The Cyber Helpline is a fast-growing, innovative charity that supports individuals impacted by cybercrime, digital fraud and online harm. As we enter our next stage of growth, we are seeking a senior operational leader to transform, scale and strengthen our Helpline service.

The Head of Helpline and Service Delivery will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of service delivery - people, processes, quality, tooling and innovation. This role is accountable for the overall performance, resilience and impact of the Helpline, ensuring we offer exceptional trauma-informed and victim/survivor-centred support across channels.

This is an executive role requiring someone who can operate strategically while staying close to operational realities. You will lead managers, staff and volunteers, drive cultural and structural change, support growth of service models, deliver high-quality outcomes and ensure the Helpline is equipped to meet demand.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Service Direction

• Develop and deliver a multi-year operational strategy for the Helpline aligned with organisational goals.

• Shape the future service model, including workforce planning, channel strategy, automation and technology.

• Provide executive-level leadership and insight to the CEO, Executive Team and Trustees.

• Represent The Cyber Helpline externally with partners, regulators, law enforcement, funders and the wider sector.

Service Performance

• Lead the day-to-day and long-term operation of the Helpline, ensuring stability, quality, responsiveness and continuous improvement.

• Own and deliver KPIs, SLAs, performance dashboards and quality standards.

• Ensure effective processes, incident response, risk management and signposting and referral pathways.

• Oversee the helpdesk, telephony, triage, case management processes and other service initiatives.

People, Culture and Capability

• Lead the team members across functions such as supervisors, case support, QA and training

• Build a high-performing workforce of staff and volunteers, ensuring strong recruitment, onboarding, development, supervision and succession planning.

• Foster a supportive, trauma-informed and collaborative culture with clear expectations and accountability.

• Set and embed structures, role clarity, operational guidelines and communication frameworks across the Helpline.

Quality, Compliance and Risk

• Own the QA framework alongside the Case Support Team, ensuring consistent, accurate and compassionate support to victims and survivors.

• Work in partnership with the Head of Safeguarding to ensure compliance with safeguarding policy and strong practice across the team.

• Oversee high-risk escalations, operational risk identification and mitigation.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, such as data protection and cybersecurity.

Service Development

• Lead service improvement initiatives, including redesigning processes, upgrading systems and embedding new technologies.

• Collaborate with data, product and technology teams to enhance automation, workflows and case-handling efficiency.

• Ensure the service evolves in response to threat trends, victim needs, and organisational strategy.

• Drive innovation in digital service delivery and multi-channel support.

Partnerships, Impact and Growth

• Work with stakeholders such as police, funders, commissioners, corporates and international partners to strengthen and expand our model.

• Support fundraising and business development opportunities by providing operational insight, impact reporting and case studies.

• Contribute to the expansion of the Helpline model into new geographies.

• Act as a senior ambassador for the service and organisation.

Internal Leadership and Collaboration

• Partner with operations, finance, safeguarding, comms and data teams to ensure integrated and effective organisational delivery.

• Contribute to organisational strategy, planning cycles, and Executive Team decision making.

• Lead or support cross-organisational projects where operational expertise is required.

Requirements

Candidates must be 18 years old or older and resident in the UK with the right to work in the UK. Successful candidates will need to have their background and criminal records checked, as they are likely to have access to sensitive personal data. 

Essential

• Significant leadership experience in a senior operational role within a helpline, support service, contact centre, victim support environment or other complex service-delivery setting.

• Proven ability to scale a service, introduce new operational models and lead organisational change. 

• Experience managing multi-layered teams (including volunteers), ideally across remote environments.

• Strong understanding of QA, safeguarding principles, operational risk, and compliance.

• Demonstrated ability to set KPIs, manage performance, analyse data and make evidence-informed decisions.

• Exceptional people leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills

• Experience improving processes, implementing new systems or delivering service innovation.

• High emotional intelligence with a calm, pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

In this role, you will apply your skills and knowledge in building new teams and expand our operational delivery within our IAP. You will play a strategic role in our organisational growth with new services, with a focus on shaping service delivery; offering specialist advice, supervising assistant psychologists and postgraduate research.

Our IAP's support residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. They are given support and guidance to aid their reablement, resettlement and rehabilitation post prison. You will contribute towards them achieving goals necessary for their personal development and move on within the community.

• Providing high quality psychological services, contributing to the delivery of Approved Premises aims as specified by the Ministry of Justice.
• Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics.

Reporting in to the UK Influencing Lead, the Government & Parliamentary Lead supports the management of Christian Aid’s government influencing and UK specific public policy development and delivery in line with policy, advocacy and campaigns strategies that maximises impact.

Role Overview

The Donor Relations Officer will be responsible for crafting compelling, donor-centred communications that strengthen long-term relationships with partners and supporters, deepen engagement and inspire giving. One of the main areas of responsibility will be to produce proposals and reports for stakeholders, especially strategic partners and donors. The postholder will work closely with the other members of the Marketing and Communications team, as well as collaborating with other departments within the college.  The ideal candidate will have proven experience of producing copy for fundraising and donor relations purposes, and will be a skilled storyteller who can translate the strategic objectives of the college into resonant narratives, understands donor motivations, and writes with clarity, empathy, and purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Stewardship Writing

• Develop persuasive and high-quality copy for multi-channel fundraising campaigns (direct mail, email, website, social media etc.)
• Write impact reports and stewardship letters that convey gratitude and demonstrate impact.
• Create case statements, proposals, and presentations for major donor and foundation audiences.
• Oversee the ongoing use of Donorfy CRM to ensure it functions in a way that optimises ANCC's efficiency and makes full use of its functionality; carry out system integrations as needed.

Storytelling & Content Development

• Interview students, alumni, partners, staff and donors to develop authentic, mission-driven stories.
• Adapt organizational content for various donor segments, ensuring a consistent voice and message.
• Collaborate within the Marketing & Communications team to pair copy with strong visuals, and input to other priority projects as required.

Editing & Quality Control

• Proofread and edit donor communications to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with the college ethos and brand guidelines.
• Maintain a consistent, donor-focused tone across all written materials.

Collaboration & Strategy

• Work closely with the members of the Marketing & Communications team to align donor messaging with campaign goals.
• Collaborate with other teams across the college including the Academic, Training and Finance Teams.
• Contribute to the development of content calendars and communication strategies.
• Track and analyse response rates and engagement to inform future copy.

· Fully participate in All Nations community activities when possible.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ professional writing experience, preferably in donor relations and fundraising communications.
• Proven ability to write clear, compelling, and engaging copy and marketing materials for diverse audiences.
• Strong interviewing, research, and storytelling skills.
• Excellent editing and proofreading abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with donor stewardship best practices and fundraising language.
• Experience of producing and tracking fundraising campaigns, tracking impact, reporting and lesson learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and engage cross-culturally.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team and wider organisational departments.
• Experience with CRM or donor database systems.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of direct response fundraising principles.
• Basic understanding of SEO and digital content best practices, and awareness of upcoming trends and changes in the sector, including best use of AI.
• Experience of working with Canva and other document editing software which pair visuals with text.

• Evidence of computer literacy - experience of using Microsoft Office 365, spreadsheets and CRM databases.
• Fast and accurate data entry skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in order to liaise and provide information to a wide range of people internally and to external partners. To produce written documentation to a high standard. 
• Ability to work to deadlines, sometimes under pressure.
• Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Demonstratable experience of working in a busy office. 

This role a hybrid working arrangement where you will be required to work from our office 2 days a week and the other 3 days working from home.

Hours per week:   35 (9.00am to 5.00pm)

Weeks per year:   52
