To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Trust Fundraising Officer to join our small yet dynamic Fundraising team to help grow our income through Charitable Trusts and grant making organisations.  This is an exciting time to join the organisation as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary year and look to a future of growth and building on our past achievements. 

About the role

- You'll research trusts and foundations funding opportunities to which IHP can apply.
- You'll prepare and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations in order to grow our core income.
- You'll work across teams and build effective relationships with team members in order to identify suitable projects for funding in line with strategy and budgets.
- You'll support the preparation of funding applications by members of the team to other donors, including corporate donors, major donors and other charity partners (NGOs)​

The Trusts and Foundations Officer will support the Trusts and Foundations team to meet income targets and develop and maintain relationships with donors and prospects. The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. The role

This newly scoped role reports into the CEO and is critical to our ability to create the income we need to keep up with the ever-increasing demand on our services. Primarily, the role has two fundamental elements to it: firstly, working with both a specialist external consultant and the CEO in planning, submitting and reporting on the grants that make up a large proportion of our income; and secondly, the planning and managing of TUR’s traditional (and always fun) annual events. These include celebrity interviews and talks, garden parties and various community events such as the Green Days festival in Chiswick. There are additionally a number of community relationships that add great value to our work and efforts to raise funds which require regular contact. Occasionally, the role will also require presenting or talking to both funders and community groups as we share our magnificent story with them – and ultimately, convince them to support us.

About You

You live within – or know well – West/Central London; you probably need a job with some working flexibility and want to have genuine belief in the cause you’re promoting. You have a CV that demonstrates experience in a comparable role: this could be in another charity, CIC or other Non-Profit organisation. The LSO Development department is looking for a knowledgeable and self-motivated individual to join our team as Trusts & Foundations Officer at an exciting time in the LSO’s history. The successful candidate will work with the Head of the Gambling Action Lab (GAL) and the Senior Research Officer to bring together a handful of representatives from financial services firms to explore ways to reduce gambling-related financial harms. They will build and maintain stakeholder relationships and play a key role in facilitating group discussions with financial services representatives. This exciting role will also involve driving and promoting the work and visibility of the GAL, and planning and delivering a programme of events to promote our work.

Role:The Senior Development Officer ​plays an integral role within the Development Team at Forces Employment Charity (FEC). This is a remote role based from home with travel across England and Scotland required, including overnight stays. This is a full time, fixed term maternity cover position until August 2025. The salary for this role is £56,000 - £68,675 per annum.

REQUIRED SKILLS

We are looking for demonstrable experience in a similar role, with knowledge of the approaches, tools and techniques that support clear implementation of internal communications and engagement. It is essential that you have experience of adapting central messaging for specific audiences, a proven ability to deliver an annual programme of staff events, along with managing effective and accessible channels that encourage an inclusive and supportive culture. This is a busy team, with multiple priorities ongoing and huge plans for the future, so it's important that you are highly organised and able to manage your time effectively.

The British Society for Immunology (BSI) is recruiting a permanent full-time Senior Marketing & Communications Officer to deliver engaging communications to a variety of audiences to drive the reach and influence of the Society’s work. 

The British Society for Immunology is an influential and authoritative voice for immunology, a key scientific and health field that plays a central role in many of the most pressing global health challenges we face, including research into the COVID-19 pandemic, developing new treatments and vaccines against disease, and supporting ageing populations to experience healthier lives for longer. This role is split equally between supporting activities of the BSI and those of our publishing portfolio. On the BSI side, you will be responsible for developing and delivering our marketing and communications activity through a variety of channels. Activities can include promoting our membership offering to immunologists working in academia, industry and the clinical sector, promoting key activities such as our events or training offerings, and supporting initiatives to raise the importance and influence of immunology. On publishing, you will be responsible for developing and delivering impactful marketing activities to increase submissions and readership of our official journals, Clinical & Experimental Immunology, Immunotherapy Advances and Discovery Immunology, in particular building the reputation of our newer Open Access journals
