Household income is still one of the strongest predictors of a young person’s future opportunities and earning potential in the UK. Future Frontiers exists to level the playing field. We equip under-resourced young people with the knowledge, skills, confidence and connections they need to broaden their horizons and take positive steps towards their futures.
In partnership with schools and businesses across Greater London, we deliver programmes of personalised careers coaching, skills development and exposure to professional role models for young people from low-income families. About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our small, ambitious team and help secure the funding that makes our work possible.
Our Philanthropy team builds meaningful relationships with supporters, particularly charitable trusts and foundations, to secure a significant proportion of Future Frontiers’ income. We have a strong case for support, a track record of securing trusts and foundations funding, and an exciting pipeline of opportunities. We’re now looking to build on this success as we continue to grow our philanthropy income.
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll identify prospective funders, manage relationships with charitable trusts and foundations, and craft compelling funding proposals and reports that bring our impact to life.
This role requires exceptional writing skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate information clearly, accurately and persuasively. You’ll need to be highly organised, proactive and confident managing multiple deadlines, while producing consistently high-quality work.
We’re looking for someone with strong trusts and foundations fundraising experience who can combine outstanding written communication with excellent relationship-building skills.
Your responsibilities:
Write funding applications and reports
You’ll lead on developing high-quality funding applications, reports and proposals for charitable trusts and foundations that make a compelling case for support and bring our impact to life.
This will include translating complex programme and impact information into clear, engaging and persuasive written communications tailored to each funder’s interests and priorities.
Exceptional writing skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. You’ll ensure all applications and reports are accurate, well-structured, tailored and submitted to a consistently high standard.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to gather information, outcomes and stories that reflect the impact of our programmes.
Manage relationships with trusts and foundations
You’ll help build and manage strong relationships with charitable trusts and foundations through thoughtful stewardship, high-quality communications and proactive engagement.
With support from the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll identify opportunities to secure renewed and increased support, helping grow long-term partnerships with funders.
You’ll also act as an ambassador for Future Frontiers, creating opportunities for supporters to engage more deeply with our work.
Identify new funding opportunities
You’ll proactively identify charitable trusts and foundations with the potential to support Future Frontiers. Through research and collaboration with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help build a strong pipeline of prospective funders and develop tailored approaches for engagement.
Gather case studies and impact stories
You’ll help collect pupil case studies and testimonials that bring the impact of our programmes to life.
This may include attending programme sessions, speaking directly with young people and helping them feel comfortable sharing their experiences. Strong communication skills, sensitivity and the ability to build rapport with young people will therefore be important in this role.
Support wider voluntary income and engagement opportunities
You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation to support wider voluntary income and engagement opportunities where appropriate. This could include supporter engagement activity, charitable giving from businesses and other opportunities that help grow Future Frontiers’ network and income.
Keep accurate and detailed records
You’ll ensure all philanthropy activity is recorded promptly and accurately, helping us manage relationships, reporting deadlines and fundraising activity effectively. You’ll support the team’s efficiency by keeping organised records and helping manage key administrative processes.
You’ll also ensure we meet data protection and fundraising regulations, including GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
Contribute to wider organisational priorities
You’ll be a collaborative team member, supporting cross-team projects and organisation-wide initiatives as needed. From time to time, you may also be asked to take on other duties in line with your role.
About you
Essential
- Experience independently securing high four-figure or ideally five-figure grants from charitable trusts and foundations, including developing successful funding applications and reports.
- Experience managing relationships with funders and delivering thoughtful stewardship to encourage long-term support.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate information clearly, accurately and persuasively for different audiences.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to produce consistently high-quality work while managing multiple deadlines independently.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people including funders, colleagues and young people.
- Experience identifying and researching prospective funders and helping to develop funding pipelines.
- Passion for Future Frontiers’ mission and a strong commitment to improving opportunities for under-resourced young people.
Desirable
- Experience securing multi-year funding.

