We are looking for an ambitious, experienced and passionate Chief Financial & Operations Officer (CFOO) to join The Lifescape Project, leading the evolution, management and delivery of our financial and operational capacities as the organisation grows.
Our impact as a charity depends on excellent financial management and the efficient provision of supporting operational structures, policies and ways of working. As the organisation grows and diversifies, we need a dedicated Chief Financial and Operations Officer to lead the management and development of these critical functions in close liaison with the CEO. The CFOO will be second in command to the CEO and a key member of the Management Team.

We are a small and quickly growing UK-registered charity whose mission is to protect and restore wild, natural landscapes. We use the skills and expertise of our multi-disciplinary team (spanning science, law, economics, technology and culture) to develop projects that pursue this mission.
We use the approach of combining disciplines to design and deliver our work because the biodiversity crisis is driven and impacted by social, economic, legal and other complex factors. It is increasingly recognised that the urgent transformative change needed for a sustainable future on our planet is most effectively achieved through this approach. The Lifescape Project has a unique ability to apply these diverse areas of expertise to our mission whilst maintaining the agility of a smaller organisation in delivering our work.
Working in pursuit of our 2020-2026 strategy, the Lifescape Project has seen rapid growth in its impact, team and revenue since commencing work in 2020. Our annual revenue has increased from £265,000 in FY 2020/2021 to £1.2m in FY 2024/2025, with further growth expected in the current FY. Our team has grown from just one to a team which will number 20 at the time of the successful CFOO candidate joining. This growth to date and planned future growth requires constant evolution of our financial and operational infrastructure and an experienced hand to guide this process, which is the core purpose of the CFOO role we are seeking to appoint.
We are excited to be hiring for this role, which will be transformational for the organisation, allowing us to develop our approach to financial and operational matters and support the continued growth of our team and impact. The role will act as second in command and will deputise for the CEO when absent. We are therefore looking for a highly capable and experienced finance and operations leader with the vision to ensure that we continue to grow in a sustainable, effective and efficient way.
We currently have a full-time manager and officer in our Finance and Operations team (F&O Team), which the CFOO will be joining to oversee, develop and guide all relevant functions. With the small size of the team at this time, the CFOO will be expected to jump into the detail in some areas. In the short term this will include delivering some of the more complex areas of the F&O team’s work, such as the audit process, multi-year financial planning and legal compliance, with support from other team members and external advisers as appropriate. If we continue to succeed in delivering our growth strategy, the role will progress over the medium term with increasing team size/supervisory duties and reducing involvement in immediate implementation. Remuneration would also increase in line with growth and assuming strong performance in the role.

Individual Giving Officer

As Individual Giving Officer you will be responsible for supporting the Individual Giving team across retention and acquisition to raise unrestricted income from supporters.
You will:
1. With support from the Individual Giving Manager, lead on telephone fundraising campaigns.
2. Support the team with various CRM system processes and data admin.
3. Create purchase orders and invoices.
4. Help with scoping new acquisition opportunities like Lead Generation activity and overarching stewardship moments to improve supporter experience.
You will be a results oriented person with some experience of working in either a fundraising or in a direct marketing role. You have good time management skills and are able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously so that projects you are working on stay on track, and are delivered to a high standard. You will enjoy remote working and relish the opportunity to innovate, breaking new ground in your work.
No essential qualifications but a good standard of written English and attention to detail is a requirement.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development and review of insight-led brand marketing campaigns
- With the Head of Brand, deliver brand reach initiatives to grow the RSPB’s top of funnel metrics. From early discovery through to delivery and measurement, always leading the delivery phase and marketing planning specifically.
- Brand Business Partner for teams driving strategic and high reach marcomms activities e.g. Supporter Fundraising, Commercial, Campaigns & Mobilisation and Brand & Marketing - providing brand consultancy to ensure the brand is well executed in external campaigns and comms to build brand equity.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

General information
From time-to-time, and particularly at the start of a new project or campaign, you will be expected to come together with the rest of a project or campaign team, or workstream, and co-locate face-to-face for a few days. There will be some meetings together, and also the opportunity to work side by side on the project for a short period. The RSPB will subsidise any required accommodation or travel as per our Expenses Policy. This will help build relationships, break down silos, and make working together online easier and more enjoyable. This co-location will usually be at an RSPB office and will be agreed in advance. About the opportunity
As Treasury and Accounts Receivable Manager within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations. Ensuring we have the cash flow, systems, and processes that keep the Society running smoothly. You're passionate about using metrics and data to drive performance, and you can translate complex financial information into clear, practical guidance for diverse audiences. You'll have:
- Experience line managing, developing and motivating teams, particularly those early in their careers or undertaking professional qualifications, using a high challenge, high support approach.
- Proven track record in end-to-end financial transactional processes in a large, complex organisation.

You have the entrepreneurial confidence to build something new, the strategic thinking to identify opportunities, and the relationship skills to turn those opportunities into sustainable partnerships. You're equally comfortable developing pricing models and financial projections as you are crafting compelling partnership proposals.
Most importantly, you understand that commercial success and charitable purpose aren't opposing forces – they're complementary. You want your commercial expertise to strengthen a charity's capacity to serve its members and achieve its mission.

Pregnant Then Screwed (PTS) is the leading charity working to end the motherhood penalty. The Role
Pregnant Then Screwed’s Tribunal Mentor Programme is a peer-to-peer support service for women and parents taking legal action against an employer for pregnancy and maternity discrimination. We match mentees with volunteer mentors who have been through the Employment Tribunal process themselves for 12 weeks of support through weekly calls. We relaunched the programme in October 2025, and now, with funding from The National Lottery, we are looking for a part time Support Services Coordinator to help us grow and maintain new mentoring matches.
As the Support Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting and inducting mentees and volunteers onto the programme and supporting matches throughout their journey. You’ll also drive engagement with the programme, and develop recruitment strategies for potential volunteers and mentees.
Responsibilities:

Essential Skills & Experience

About the opportunity
As a Purchase to Pay Manager within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll own the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process that keeps our charity running. About the Role

The Programme Operations Officer will support the Programme Quality Lead to deliver programme quality and OMEAL oversight and support to country teams and partners. Additionally, the role will support the wider Programme Operations Unit to ensure country programmes teams have the facilities and operational systems needed to deliver their work effectively. This role work closely with country teams to ensure they have the support required and will involve travel to programme locations.
The four focus areas of the role are: programme compliance, country programme support, OMEAL, and global operational support.
This role would suit someone with M&E and project cycle experience gained within a peacebuilding or development iNGO. As part of the NFCC People Culture and Leadership (PCL) Hub this post plays a key role in supporting and enabling fire and rescue services (FRS) to drive organisational and culture change.
The postholder will use their subject matter knowledge, skills and experience alongside the principles of project management to support the design, development and implementation of a range of PCL products and services. Whilst the role supports all PCL activities, the role will have a focus on Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)-related projects, therefore experience in this area is particularly desirable. Moreover we require someone with relevant knowledge and experience in one or more fields of the people/HR/OD/EDI profession.
Evaluating the effectiveness of the NFCC’s PCL products and their benefits to FRS’s will be a key aspect of the role and the postholder will undertake a range of evaluation activities to identify improvements and make recommendations for improvement. They will be responsible for implementing agreed changes and maintaining PCL products to ensure they remain fit-for-purpose.
