We have an opportunity for a Contracts Manager - Mechanical and Electrical to join our team. This role will be based in Wembley, twice a week with travel to other sites, covering London & Hertfordshire as and when required. SNG operates a Hybrid working model, we support both home working & onsite.
The salary range on offer is £45,000 - £58,000 depending on experience.
This pivotal role will oversee replacement, servicing, maintenance, and small project works, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, value-for-money service for our customers.
About the Role
- Lead the management of contracts for assigned mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and value-for-money service delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory legislation, British Standards, and guidance (including SFG20), ensuring full compliance with all safety obligations.
- Monitor contractor performance against specifications and KPIs, chair review meetings, and drive continuous improvement where required.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, spend control, and authorise payments and contract variations as appropriate.
- Support procurement activities to ensure contracts are awarded in line with organisational requirements.
- Analyse repairs data and emerging trends to inform planned works and long-term maintenance strategies.
- Act as a key point of contact for contractors, customers, and stakeholders, resolving operational matters and keeping customers informed of planned works.
- Investigate complaints and mechanical-related incidents or emergencies, implementing robust processes to ensure effective resolution and learning.
- Develop and oversee structured audit and inspection programmes, maintaining accurate electronic compliance records from inception to closure.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships across teams, contractors, and partners to support successful delivery of SNG's objectives.
To Be Successful in This Role
- Hold a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of M&E systems, safety requirements, and commercial contract management.
- Have experience managing third-party suppliers and delivering large-scale M&E testing programmes.
- Possess a sound understanding of current building regulations and Health & Safety legislation, including CDM.
- Be confident interpreting and applying legislative and regulatory documents.
- Show strong financial awareness, with the ability to plan, track, and forecast budgets to ensure value for money and mitigate risk.
- Maintain accurate project and compliance records from inception through to completion.
- Be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to influence, challenge, and represent the organisation professionally.
- Demonstrate good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines under pressure.

Occasionally, surveying expertise is also required for matters relating to legacy properties.
What we’re looking for in our Surveyor:
- Level 6 or higher professional surveying qualification
- Current membership of a professional institution such as RICS, RIBA, CIBSE, CIOB, IWFM
- Post qualification experience of surveying in a property or facilities management environment
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Working Knowledge of retail/commercial leases, acquisitions and disposals
- Multi-site and use property management and compliance experience
- Experience of working on and managing small building or maintenance projects up to £500k, including financial controls as EA or CA and contractor management
- Ability to work within a small team and externally with professionals and third parties

Overall Purpose
To provide maintenance support to the organisation, ensuring premises are maintained at a standard that will serve the mission of Baca. This will include properties across Loughborough and 2 office sites.
Duties Responsibilities
- Organise and conduct required maintenance at all Baca sites. The below list is not exhaustive but some of the below skills will be required to fulfil the role; General Plumbing; bathroom and kitchen plumbing repairs, blocked toilets & sinks etc, Painting and Decorating, Basic carpentry skills, Meter Reading for electricity and gas meters, Fire Testing; routine testing of smoke and CO alarms.
- To become familiar and actively use the Baca’s maintenance management system which aids the reactive and planned works across all sites.
- Communicating with contractors, residential workers and landlords as required, ensuring repairs and maintenance is conducted when planned.
- Administering quarterly checks, quarterly cleans, health and safety requirements and annual servicing such as: PAT testing and Gas safety on properties and reporting issues for follow up.
- Working alongside the Premises Manager, administer the Health & Safety checks on all Baca properties including the offices, to ensure regulatory requirements are met and associated paperwork is completed.
- Support in the setting-up and closing down of properties and rooms between moves.
- Administering the setup and set-down of rooms for young people moves between Baca properties, ensuring the rooms are ready for new young people.
- Ensuring the office and car parks are clean and tidy, ensuring visitor experience is positive, professional, welcoming, friendly and helpful.
- Assist the Premises Manager and Finance Manager with year-end Fixed Assets verification.
- Supporting with other administrative activities in line with the team needs.
General:
- Play an active and supportive role within the organisation.
- Take ownership of files allocated, ensuring they are up to date and stored correctly.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to work undertaken and ensure all confidential material is stored according to Baca’s Confidentiality statement and Data Protection Policy.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Natural Estate Manager to lead and deliver a busy but rewarding programme of conservation work across Gilwell Park, helping to improve habitats, boost biodiversity and create more opportunities for people to connect with nature. Guided by our new 10-year woodland management plan and best-practice conservation methods, you’ll take a hands-on approach to estate maintenance and habitat improvement across the site.
Working both independently and alongside staff teams, volunteers, corporate supporters and young people, you’ll help create meaningful change for nature and for visitors. From practical conservation tasks to wider estate projects, you’ll play a key role in shaping and protecting the natural environment at Gilwell Park.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead practical grounds and woodland work at Gilwell Park, supporting habitat improvements and estate maintenance.

