What you’ll be doing:

• Overseeing the day-to-day compliance, management and maintenance of our park, playgrounds, sports facilities, and Grade II listed buildings.

The Winchester Beacon has been supporting individuals experiencing homelessness for almost forty years. The organisation provides a safe and welcoming accommodation for up to 22 individuals, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day across 4 sites. Residents receive personalised support through regular one-to-one meetings with a Support Worker to plan steps towards positive change and independent living.

Role Description

This 0.6 part-time hybrid role of Facilities Manager is based in Winchester with some flexibility for remote work. The Facilities Manager will oversee the maintenance, safety and functionality of the organisation’s main site and off-site residences. Responsibilities include coordinating repairs and maintenance, managing contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and performing regular site inspections. The role also involves maintaining records, managing budgets related to facilities, and collaborating with staff and stakeholders to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of facilities maintenance, including performing inspections, coordinating repairs and engaging with contractors.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Senior Surveyor – Property Services

Location: Southgate, London
Salary: £58,000 – £65,000 + Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Senior Surveyor to join an established Property Services team, leading the delivery of high-quality responsive repairs across the housing portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong surveyor with experience in social housing to play a key role in supporting a team of Surveyors, driving service improvements, resolving complex repair issues and ensuring residents receive an outstanding customer experience.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Property Manager, you will provide technical leadership and support to the Responsive Repairs team, ensuring repairs are accurately diagnosed, delivered within agreed timescales and completed to a high standard.

You will work closely with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders to manage complex repair cases, disrepair matters and building defects while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical guidance to Surveyors on complex repairs, building defects and diagnostic solutions.

• Supporting and developing the Responsive Repairs team to deliver a consistent, customer-focused service.

• Managing contractor performance and building effective working relationships to improve service delivery and value for money.

• Monitoring Surveyor workloads, productivity and repair quality to ensure performance targets are achieved.

• Using the NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR), basket rates and technical knowledge to accurately scope and validate repairs.

• Assisting with complaint resolution, disrepair cases and complex building issues.

• Producing regular performance reports and identifying trends to drive continuous service improvement.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines excellent technical knowledge with strong leadership and communication skills.

You will have:

• Proven experience managing or mentoring a surveying team within a responsive repairs or property maintenance environment.

• A strong background in diagnosing complex building defects and delivering responsive repairs within social housing.

• Experience using the NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR), basket rates and repair specifications.

• Sound knowledge of damp and mould diagnostics, building pathology and housing repairs.

• Experience managing contractors and driving high standards of quality, performance and customer service.

• Good understanding of HHSRS, CDM Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.

What we're looking for

• Strategic procurement category management expertise, evidencing the use of data and analysis to drive decision making.
• Practical experience of carrying out tenders and competitions in accordance with the public sector procurement rules
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to engage and influence others to deliver the best outcomes
• Experience in supplier relationship management, ensuring value for money deals with suppliers who are committed to delivering a high service to SNG, and managing the commercial performance of procurement contracts

The Operations and Administration Manager is essential to Kalayaan’s team and to our ability to transform the lives of our clients. The role offers and opportunity to use and build skills across a range of areas with a high degree of responsibility, working with a talented and committed team. 

We have seven staff, three freelance or contract staff and 12 volunteers; four of our staff work full-time.  We are looking for a capable, positive and motivated problem solver with the experience to manage a broad range of tasks and responsibilities.

This is an exciting time to join Kalayaan in an operational and administrative role, with a range of operational change projects underway, a new database being rolled out, office redecoration about to start, and a new website ready for launch in July.

Every woman deserves to feel safe where she lives — especially at night.

Our Camden Women’s Complex Needs Services provide accommodation and support for women who have experienced homelessness, trauma, Violence Against Women and Girls, and multiple disadvantage. Many of the women we support have lived through unsafe relationships, instability, exclusion, and services that have not always felt safe, consistent or trustworthy. This role is about helping to change that.

As a Night Concierge, you will be a calm, steady and reassuring presence in the service overnight, helping to create an environment where women can rest, recover and feel secure in their accommodation. You will be the first point of contact during the night, responding to residents with warmth, respect and clear boundaries, while helping to maintain the safety, dignity and stability of the building.

Your night to night work will include managing access to the service, carrying out regular building checks, responding to incidents or emergencies, reporting repairs or safety concerns, and escalating risks where needed. You will also support women with immediate practical or wellbeing needs overnight, using active listening, de-escalation skills and a trauma-informed approach to respond calmly and proportionately when someone is distressed, anxious or in crisis.