The Noah Jordan Foundation

About The Noah Jordan Foundation
The Noah Jordan Foundation is a fast-growing UK children’s charity established in memory of Noah, who died in 2024 from POLG mitochondrial disease, a rare and devastating paediatric mitochondrial disorder which can cause severe neurological deterioration and liver failure in children, and for which there is currently no effective treatment or cure.
Following Noah’s death, his family made him a promise: that his legacy would help change the future for children and families affected by mitochondrial disease.
The Foundation was established to deliver that promise through three charitable objectives:
Medical Research
Funding pioneering medical research to improve clinical management, accelerate the development of effective treatments and ultimately help drive progress towards cures for rare paediatric mitochondrial diseases, including POLG-related mitochondrial disorders.
Raising Awareness
Increasing awareness and understanding of mitochondrial disease amongst healthcare professionals, organisations and the wider public through campaigns, events, education and training.
Supporting Children and Families
Providing practical and emotional support to children and families affected by mitochondrial disease through information, resources, services and financial assistance where possible.
Since launching in September 2024, thanks to our incredible community, the Foundation has grown rapidly, raising more than £400,000 in just over 18 months.
Our Impact
The Foundation has already:
- Fully funded a three-year medical research PhD programme into POLG mitochondrial disease at the Mitochondrial Research Group (MRG) at Newcastle University, under the guidance of one of the UK’s leading Professors of Paediatric Mitochondrial Medicine, who also serves as a Charity Medical Advisor to the Foundation.
- Supported affected children, families and organisations across the UK.
- Developed national corporate partnerships and strategic relationships.
- Built a growing national supporter community and dedicated volunteer network.
- Established a growing national profile across mitochondrial disease awareness, fundraising and advocacy.
- Begun work towards funding further pioneering mitochondrial disease research and delivering long-term charitable impact.

The Opportunity

The Noah Jordan Foundation is building towards becoming a nationally recognised force for change within paediatric mitochondrial disease research, awareness and family support.
As the Foundation’s first full-time employee, the Charity Manager will play a key role in shaping the future culture, structure and direction of the organisation.
Reporting directly to the Charity Director and working closely with the Board of Trustees, you will help develop organisational strategy, grow income, strengthen operations, build partnerships and support the long-term sustainability of the Foundation.
The Charity Manager will act as the Foundation’s operational and fundraising lead, helping drive continued growth and maximise impact for children and families affected by mitochondrial disease.
This role requires someone equally comfortable developing strategy, building partnerships and driving income growth, whilst also rolling their sleeves up and supporting practical delivery where required.

Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Income Growth
- Lead and grow fundraising activity across the Foundation.
- Develop and manage corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.

Individual Giving
Working closely with the Director of Development and Board, you will help secure Patrons and donor support that sustains and develops the theatre’s artistic ambitions.
This includes helping to shape and manage Production Syndicates and Giving Circles, researching and cultivating prospective donors, and confidently making funding approaches. The role involves close collaboration with artists and creative teams, connecting supporters directly with the work they are helping to bring to life.
You will build warm, lasting relationships with Patrons, providing excellent stewardship and supporter care, including assisting with ticket bookings and donor experiences. You will also represent the Development team at key theatre events, acting as an engaging and knowledgeable ambassador for the organisation.

Working closely with Trustees, you will help cultivate new supporter relationships through prospect introductions, events and donor engagement activity, playing an important role in strengthening the Theatre’s network of advocates and supporters.
General
As part of a collaborative and ambitious team, you will support the effective administration and financial management of Development activity, maintaining accurate income and expenditure records and contributing to regular income forecasting and reporting.
You will also help coordinate guest lists for Press Nights and other cultivation events, preparing briefing materials for senior staff and Board Members to ensure supporters and stakeholders receive a thoughtful, informed and personalised experience throughout their engagement with the Theatre.

