THE ROLE 

The Development Manager will proactively develop programme ideas into winnable proposals and progress income from institutional donors as well as trusts and foundations. Reporting to the Global Development Director, the successful candidate will be a self-starter with the relevant experience, skills and relationships to develop a portfolio of prospects and grantmakers. You will work as part of a collaborative and friendly development team and work closely with programmes to develop new ideas and applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop new ideas for business development and submit to institutional and/or trusts & foundations as appropriate
• To work with programme teams to submit timely proposals in response to calls including proposal development and coordinating the proposal administration process
• Work closely with the programme teams to identify and respond to new opportunities for their portfolios and develop existing relationships in collaboration with IWPR programmes
• Contribute to the development team and overall organisational income targets
• Develop strategies for engaging new prospective donors – including foundations - through research
• Gather and share information on new potential funding and/or themes and contribute to the intelligence and MEL functions of IWPR with donor information and competitor mapping
• To contribute to the overall strategic development of the team including the MEL and networking functions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• At least 4 years of experience working in a similar role

The Opportunity

This role at WFN provides an exciting opportunity to lead on the development of our growing Winner Network Development (WND) programme, identified as one of the charity’s key areas for strategic growth and maximised impact over the coming years. OVERALL, PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Night and Weekend Manager role is to ensure the effective management and operation of MPMT’s housing projects in Southeast London, focusing on promoting the safety, well-being, and personal development of children and young female residents. This includes providing strong leadership to a team of night and weekend support workers, ensuring high service delivery standards, and fostering collaborative relationships with local authorities and other stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

• Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and good practices.

• Conduct risk assessments for building and fire safety, supervise repairs, and manage reception duties.

Partnership Development

ROLE PURPOSE

You will be part of a team helping to transform lives by enabling young people to manage their licenses and move towards greater independence within the community. This role requires knowledge of supporting individuals with complex needs using trauma-informed approaches and working in a Psychologically Informed Environment. The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

GENUINE OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you'll join a high-performing team of eight, reporting to the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager. You'll play a pivotal role in stewarding and growing existing partnerships, securing income, and ensuring our values and impact are reflected in every collaboration.

• Develop and grow existing corporate partnerships, securing incremental income.

About the role

Development Group generates philanthropic and sponsorship income to help us create a Natural History Museum for the future – investing in capital development, attaining vital acquisitions for the collection, transforming our galleries, developing innovative exhibitions and undertaking ground-breaking scientific research on issues that affect us all.

The Museum is looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual for the role of Philanthropy Manager. The role will be focused on raising funds from high-net-worth individuals capable of giving six-figure gifts and key in achieving our strategic priorities. It will involve working both independently and closely with senior stakeholders in order to cultivate and maintain relationships with new and existing funders, securing income towards a diverse range of core and capital projects.

Working alongside an approachable and highly successful Philanthropy team and reporting into the Senior Philanthropy Manager (HNWI), the role will cultivate and build relationships with a portfolio of potential and existing funders, engaging with them through correspondence, meetings, events and creating compelling proposals to secure funding. The role will provide exemplary stewardship and create robust and long-term pipelines, whilst actively supporting the Philanthropy Executive with their portfolio.

About you

The appointed person will be able to secure and manage gifts from high-net-worth individuals, and have exceptional written and oral communication skills, with an ability to convey detailed information in a concise and engaging manner. The person will be able to work proactively and constructively with colleagues to develop high-quality project proposals and act as an ambassador for the Natural History Museum amongst a range of high-profile external contacts. We believe that people’s sight matters and wish to strengthen our committed and passionate team by appointing a grants operations and data manager to join our grants and research team.

The grants operations and data manager is a newly created role, within Moorfields Eye Charity's grants and research team, to support, manage and develop grant funding operations. This is a really exciting time to join the team as this position will play a key role in the ongoing optimisation of the teams grants management system (Flexigrant, implemented 2024) and also the underpinning funding operations to support the delivery of our first grants strategy, due to be launched in early 2026.

We have ambitious plans. We have put into action a five-year business plan that is supporting our growth from raising and funding around £6 million annually to becoming a £10 million a year charity.

This is an exciting opportunity for the grants operations and data manager to bring passion and experience to our dedicated team, ensuring we have robust and effective processes to select and award the most impactful projects and programmes, and enable the monitoring of outputs, outcomes and impact.

Experience in grants management is essential and the successful candidate will be able to think creatively, plan, solve problems, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.

About the role

You will be joining a supportive grants and research team who are committed to ensuring the charity has robust grant making mechanisms to determine best use of charitable funding together with monitoring and evaluating projects and programmes. 

You will be involved in optimising the grants management system and funding processes, driving effective data collection and reporting, and corresponding work-flows. The role is highly collaborative, requiring you to develop professional working relationships with stakeholders at various levels. It will suit a candidate who is dynamic and ambitious, confident delivering change, and in taking initiative.

About you

You will have an established track record in grant-making, ideally in a health or medical research charity. You will have experience in the full life-cyle of grants management and the delivery of grant-making programmes, working with complex data and databases. You will also have a keen interest in improving operational processes and developing/analysing reports for data driven grant making activities and showcasing the impact of funding.

You will be an effective communicator, able to build confident working relationships at all levels. You will bring strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to work collaboratively and to influence, lead others in matrix style working.