This is not a full casework role, but your work will make a real difference to the women living in the service. The way you record concerns, share information and provide clear handovers will help the wider team respond to risk, maintain continuity of support and ensure women continue to feel safe, respected and held. You will also be joining SHP at an exciting time, with access to training, reflective practice and development opportunities to support your confidence, learning and longer term career progression.

We are ideally looking for one person who can work all three required nights (Saturday, Sunday and Monday 8pm-8:30am) but we would be open to considering a job share for the right candidates.

Our Maintenance team works across multiple properties to ensure our residents have safe, good‑quality homes. We work closely with service staff to identify and complete repairs, carry out ad hoc cleaning and decoration, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and prepare empty homes for new residents.

We have sites across East Sussex, centered around our Foyers in Eastbourne and Hastings. These services provide 24-hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25, offering low to medium levels of housing-related support. There are homes throughout East Sussex for young people we continue to support into independence via our Transitional Housing teams, these are typically larger shared houses of 4-8 residents sharing some communal facilities such as bathrooms and kitchens. In total there are approximately 180 residents in East Sussex that the maintenance team oversee.

As a Maintenance Worker covering sites across East Sussex, you will take on a hands‑on role combining practical maintenance tasks with caretaking responsibilities. You will help create and maintain safe, welcoming, and psychologically informed accommodation for the people we support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive maintenance, caretaking, and cleaning service to ensure safe, welcoming, and psychologically informed accommodation.
• Carry out day‑to‑day maintenance across our West Sussex sites, with occasional support to other housing schemes.
• Complete maintenance, cleaning, repair, and redecoration works within agreed timescales, delegating tasks where appropriate.
• Perform or delegate general caretaking and cleaning duties, including cleaning communal areas, litter‑picking, and waste removal.

Experience in leading change, implementing best practice, and driving continuous improvement is key, as is your ability to manage contracts, budgets, and performance to meet organisational targets. You’ll also bring strong financial acumen and experience of delivering against KPIs in a complex, fast-paced environment.

As a leader, you will be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and decision-making skills, able to use data and insight to inform direction and performance. Main Purpose of the Role

The Administrator plays a key role in supporting the effective day-to-day operation of The Friendly Trust. As the first point of contact for many callers and visitors, the postholder will provide a professional, welcoming and responsive service, ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently and messages are communicated accurately. The Administrator will be responsible for maintaining effective administrative systems, managing organisational records and data, and providing high-quality administrative support to the Director, General Manager, Team Managers and Trust Officers. Through these activities, the postholder will help ensure the smooth running of the organisation and contribute to the achievement of The Friendly Trust's aims and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Communication and Customer Service

• Act as the first point of contact for telephone enquiries, providing a professional and helpful service to service users, families, professionals and other stakeholders.
• Answer incoming telephone calls promptly, relay messages accurately and ensure enquiries are directed appropriately.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring information is communicated effectively and in a timely manner.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with internal and external contacts.

Data Management and Reporting

• Support the Director, General Manager, Team Managers and Trust Officers in maintaining accurate records and statistical information.
• Ensure the timely and accurate input, maintenance and retrieval of information within the Trust's case management and data systems.
• Assist with the production of monitoring information, reports and organisational statistics.

Office Systems and Administration

• Develop, maintain and improve administrative systems and processes that support the efficient running of the organisation.
• Maintain electronic and paper filing systems, ensuring records are stored securely and remain accessible when required.
• Provide administrative support to managers and Trust Officers across the organisation.

Operational Support

• Assist with arranging meetings, training sessions and organisational events.
• Prepare, photocopy and distribute documents, agendas, leaflets and other materials required for service delivery and organisational activities.

Building, Facilities and Resources

• Support the General Manager in coordinating building maintenance, repairs and equipment servicing.
• Liaise with landlords, contractors and suppliers as required.
• Help maintain office resources and equipment.

Financial Administration

• Undertake routine financial administrative duties, including processing invoices and highlighting any discrepancies or concerns to the General Manager.

Quality, Compliance and Sustainability

• Support the maintenance of accurate organisational records and compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Contribute to environmentally sustainable working practices across the Trust.

Other Duties

We are looking for a Gardener / Handyperson to support our Leicestershire Residential Children's Services on a part-time permanent basis.

This role requires travel between sites. Our homes are located in Hinckley, Coalville, Market Harborough, Syston, Mountsorrel and Leicester. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (with fully comprehensive insurance including business use) is essential.

Hours

16 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

This list is not exhaustive but will include:

• Undertaking minor routine maintenance and repairs
• General gardening and upkeep of outdoor spaces
• Assembling flat-pack furniture and installing shelves and curtain poles
• Window cleaning (excluding excessive heights)
• Deep cleaning of carpets and surfaces as required

• Moving furniture and equipment, including larger items across sites

Essential Requirements