- Role will involve a large amount of heavy lifting in picking up and moving stock including furniture.
- To support maintenance of multi-site storage of stock belonging to The Children’s Trust
- Transportation of rubbish and unwanted items to recycling centre or refuse site as appropriate.

The CEO will lead Sheffield Community Bike Project to successfully carry out its charitable aims, working closely with the Board of Trustees, Bike Project Manager and volunteers. This will include providing strategic leadership, building the organisation's long-term sustainability, securing the funding that enables our work, and supervision of any other paid staff. SCBP is at a key moment of growth. Having taken on workshop premises in September 2024, we are now working to increase the number of sessions that we run, streamline our volunteer and participant experience, and expand the breadth of provision that we offer. This is a genuine opportunity to shape what SCBP becomes as an established institution - not just to maintain what exists. At the same time, as a grassroots charity, central to our ethos is nurturing a sense of community ownership and collaboration. Internal leadership and culture - nurturing a positive, inclusive organisational culture across staff, volunteers and trustees, consistent with SCBP's values.
Governance and compliance - working with trustees to meet SCBP's legal obligations as a charity, retailer, premises leaseholder and public-facing organisation. Overseeing development and periodic reviews of charity policies. Carrying out incident review processes where appropriate.

In the role you will:
- To oversee the day-today operations of the safehouse accommodation and services for potential victims of modern slavery in the service and their dependents
- You will work with the Modern Slavery Case Workers to supervise their production of support plans, updating records accurately and reporting key changes. This also includes preparing the client for exit, repatriation and any other resettlement plans.

Purpose of the Role
To support the efficient and safe running of FareShare South West’s Hub operations, ensuring high standards of stock handling, health & safety (H&S), and food compliance. The Senior Hub Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing goods in, supporting volunteers, the FareChance employability participants and volunteers in their operational tasks, and ensuring overall smooth day-to-day operations. The role also includes deputising for the Hub Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hub Management
- Work with the Hub Manager to ensure smooth running of food intake, storage, and distribution.
- Ensure daily team briefings, safety updates, and essential information are communicated clearly to the hub operations team, as directed by the Hub Manager
- Liaise with food industry representatives, FareShare UK (FSUK), distribution companies and hauliers.
- Support the Hub Manager in coordinating and maintaining the fleet of vans and equipment, including weekly vehicle checks and basic maintenance duties (e.g. tyre pressures, topping up vehicle fluids).
- Support audit readiness by ensuring daily records, procedures, and documentation are completed accurately and consistently
- Collaborate with the hub operations team to reduce waste and maximise distribution of surplus food to Community Food Members (CFMs).
- Report operational improvements to the Hub Manager and support the implementation of agreed changes.
- Deputise for the Hub Manager during absence by:
- Coordinating daily activities and overseeing the hub operations team.
- Leading on-site health & safety and supporting team wellbeing.
- Liaising with the Head of Food and Logistics to support food intake and logistics.
- Working with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure shift cover and resolve shortfalls.

2. Volunteer Management
- Under the direction of the Hub Manager, delegate operational tasks to volunteers and supervise their work.
- Ensure volunteers are supported and trained in their specific roles and can develop.
- Support volunteer health, safety and welfare during shifts.
- Coordinate delivery of corporate volunteering days with support from the wider FSSW team.
- Register and onboard new drivers, including delivering volunteer and staff driving assessments and inductions, a directed by the Hub Manager.
FareChance Employability Programme
- Support the Hub Manager in the operational delivery of the FareChance programme by overseeing and supervising participants during operations tasks, ensuring they are actively engaged and contributing to the hub operations team.
- Work with the Hub Manager to ensure FareChance participants are effectively trained, supported, and equipped to carry out their allocated duties, with opportunities to build confidence and develop relevant skills, with support from the volunteer and employability teams and Hub Manager.