The Senior Supporter Engagement Manager will lead the strategic development of personalised, data‑driven supporter experiences that deepen engagement and maximise long‑term value. Job Purpose:
EMERGENCY is an independent, international NGO providing free, high-quality medical and surgical treatment to victims of war, landmines and poverty. At the same time, it promotes a culture of peace, solidarity and respect for human rights.
Since its founding in 1994, EMERGENCY has worked in 21 countries around the world, providing free medical care in accordance with its core principles of equality, quality and social responsibility. We do this in a sustainable way: by building healthcare facilities, training local personnel, and conducting search and rescue missions in the Mediterranean Sea.
As an affiliate, EMERGENCY UK has set out an exciting ambition to build on its success over the last three years. This includes a substantial growth in its income, with a particular focus on high value giving from philanthropists, trusts and other private donors. The aim is to implement the newly developed high value fundraising strategy, with a view to tripling current income levels from this source by securing high five and six figure gifts of both unrestricted and restricted income.
The purpose of the Senior Development Manager is to build and maintain a portfolio of high value donors and prospects through proactive networking, identifying cultivation opportunities and thoughtful stewardship. With a focus range of £100,000 and above, the position will develop long-term, strategic partnerships with existing and potential high value supporters, where relationships and their impact will be measured from both a financial and non-financial perspective.
The postholder must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a high degree of lateral thinking within a small but hard-working team.
Main activities:
1) To raise funds in the form of high value gifts (focusing on £100,000 and above) through a variety of methods, including regular face-to-face meetings, attending conferences and participating in other activities by implementing a comprehensive programme to identify, research, cultivate and solicit high value donors who have the potential for significant, multi-year giving.
In this context, the postholder will be required to spend a considerable amount of the working week out of the office travelling and meeting in person with potential donors and their representatives.
2) To manage and develop meaningful donor relationships, including with existing donors, by utilising a wide range of methods, including stewardship events and networking amongst existing donors and their contacts.
3) To actively participate in the implementation of the current high value fundraising strategy, leading change and adjusting plans based on experience and realistic assessments in order to meet pre-agreed targets. This includes supporting the ongoing development of all aspects of the strategy, such as the case for support, prospect research, donor recognition opportunities and individual donor development plans for high value donors and prospects.
4) To contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the team, taking a lead role in the annual planning and reporting process for high value donors, providing regular progress reports against income targets and ensuring high standards of accountability. This also includes ensuring written and electronic records of donors are maintained, in compliance with data protection legislation.
5) To represent, and act as an ambassador, for EMERGENCY UK at external events, promoting its work and values where and when possible.
Person specification:
- Senior level experience working with foundations, corporates, high and ultra-high net worth individuals, leading them from identification to giving annual and multi-year gifts at the high five and six-figure level
- Experience of working independently to identify and cultivate prospects and influencers who have the ability to make personal introductions to high and ultra-high net worth individuals
- Experience in implementing high value giving strategies and annual plans for high and ultra-high net worth individuals, including reporting on targets and KPIs
- Experience of identifying potential high value donors, qualifying prospects and managing/growing a high-level prospect pipeline
- Experience of working with restricted grant funding: submitting proposals, completing monitoring forms and reporting to donors
- Experience of working within the humanitarian and development sector is preferable
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in a complex, multi-cultural environment
- Experience of creating high-quality, high-level donor events and bespoke engagements
- Experience of using Salesforce or similar CRM products/fundraising databases
Essential skills:
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Ability to communicate complex themes and subjects in a compelling and engaging way in writing and verbally
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to motivate and engage high value donors and prospects in the work of EMERGENCY
- Strong understanding of restricted grant funding processes, including proposal development, monitoring, and reporting
- Knowledge and understanding of how to use influencers and connectors in the most effective way for the benefit of EMERGENCY UK and the wider organisation
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-moving environment, leading on a wide range of tasks and projects simultaneously

- Knowledge of tax efficient giving in the UK, current data privacy legislation and other regulatory compliance issues

CUF wants to build flourishing communities and tackle poverty, by partnering with churches and groups all over England, and we are looking for a Philanthropy Manager to shape and grow a major gifts programme which has been identified as a key opportunity for growth. You’ll be working closely with our Head of Fundraising and Communications in a small team that values fundraising creativity, and has some great partnerships and resources for you to build on.
We’re seeking a motivated self-starter, with a track record of initiating, managing and developing relationships with high net worth individuals and grantmaking bodies, and securing 5 figure donations and grants.
You will find, and nurture relationships with, philanthropists and non-statutory grant-makers. Some of these will be existing donors, and warm prospects, and others you will identify by research (we’ll provide some administrative help). You’ll also engage with Trustees, and senior staff, to identify and nurture Christian philanthropists and grant body decision-makers within their spheres of influence.
You’ll develop cases for support and write funding applications (helped by the wider staff team) and will build a robust income pipeline based on relational asks, including in person. Stewardship is key, so we want a skilled communicator with great organisational skills. You’ll have a passion for local social action, and will thrive in our collaborative team culture.

We’re looking for an ambitious fundraiser to join our Philanthropy team, capitalising on recent growth and with the chance to really make your mark. Your role is to engage influential and high-profile individuals and Trusts in the UK, connecting them to the difference they can make to thousands of men facing prostate cancer. You’ll lead on our established high value giving club, ‘The Pioneers’, and be creative with developing and growing membership and income for this product.
Providing the highest level of stewardship, you’ll ensure existing and new supporters feel valued, inspiring them to make five and six figure gifts, which will significantly improve the lives of men facing prostate cancer and their families. You’ll also harness the support of our enthusiastic and influential Trustees, Senior Volunteers and Leadership Team, involving them when appropriate.

What we want from you
You’ll bring strong experience within a philanthropy fundraising environment, including a solid understanding of solicitation stages and effective engagement techniques. You’ll have a proven track record of securing five-figure gifts and ideally experience working with major donors and/or trusts, with the credibility and confidence to build lasting relationships with high-net-worth individuals, trustees and senior stakeholders.
A natural collaborator, you’ll combine a strong team ethic with the flexibility and drive needed to achieve ambitious targets. You’ll be an excellent communicator, with the influencing and negotiation skills to engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities, you’ll be able to balance the stewardship of existing supporters with the cultivation of new prospects. You’ll be comfortable working both strategically and in detail, from shaping individual engagement plans to supporting the growth of giving clubs or membership schemes as a key driver of future income and impact so we can save more men’s lives.

How and where we work
Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.
Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.
