.
As part of their role, the Cathedral Safeguarding Officer (CSO) will work closely with the CSL, the Diocesan Safeguarding Team including the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel (DSAP) and the Diocesan Safeguarding Executive Committee (SEC); all other relevant stakeholders including Chapter, Residentiary Canons, staff, the Senior Management Group, Cathedral Safeguarding Committee, King’s School Rochester, and all relevant external agencies, e.g., CofE National Safeguarding Team (NST), Police and Probation services, local authorities, Domestic Abuse Services. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is in place between the Cathedral and Diocese concerning shared working relationships and adherence to Diocesan Polices and use of the National Case Management System.
